Have also found it closed at other times of day when it should be open - rather annoying. The shop sells a wide range of cards, stationary and other mainly non-food items. Lady who usually operates the cash till is pleasant.

Even if the staff aren't talking to someone on their mobile, service is minimal, and last time I was there I had to work quite hard to get them to give me a simple proof of posting (they told me they didn't have the forms and to come back tomorrow!). Asking for second class recorded got sighs and disbelief. In short, if you are in West Byfleet and need to post a letter, carry on and go to Byfleet Post Office, where the staff are friendly, polite and know their stuff. And don't hold conversations on their mobiles.

Car tax available here which is a bonus if you don't want the hassle of going into Woking
