And coming to live in Delaware County in the middle of upper-middle-class suburban sterility, I can't stomach the old business model of the dry cleaners. Enter Apex Cleaners into the picture. On a spacious locale just steps from the Providence Road stop of the Media Trolley, with plenty of parking, with laundry, dry cleaners, alterations, clothes repair, and a number of knick knocks for sale unseen in the rest of the area laundry facilities. And the most friendly. efficient, hard working, Korean American family running it. I went there for cuffs on my new REI hiking pants and spent about 30 minutes talking about Korea and my experiences in that wonderful country with one of the shop keepers. I left both satisfied and reminiscing some great times about my almost 20 years overseas....

Media Real Estate has a laundromat that is extremely usable and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is a clean, modern facility that charges reasonable prices and is welcoming to one and all. There are times that life gets a little complicated yet everyone still needs clean clothes and this is an excellent place to come to. Media is a wonderful community and this is one of the reasons that makes it so. Sitting around the laundromat you never know who you're going to meet, but you can always have wonderful conversations. Come by and enjoy. Easily accessible from SEPTA's bus routes 110 and 118 and the wonderful media 101 trolley. For those who like wonderful experiences and have never been on the trolley or visited Media, come on down, do your laundry and spend a day. You will have no regrets.

Fortunately I had a pouch of quarters that I keep in the car for meters. I didn't have enough to do all the laundry that I brought though. (So the Laundercenter lost that revenue!) The place is unattended, dirty, and small. There weren't any laundry carts so I had to balance my laundry basket on my legs while I loaded and unloaded the machine because I wasn't about to put my basket on that floor! No sink to wash hands or rinse off. The front loaders' dispensers were disgusting; stinky water in them and mold around the gaskets. There was a sign indicating where to go if you lost money in the machines, so I assume this must happen regularly; fortunately it did not happen to me. This place has gotten all the money that it will ever get from me, even if my machine takes longer than a week to fix.

Cost: $16.95 for the suit and it was ready when promised in 2 days. Parking: Their lot is kind of dark and the sign might be hard to miss, it's in the same strip mall as Primo Hoagies and Jing Fong, across from Pinocchio's Restaurant on Baltimore Pike.
