We had looked at other home remodeling and construction companies and decided to use Youngren Construction for remodeling and upgrading our 26 year old house. We were very pleased with Youngren and would recommend them for remodeling/construction projects, especially for those living in the local area of Fallbrook, Bonsall, Rainbow, Oceanside and Temecula. We found that having a local point of contact was extremely helpful, especially for a large time consuming project like ours. We conducted our remodeling effort in two phases with the first focusing on the kitchen, family room and living room and the second on the hallways, bathrooms and bedrooms. The bathrooms were completely remodeled/redesigned with plumbing changes and wall modifications. The flooring in the entire house was replaced with porcelain tile. New baseboards, window casings, closet doors, and windows were added. The Youngren team worked with us from beginning to end (design, permitting process, material selection, demolition, construction, final inspection) and proved to be very flexible when we requested changes as the worked progressed. One of the most positive aspects of Youngren is that they utilize very professional and reliable subcontractors who worked with us (and the Youngren Supervisor) to fine tune and adjust what we wanted. They included electricians, plumbers, countertop fabricators, drywall/finishers, painters, glaziers/shower glass installers, stucco contractors, cabinet makers and tile installers/setters. Extremely unprofessional experience!!! I would give negative stars if I could. Absolutely dismissive, uncommunicative, and RUDE!!! After over a week of no communication, I finally received a voicemail saying they wouldn't be doing the job and would just refer me out. This was after coming into my home, walking through every room, and closely interacting with me and my entire family. I was clear about the scope of work from the beginning, and they agreed to it--only to back out after wasting my time and putting my household at risk. Even if they didn't know, every close interaction with another person is a potential threat to my life due to an extremely serious primary immunodeficiency. This is exactly why it's so important to be kind, respectful, and considerate with other people's time. You never know what someone is going through. I would absolutely NOT recommend! Pick literally anyone else. Worst company I've dealt with yet - just so disrespectful to lie and waste my time. read more

Youngren Construction did a fantastic job replacing all the railing on my three patio decks. I previously had glass panels that were old and wobbly. I had those replaced with cable railing. They also resurfaced one of the patio decks that had some issues. I am thrilled with the results. The cable railing looks so much cleaner and better than the old glass panels. We are almost done with a complete kitchen remodel. We removed walls raised ceilings and moved appliances from one side to the other. We got several estimates and Youngren was the best. I had other companies come out and tell me they couldn't do what we wanted because it was too much work. Scotty the estimated assured us it could be done. Andy the site supervisor was awesome and made sure all the work was done properly and on time. We had some issues with sub contracted cabinets but Scotty and Andy worked non stop trying to fix the problem. The bottom line is Youngreen is an honest hard working company and you will get what you pay for. Scotty and Andy are awesome Totally unrelated to our kitchen remodel I called Scotty and asked questions about some electrical issues. Let me first start off by saying that I am not rating this company on their work. Youngren Construction came recommended by two other local companies, my husband and I have hired to do work around our house. We were super excited to see what they can do to our kitchen, but we will no longer get to see their work because of the lack of professionalism their administration office has shown us. First, we had to wait two weeks to have someone come out to see what we wanted done and give us an estimate. On the day of our consultation, my husband and I rearranged our schedule to ensure we were home. However, my husband called the office an hour after our appointment, and the lady who arranges the company scheduled failed to send the person our appointment time. My husband was willing to give this company another chance since they were recommended by other local companies who we were more than pleased with their work. After my husband met with one of the workers a week later, he set up another appointment to meet with one of their cabinet guys. Again, the office lady failed to set up the appointment. The lady who runs the office said she text the wrong person. My husband and I are so disappointed because we like to support our local companies. Unfortunately, we will not use this company because of their unprofessional administration staff who cannot set up appointments correctly. read more

We used this company about four years ago for a renovation in San Clemente, and Scott did an excellent job. We didn't change the outside of the house, with the exception of adding a sliding glass door, removing and enlarging the front deck, replacing the roof, and adding gutters. However, we did some pretty major stuff on the inside. We did not live in the house during construction. We tore down walls, moved walls and doorways, added recessed lights in the living room and kitchen, changed all light fixtures and ceiling fans, completely gutted and rebuilt the kitchen, utility room and both bathrooms, refinished the hardwood floors, added some tile floors, and replaced every window and door in the entire house. Scott gave us some excellent suggestions on how to solve some issues regarding the things we wanted to do, and do some things that we never thought of. We picked out EVERYTHING, right down to the type of screws we wanted to use. We ordered the majority of items and had them shipped directly to Scott's office or to the house. He gave us a time frame of eight months to do everything. It took two months to order the blue prints of the existing house, order the blue prints for the renovation, and obtain all of the permits and inspections that were necessary for the job. Scott did everything by the book. The construction itself took six months, and he finished EXACTLY on schedule, despite tackling some unforeseen problems that were uncovered after the demolition. He made it all look so easy. We were in communication with him constantly and would stop by the house once a week to see the progress. He knows exactly what he's doing, and organizes the scheduling details like a well-oiled machine. We would definitely use Scott again and highly recommend him. read more
