Called around and decided to take it elsewhere. Jared was suddenly offering me cheaper alternatives including a used and rebuilt tranny. When I declined, he sent me a receipt for over $100 for the previously described "complimentary" inspection. These guys are all Shysters dressed well in matching uniforms in a nice and clean facility, but they are all dishonest and untrustworthy Shysters just the same. I'd recommend Lodders Auto in Bountiful Utah, if you want to deal with honest mechanics that won't try to take advantage of elderly or female customers or patrons.

They said they could continue to diagnose the problem but it could be from $200 to $2000 for the diagnosis. I am a bit of a DIY,er and did some googling on my own. A common error code after inputting into google said it could have a bad ECM. Opening up the fusebox myself I found that 3 different relays were missing altogether. My logical reasoning tells me they don't even own the tool to take out the ECM and check it for corrosion. Which I just ordered myself on EBAY. Overall recommendation... anywhere but here. ;-)
