On July 9, 2024 I purchased a 1965 Ford Ranchero from Haake Motors in Layton UT. The car was a consignment sale, but I was not able to pick it up until July 28 because the dealer got their own Utah title which was not necessary (remember it was a consignment sale). It gets even better. Haake Motors never sent the title to m y home state of Nevada until November 22, 2024, four months after I picked up the car. I previously called several times asking them to send the title. Total amateurs. I was assured the car was ready to go. After all, it was represented as a great driver in it's Las Vegas home. It was clean and appeared fine, and I checked under the hood for any apparent leaks. None found. All clean. I was told the AC was fine. I started the four hour drive back to my home and realized the air was not working, but decided to continue my trip. Within 50 miles the car was overheating. Under the hood the thermostat housing and water pump gaskets were leaking, and were cleaned up before I picked the car up. The AC hose fittings at the firewall were all hand loose, so the AC was never working. I got as far as St. George and ended up having the car transported to my home, 180 miles away. It was clear this car could not have been a Las Vegas driver...no AC and water gasket leaks. I called the dealer and spoke with the salesman telling him about my plight, and asked for consideration. Nothing ever happened. No follow-up from them. No concern. Nothing. Only a botched title transfer and vehicle misrepresentation.

1 STAR - ABSOLUTELY DISHONEST AND UNPROFESSIONAL…read more This place is a nightmare, and I regret ever bringing my car here. I initially went to this body shop on December 2nd just to get a quote. They took photos of the body damage and then told me I had engine damage that "had to be sent to their mechanic." I was told that was necessary to move forward, so I dropped my car off on December 5th. From that point on, communication was almost nonexistent. They sent me a body estimate and repeatedly told me they were "waiting on the mechanic." My insurance adjuster didn't even inspect the car until December 9th, yet Allstate issued a payment that same day -- a payment I never signed for, never authorized, and never agreed could be cashed. Weeks went by with no updates. On December 15th, they again claimed they were still waiting on their mechanic. Then I heard nothing until December 29th. When I told them I wanted to move my car to another shop due to the ridiculous delays, I was suddenly told I couldn't -- because they had already cashed the insurance check without my authorization. At that point, I didn't know better and felt trapped, so I reluctantly agreed to continue. Big mistake. They didn't submit the mechanic's estimate until January 5th, at which point they conveniently decided the engine issue "wasn't related to the accident" -- despite the fact that my engine had ZERO leaks before the accident. On January 8th, I demanded my check back and told them I would pick up my car on January 12th. I was told it would take two weeks to return the money. It is now January 28th, and I still do not have my check. To make matters worse, I contacted their corporate office and spoke to someone named Chris, who said he would "look into it." Instead of helping, he falsely told the body shop that I approved the repairs -- which I absolutely did NOT. The body shop then texted me claiming I had approved work and needed to bring my car back. That never happened. Let me be very clear: I never signed anything. I never authorized payment. I never approved repairs. This shop cashed a check without consent, stalled for over a month, withheld funds they have no right to, and then tried to cover themselves by falsely claiming I approved work. This is not just incompetence -- this is unethical business behavior. If you value your time, your money, or your vehicle, stay far away from this place.

**They'll do and say whatever to get the sale. I don't recommended this dealership. **…read more Came here because my wife wanted to trade in her convertible since we expanded to a family of 5. The sales rep Kj was very nice and helpful. He catered to our desires and kept a consistent personality through out the whole experience. He didn't pressure us to look at cars or try to buy one out of the range we wanted to be in and worked to provide us options within the budget we had. When we found the car and it came to closing we were introduced to Skyler. He basically sold us the financing. On the front end he was nice but turns out he just lied to us. I don't appreciate dishonest business. When we chose the car of choice there were 3 things wrong with it. Windshield wipers didn't work the usb port or the driver door speaker. They fixed the wipers but wouldn't fix the others. Skyler told us that he won't fix the other two but if you buy the extended warranty it will cover the repair. I said are you sure because it doesn't say it in the pamphlet but he ensured it falls under the electrical part of the warranty and you'll be good. He just asked us to wait a month to file the claim. We waited 2.5 months and got it checked and the warranty says they won't cover it. When I spoke to Skyler he said he'll see what he can do but not right now. It's been 2 weeks no contact from him or any form of communication. When I spoke to him his solution was we can cancel your warranty and you can just pay for the repairs with the warranty refund. I told him that's not the principal. You sold us this with the promise that it would cover it. We trusted your word and you put it on it with strength it would work. We told you we didn't want the car unless this was fixed. You lied to us to get your rep a sale. You sold the warranty and let us know that it will give the car extra coverage and protection in case something else goes wrong. We agreed that was valuable. Now the dealership wants to charge us over $500 to fix these two things and do nothing about it but tell us to cancel our warranty and get the refund to pay for this. If leadership has no integrity when selling the car , just to get a deal could you imagine how they would be when a serious issues arises it? Now our car is having what I assume electrical issues. When driving it freaks out with a bunch of notifications, turns e brake on and blinkers, slows down and won't let us operate it. It's scary because the first time it happened I didn't have a safe space to pull over and turn the car off praying it will work again. Will attach video for reference. Note we drove the car off the lot 3 months ago and no issues. And this started the day after going to their service shop to our promised repairs fixed and nothing happened. Even though the sales guy made our experience pleasant, because of the way leadership handled this experience I won't buy a vehicle from them again because of the lack of integrity and honesty provided.

