These guys are amazing!!…read more I needed some handyman work done (I have zero skills in this department) and came across this company on an online search. They advertise as movers but can do lots of other stuff. I got them to hang 2 IKEA lack shelves which have a reputation of being a hassle to put up. They arrived on time, got the shelves up quickly with no mess or disruption and everything went off without a hitch. The 2 men who did the job were super friendly and courteous and even helped me carry a treadmill inside from the garage (too heavy for me) before they left for the day. They reply quickly and have very competitive pricing. I will definitely be using them again when I have another job at home or if I ever need moving services!

It was an intense 6-hour move; the movers were SO strong! I seriously don't know how they lifted many of our furniture barehanded. We had a really big couch and a massive wardrobe, and the movers made it look super easy during the transport! Thank you so much to Tiffany for coordinating the move and for the easy communication via text. She was very helpful and made sure everything was running smoothly before, during, and after the move! Highly recommend this family-run business for a truly unique moving experience :)

A very frustrating and unprofessional experience. I would not recommend them…read more I had a smooth experience the first time I used this moving company, which is why I chose them again. Unfortunately, this second experience was very disappointing. 1. Damaged Furniture & Missing Parts During the move, my table was damaged and several screws went missing. I was away in Asia at the time, so my boyfriend had to handle everything with the movers. When I returned, I found the table broken and incomplete. When I raised this issue with the company, they responded that none of their workers recalled causing any damage. They also said that since more than 10 days had passed, there was nothing they could do, which I find completely unacceptable. 2. Incomplete Work (Door Not Reinstalled) They also removed a door because it was in the way, but did not reinstall it afterward, which caused unnecessary inconvenience. 3. Extra Cost & Time Due to Their Issue In addition, I was clearly told over the phone that two trucks would be provided. However, only one truck showed up on the day, and they later claimed it wasn't written in the agreement, so nothing could be done. Because of this, the move took significantly longer than it should have. This also forced my boyfriend to rent a U-Haul and complete part of the move himself. On top of that, even though the delay was caused by their failure to provide the agreed number of trucks, they still charged by the hour.

Thank you Mike and team for helping me move from my basement apt to a condo in North York…read more I was hesitant at first due to the lack of yelp reviews, but I checked this company out on google reviews and they were ranked pretty high. So hoping this review on yelp will help other yelpers find a smooth moving company like I did. (: Service was fast and friendly and I was able to set up a move within a week with no hassle. The movers showed up on time and packed everything for me. The entire move took just under 5hours, including an hour travel time. Great experience and I would definitely go with this company again for my next move. Thank you Francis Movers!!

****BEWARE**** DO NOT USE FRANCIS MOVERS…read more I am extremely disappointed with the service we received from Francis movers (11 Zaph ave.), What should have been an exciting move into our new home turned into a very upsetting and stressful experience. It happened to be raining on our move when the movers entered our home they had wet dirty shoes and they proceeded to walk all over our cream coloured carpet. I specifically asked if they could put shoe covers on over three shoes to which they replied they do not supply them. They also mentioned that they were very limited on runners for the carpet. Despite knowing the weather conditions, there was very little care shown for protecting the home. During the move, expensive dishes and vases were broken, when my daughter and I heard the crashing of dishes, I asked what broke, they stared laughing saying "nothing broke". They didn't even bother to wrap or protect light coloured furniture items which in turn ended up soiled. They were extremely disrespectful and careless with our belongings and our home. To make matters worse, there was a smell of what appeared to be marijuana which was completely unacceptable and made us very uncomfortable. Once, I unboxed everything, numerous dishes and expensive vases were broken, as I figured. The most upsetting and disturbing part of the nightmare experience was discovering that precious heirloom jewellery given to me by my mother and grandmother , was missing from my jewellery tray that I had left inside my dresser. I made the mistake by not removing the jewellery before the move as I had a lot on my plate. I had meant to get back to it and pack it away. Sadly, I was so busy taking care of other things during the move that I forgot to pack it away and it was left in the dresser. When I unwrapped the dresser from the plastic wrap that they had wrapped around it, the jewellery try was empty. Odd that they would tightly wrap a dark wood dresser and not wrap light coloured furniture. Given the movers wrapped the dresser and were the people handling and transporting our belongings this is extremely upsetting. I WOULD ABSOLUTELY NOT RECOMMEND FRANCIS MOVERS

Vlad responded via phone first, then followed up via Yelp messaging with a quote within 20 minutes. I've learned over the years that good service is worth every penny, but with that said, the prices are very reasonable and competitive or cheaper than other movers. Before they showed up for the move, they called ahead to confirm the pickup time. Two friendly gentlemen showed up on time and got right to work after confirming the agreed upon prices. These guys did not rest and moved very quickly on what was a scorcher of a summer day. They were professional, friendly, and did a fantastic job both in the pickup and drop off our stuff. They wrapped everything carefully and secured our possessions in the truck so they wouldn't slide around during the drive. They also did the whole move in exactly 3 hours, which is the minimum you pay for (common among moving companies). So the quote was exactly what we paid. I was incredibly impressed and would definitely use Max Moving again.
