The post office in Addlestone is dire!…read more Moveed a few years ago to be on the front of the then newly built Tesco, it has about 8 till points, only two of which ever seem to be manned at any given time and this decreases to one till point at peak hours such as lunchtime when you can quite literally queue out of the door. The staff all seem very unhappy with their lot - probably because they have to reguarly put up with people complaining about the length of time they have waited. Life really is too short to go to Addlestone post office unless a complete necessity!

The GWP (Goldsworth Park) post office is one of those hidden gems. Sited at the back of the…read morenewsagents in the small GWP shopping centre it provides most of the major post office functions in a truely local setting. You'll have to go into Woking town centre for some things like car tax. Staff are generally friendly and efficient. The GWP shopping area is currently subject to a planning application which may impact on the presence of the post office. There's much local outcry and we hope this is one service that can be saved for the local community.

Also had a copy of the 'Swap book' here, as well as lists of people who wanted to exchange into and out of the area. Now used by the Community Development worker and no longer has a counter facility for payments. Rent etc is payable at Sheerwater Post Office Disabled access doorway
