When I checked in, I confirmed that I was there for a consultation, and the front desk said yes. After waiting about 20 minutes in the lobby, I was brought into a room and told by an assistant that I was there for a teeth cleaning and X-rays. I explained that I had just had a recent cleaning with my regular dentist and already had X-rays. After waiting again, I was then told they could not do an exam without taking new X-rays. They offered to do them for free, but that felt odd to me since this is supposed to be a more health-conscious form of dentistry, and I didn't want unnecessary X-rays. No one told me ahead of time that I should have my existing X-rays transferred over, which is something I could have easily done before the appointment had I known. Overall, it was a very frustrating experience. The staff did not seem clear on the purpose of my appointment, and the communication felt disorganized. The work I was considering is not inexpensive, and as a potential new patient, I would have expected the office to handle a consultation inquiry with more care and professionalism.

This review of Alora Dental is especially for my fellow neurodivergent adults seeking dental care…read more As many of us know, once we find a place, doctor, or even a favorite coffee shop that works for us, we're not easily persuaded to make a change. Here's what I've found with Dr. Bendi and the entire team at Alora Dental. They're on time. Waiting and uncertainty can throw off an entire day, so this matters more than many people realize. I've even felt comfortable texting the front desk before my appointment to ask if they're running on schedule, and they've always been kind and helpful. The sensory environment is also manageable and predictable. The lighting is bright but not overwhelming, which is to be expected in a dental office. The temperature is usually comfortable, though occasionally a little cool. The office has a neutral smell, and the staff wear little to no overpowering fragrances. Most importantly, I feel known, respected, and genuinely cared for. Dr. Bendi is gentle, thorough, and consistently puts both my overall health and dental health first. I especially appreciate his understanding that many neurodivergent people process information through bottom-up thinking. He takes the time to explain details rather than expecting blind trust, and that makes a tremendous difference. This may only be my second or third public review, but I felt compelled to write it. I hope it helps others find a reliable, honest dentist--especially those of us who need information, predictability, and understanding in order to feel safe and comfortable receiving care.

They pay attention to every little detail, and I always leave with results that are far beyond what I could have imagined. Dr. Justin Newberry and Dr. Amanda Silverman are both incredible. Their level of care, attention to detail, and commitment to making sure you're genuinely happy with your results is unmatched. Cara, my hygienist, is absolutely wonderful, and makes every cleaning such a comfortable experience. Lisa, Dr. Newberry's right hand, is kind, caring, and eases all anxiety with any dental work. The office itself is absolutely beautiful...immaculate, extremely hygienic, luxurious, and equipped with the latest technology! There's something about the environment and the people that immediately puts you at ease, which says a lot for a dental office! You never feel like just another patient here; they genuinely take care of you as if you were their own family. From the doctors to the hygienists and the entire team, the level of care is exceptional. I wouldn't trust my teeth with anyone else and truly couldn't recommend Napa Valley Dentistry enough!

Pleasant tech asked me to put my purse in one room while we walked passed patients in chairs to get to the panoramic machine. No vest was placed on me for protection like was done when I had a panoramic done elsewhere. Tech told me it would take 3 days for the before and after photos would be available to see. After one week of waiting, I was told they were waiting for the lab. Also, no one asked to schedule my next appointment. I didn't hear back after asking receptionist for a phone call from the dentist (so I could privately explain my experience instead of doing it here). I had requested a written breakdown of cost and got just one sentence from one of the 3 different front-desk women (not a breakdown of services like other offices provide) and it didn't match the deal on their website which is why I had asked for clarification. Three patients were being taken care of by hygienists in an open room; I prefer a private room. Dentist's website advertises a fantastic deal for Invisalign. It may be a great opportunity, but I didn't move forward. He is not short of patients, so I realize he doesn't need my business and will carry on without me.

From the front desk staff, who are always so welcoming and eager to help, to the back office staff, who go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and cared for, this office truly runs like a well-oiled machine. You can tell that providing an exceptional patient experience is a priority for the entire team. Today, I had a nearly three-hour appointment and had the pleasure of working with Becca. Before we even got started, she made sure I had everything I could possibly need to be comfortable--a weighted blanket, protective eyewear, a neck pillow, and even headphones so I could enjoy Netflix during my visit. Throughout the entire procedure, she continually checked on me, explained what she was doing, and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. As someone who has a lot of anxiety surrounding dental work, that level of patience and attentiveness means more than I can say. Becca truly put my mind at ease and made what could have been a stressful three-hour appointment feel completely manageable. Exceptional care like that is rare, and she is truly a gem! I cannot thank Becca and the entire staff enough for the care they have given me over the years and for everything they've done to help me maintain not only my smile, but my confidence as well. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found an office I trust so much. I will absolutely be a patient for life!
