Seems like they have some regulars that visit as a group of people were chatting and laughing, so that's super cool to see that there's a local community. LOTS of different plants in here, some of which arn't unusual or rare, but the way they were displayed were very appealing and gave an idea of how to style these at home. My friend and I stopped in this afternoon to check out some plants for our home. Instantly I felt…read morelike I was in heaven!! Pretty plants of all sizes lined up along from the floor to shelves. The ladies working there were so nice and helpful- without being overwhelming. They answered questions we had and were so helpful in picking out the right plants we wanted. I'm still very new with being a plant mom so this was a much needed experience for me. I ended up purchasing a calathea family plant. The plant itself cost $26 and another $26 for a nice pot. This is a medium sized plant so I found that this was a good price. They pot it for you and this was a life saver for me! You can also choose what pot you'd like if you the plant is in a different pot (not potted) on display. There are some quality pots that can cost $$ but there are so many options, which I appreciated the most. I'm all about supporting local small businesses. I'm so happy that near west side has a cute plant shop like Jewelweed that I look forward to coming back to!!

They offer many classes for a small fee in regards to homesteading - raising chickens, creating/using herbal remedies, and making soap are just a few. You don't have to have a farm to find something interesting here! There are products for sale for gardening, composting, canning, soap making, farming/animal husbandry, fermenting, and homemade body products. They also have a freezer section with local meat and eggs, if you are looking to purchase locally grown foods. There is a surprising amount of usable/collectible vintage and ceramic items as well, like cast iron skillets, fermentation crocks, butter churns, and linens. The owners are super friendly and willing to help with any questions. By purchasing items here instead of Tractor Supply, Lowe's, etc, you are helping to support a local business, so keep that in mind if prices are slightly higher than a chain store. Come check this place out, and maybe even learn a new skill!
