Grandma is now retired but she opened the store over 20 years ago. Everything they have in this small shop is thoughtful and great for kids. We ended up buying a kite for a kid's birthday. They have small kites and very large complex kites ranging from $15 to $50. They have a nice assortment of books with diverse protagonists. I almost picked up the Spanish version of Junot Diaz's Lola but I resisted. My two year old would probably need to get a little older before being able to appreciate that book. They also have board books and even an embroidered first Bible. Their puppets in the store are fun. Grandma is proud that she got the puppet maker to include legs so they could be used as puppets or dolls. We left with our kite wrapped and a hand made 3D birthday card. What a wonderful store. Now I can't wait for the next kid birthday so I can come back!

The store is jammed packed with a variety of gifts for children and adults. There is a large selection of handcrafted jewelry. There are also a creative clocks and unique clothes which you can purchase. Since the Heights Co-op team is only in their temporarily, please check the store times before you stop by. They do not have heat so don't expect to warm up. Even without heat, the co-op team is very welcoming and looking to support local products. My wife and I pick up some unique sweatshirts with the little red lighthouse logo on it. I will try to stop by again before they close for the season.

And, I bought another in colors of brown, black, cream, with a black/cream houndstooth design. There is a great selection, and no surprise, this item is one of the most popular gift items. The quality is very nice. I used to have very long hair, to my knees, so I'm particular when it comes to hair accessories, I'm looking to make sure the edges on the clip are finished, not rough so that it does not damage my hair. I was so happy to find an assortment of various sized clips. Nice quality. And I didn't have to hunt for them in various drug stores or other specialty shops. Years ago, the best clips were made in Paris, France. These days, you can find nice quality hair clips in various shops. How convenient that I found some good clips here. I'm writing this September 2025, and my best advice for those who may celebrate birthdays, and holidays with fun gifts, visit this shop. If you keep a gift closet , stop in here, for sure. I felt like I was in a museum w/ antiques.There was so much to see that I could have easily spent hours just exploring everything. I really wish I had more time, b/c I didn't even get to rummage through the entire store. Every corner seemed to have something new, including drawers & drawers of items that looked like they dated all the way back to the 1960s & maybe even the 1950s or older. Overall, it felt like one of those places you could get lost in for hours & still keep discovering new things. My absolute fave was the 80's & 90's nostalgia (my era)! It took me back in time to when I was growing up! Prices were fairly decent.
