This drink has a strong coffee flavour and you can truly taste the toffee nut. I like that it's super refreshing and it's perfect for the summer days. My friend ordered the Ice Biscoff Latte with Whipped Cream. If you are a biscoff fan, this is a must-order. They use biscoff to blend into the latte and they even place a full biscoff cookie on top of the whipped cream. It balances the sweetness of the drink and the coffee flavour at the same time. We also ordered the Smoked Salmon Toast which has a garlicky cream cheese, cucumber, smoked salmon, fresh dill, avocado, capers, radish and a slice of lime. This is a hefty gourmet toast and I love how fresh all the ingredients are. Make sure to squeeze the slice of lime before having it, and it really adds some sourness to the whole dish. I am a huge fan of capers, so this added some tanginess! All the employees are really kind-hearted and will come around often to check in on their customers. But they must be doing something right if they opened a second location on Bank St, a third location in the Byward Market and now a fourth location in Orleans. Their specialty appears to be fruit smoothies and dessert crepes/waffles. So I decided to try their smoothies. I got the Fancy Dude $13 which is avocado smoothie layered with mango smoothie and strawberry smoothie on top. There's sliced fruits (kiwi, star fruit, strawberries and blueberries) on top as well as crushed nuts (I think pistachios). I added Astha (Lebanese cream) for an additional $1.50. There was also honey drizzled on top. The drink was super pretty and fairly tasty, but I found the price a bit high. The amount of Ashta I received was small, just a little scoop. The smoothie was definitely tastier than the bubble tea I had at their OG location when they first opened. The smoothies here are similar to the smoothies at La Bocca Juice down on Bank St, or Cocktail Antabli and Cocktail Hawaii (both in Montreal). Service was pleasant. Decor is nice. They had lots of boxes of fresh mangos stacked in the corner, as well as lots of fresh mangos in the glass display, so I'm thinking their mango drinks contain real mango, lol. I am fairly certain that the owners of this location owned the Presotea on Slater, which closed down in recent years. I'm happy about the relocation. They had some baked goods like Acma (soft Turkish bagels) and Simit (hard Turkish bagels) and also baklava. They had a lot of Turkish Delight as well. The lady offered us a free sample of their Turkish coffee, which was really strong, lol. We got some baklava ($7 for 4 pieces, it's sold by the weight), an Acma ($3.25) as well as some instant drink mixes ($1 each), a Cappuccino and a drink called Salep that we learned is a Turkish drink made of the tubers of orchids. They had lots of imported drinks, like Strawberry Fanta and Strawberry Crush. Also drinks with basil seeds in them. Staff (likely the owners) were very friendly and welcoming. The place is bright and clean. I asked if they were going to serve prepared foods and they said they are planning on it. My parents will be over the moon if/when they do, especially if they serve pide (Turkish pizza). I'm so happy to see more diverse businesses opening up. I stopped by Sweet n Salad to grab a salad for lunch on the way to my parents' house (they were craving Chinese food, so I grabbed some combos for them elsewhere, but I was looking for something lighter and less greasy for myself, lol). I got the Signature Salad ($15.99), but substituted the pomegranate seeds with cucumbers. The salad comes with mixed greens, quinoa, grape tomatoes, feta cheese, chicken, pumpkin seeds and Italian seasonings sprinkled on top. I asked for the dressing on the side. The default dressing is their Signature dressing, which I can best describe as a light sweet dressing. I loved that it was on the watery side and was neither too oily nor too creamy/rich. I only used about a sixth of it, but saved the rest to use on my own salads ;) The vegetables were for the most part fresh. Although a few of the lettuce pieces were browning. The chicken was lean breast meat cut into cubes. All the salad ingredients are prepped and ready and they just assemble the ingredients when you order it. There are preset salads or you can create your own with the ingredients they have. Overall the salad was tasty and the portion size was good. The price was a bit high in my opinion, but everything seems to be expensive these days. It's definitely convenient, and there aren't many places in Orleans to get quick meals that aren't greasy or deep-fried, lol. It's one of the healthier options. I'm looking forward to bringing my nieces here to try their rolled ice cream. The restaurant has some seats to dine in, but there's no table service.
