A corner shop with a mini post office inside. This PO location rarely has much of a queue and the employees are always helpful. The only downside is that it's just the basics and doesn't have the widest opening hours. read more

Possibly the worst Post Office I've ever been to - I've never waited less than 25 minutes (queue…read morealways out the door), and when you get to the counter, the staff try to sell you Post Office Broadband! (Sounds like a badly written review, but it's true!) Avoid at all costs - use Mail Boxes etc. in Pimlico/Victoria instead.

Though I was not sure what category "1st class signed for" should be? Nevermind. Got a ticket. Still had to wait a long time before my number was called. The new system is good if you are only after less popular services like foreign exchange.

How unhelpful & completely daft can someone be???

However, they are severely understaffed, and the queues end up being very long. The building itself is small, and very hot and stuffy, so when you're waiting up to half an hour to be served, you become very irritated. The opening hours are also a bit inconvenient if you work, but I don't know how much of that is directly up to the branch itself. Basically, staff are lovely, but expect to come out of there a much more agitated person than when you went in.
Thank goodness for a local post office! As a current…read moreemployee of the United States Postal Service (19 years & counting)... it's great that this location was a 3 minute walk from our flat. It's a quaint office, but, offers tons of services here. The other day, we mailed off some postcards. Elizabeth was our retail clerk that day & today as well. This office also does money exchange (and we took advantage of some leftover Euro bills in our possession)... Euro to Quid/ Pounds. For this service only notes can be exchanged- not coin. If you are shipping things back to your home, my advice is bring a pen or Sharpie marker to write on any parcels/ packages/ envelopes... as I didn't see any on the counters. There are 2 cash machines outside of the building as well.

This post office is always super busy and under staffed. They have subsequently put automated…read moremachines in the post office to try and alleviate the demand but it takes even longer to use these than to be served by a person. Especially as you still need a person to authorise parcels such as special delivery or international post. Most importantly my review is about the way one is treated. Today I asked for 1st class signed for option and the Jamaican lady tried to sell me a more expensive special delivery option to which I naturally replied "no thank you I would like to post the parcel via signed for, 1st class". She then went on to say she did not appreciate my tone and she was only doing her job and that next time I should use the machines - I was completely shocked to say the least in how she treated me when I just wanted to post my parcel via a 1st class signed for option. Not to mention that it is clear her job is in fact to try and flog more expensive postal options to customers when it is not needed. I am extremely happy not to revisit this post office again (after using it for 6 years) and take our local business' post elsewhere, after being treated in such a 'chip on your shoulder' manner. Please take your employees to some customer service training courses.

There were massive holes in all sides of the box and I'm absolutely amazed that nothing fell out. I think the copious amounts of Fragile tape that I put on the box where the only thing holding it together. While I was overjoyed that all of my items miraculously arrived, my joy was short-lived. Despite being wrapped in multiple layers of bubble wrap and copious amounts of newspaper, the obvious rough handling of my parcel resulted in many of my antique plates being broken. Suffice it to say, I am furious.