However, I'm well aware that the year makes it old but it's also a Toyota who literally advertise that after 15 years their vehicles are still on the road but okay. After negotiating I finally got them up to 20k (even tho KBB said 22-24k) for my trade in. However, these people BOUGHT a car that had damage on the driver side wheel arch panel, rear tailgate, dents on the driver side door. But the dents on the wheel arch WAS HORRIBLE! THEN Scott and the manger told me "well since we have to spend money to make money we're going to take it $1,000 out of your trade". NO. YOU BOUGHT THAT VEHICLE WITH NOTICEABLE DAMAGES/DENTS AND YOU WANT ME TO PAY FOR IT??! Absolutely not. Also, how are you going to give me a big speech about how "we don't like to put the young names on vehicles that are not worthy of it" but then purchase a vehicle with MULTIPLE dents? Crazy if you ask me. Oh and on top of that at the very end Scott said "so we did all of that for what". After I had apologized multiple times for "wasting his time" but I did not feel comfortable making a deal that would add -11,360 (trade in, taxes, titles, and fee) to a 30,000k car. You're acting like I didn't refuse your deal multiple times and said "I will not trade it in for anything less than what I deserve". Anyways, sold my car to a different dealership who gave me 24k for my trade in WHO IS MILITARY FRIENDLY for a white 2019 Chevy Suburban with LESS MILES( 80k) and a better interest rate and payment. Please don't contact me. You can't fix it or change my mind Oh and yes, I'm well aware that I overpaid for my Highlander that's why I wanted out of it even after refinancing and my family needed something bigger!

EV Cars - Poorly fixed rock chip made after we purchased car.

Not much good to say about our experience. It is an instance of BUYERS BEWARE of dishonesty, lack…read moreof follow through, ill intent and disappointment of reasonable expectations for this caliber of vehicle. After the car deal was done the previous owner drove our 2019 Tesla Model S approximately 80 miles putting more miles on it and getting 3 significant rock chips. The car was delayed due to them waiting for Safelite Auto Glass to fix the chip. They only fixed one of the 3 and it was a poor job. Our sales person, Isaac, agreed upon delivery that it was not a great fix. At this time we also pointed out a big scratch on the top of the trunk to which he said, "ya that's bad". There was a piece of window moulding on the back passenger side that was coming apart too. Isaac claims to have no recollection of any of this discussion. We were informed the tires needed to be replaced soon but this turned out to be in 2 weeks. That was not conveyed in the urgency to show the true nature of the condition. Isaacs comments were not only offensive but rude. He pointed out that once we took ownership it was our problem. Verbatim per his text "I don't remember that conversation....if everyone came to me a month or 2 after buying the car wanting things done I'd be out of a job". Keep in mind we discussed it with him upon pick up. We asked him to make it right which he refused to do. He reiterated that we purchased it "as is" and it is, I quote, "They filled the rock chip and that's what we did to fix it anything after that is up to you guys!" We clarified it was not fixed right and asked for consideration for him/them to make things right. This was when he went silent. This is an $80k+ vehicle. We have purchased several Lexus' and Volksagons from different states that were delivered to us in prestine condition with no problems. These cars were purchased sight unseen other than the listing. Our expectation from a TESLA dealer was the same or higher. They did not disclose anything except the chip and the understated condition of the tires. The ironic thing is the the moulding is covered by a service call from Tesla. EV Cars has insurance that should cover that window replacement that was their fault. They wouldn't be out anything but perhaps a deductible. The scratch was significant because the car has a $6,000 wrap that is ruined. He said at the pick up he could do something about it. We are fairly confident it happened when he placed a paperwork clipboard on it. We were referred by a close friend who had title issues with Isaac too. This friend is a Tesla Pro and is convincing several people to buy a Tesla and it would be a mistake to direct them to EV Cars. This experience has tainted our fun purchase and angered us by how we were treated and the lack of follow through. We understand there are risks in purchasing a car where we see the video of the car and take the reputation of Tesla and their relationships for granted and have never been burned. Tesla equals top notch vehicle, service and basically catering to the customer to us. Speaking of the video - in it he points out the charger in the trunk AND an "extra charger" that EV Cars throws in. That is on video from him. At pick up there was not an extra charger and he claims he never said there was. When referred to that video his response was it was a mistake and they never supply a charger. Isaac is a sneaky, lying, untrustworthy sales person. He lives by the stereotypical "used car salesman" mold. It is not a compliment. I am sure any response to this review will reiterate his text that we purchased it as is. True. And he is not a man of his word and negligent. Live and learn, when we saw how many things were unacceptable to us we should not have taken him at his word. He is an inexperienced very young sales person trying to work in a big world. #tesla #usedtesla #evcars #usedcars
