I signed up for her all levels class and was offered 10 days unlimited for $20, a deal that truly cannot be beat! It was a great class, so I decided to try Janie's all levels class on Tuesday. It was a challenging class, and I was definitely feeling it in my shoulders! On Wednesday I dragged my mom who was in town and Eric R. to Tara's deep stretch class, a favorite of mine from the other studio. It was just what we needed during a furious holiday week. The studio was closed on Christmas day and I had already booked a class elsewhere Friday, so I returned today (Saturday) for Ashley's power flow class. I walked in nervously as I was not sure I could keep up with a power class, and luckily another person expressed the same concern. Ashley assured us it was just about a fast-paced cardio segment in the middle 20 minutes of class, and she would watch us and adjust pacing if needed. It was a really great class, starting with core work. We did a lot of cool things that I thought were really good for me and even movements I did not think I would be able to do in the past. I felt accomplished at the end of class! I still plan to take yin and gentle yoga to try more classes before my pass runs out on New Year's Eve. A few notes for people new to the studio: the spots are yoga-mat length/shaped raised cork from the floor and the mat goes on top of it. You can use a mat from the studio for free or bring your own. The studio has a lot of props including bolsters, blankets, blocks, foam rollers, and weights. It is very clean and spacious. It feels welcoming for all ages.

I am a Pilates girl, and I am still intimidated by yoga, but man, I always love it. I saw a posting for a reiki/sound bath/stretching event this past Sunday. It was a $30 drop in event. I swung by Sunday for the event. Parking was a little challenging, but I circled around and found parking on the street up a bit. The studio is small-ish. There are cubbies near the door. Don't make a rookie mistake: always take your shoes off before stepping on the yoga floor. I was greeted by the instructor, Gillian, which low and behold I had taken a class of hers earlier in 2025! The studio is also heated, and at first I was thinking I'm not going to be able to stand this, but it didn't take long to feel comfortable once I rolled out my yoga mat and got comfy. This event taught me that heated stretching is awesome. I felt so nice after the class. I will definitely check the schedule and try to attend more classes and maybe build some more muscles that I don't get to in Pilates alone. I highly recommend checking out this studio!

But out of all the studios, second side is very social, very hands on all of instructors are so personable, and so helpful! When I tell you that I have not felt this challenged in my practice in a long time, it's a great thing to say! Dana was absolutely outstanding! Her classes are physical, challenging, and playful! I also had a couple classes with Aaron, he was so wonderful. He brought a great sense of spirituality to the practice, which is always necessary. Whenever I'm back in Dallas I cannot wait to return to the studio. The hot classes are hot enough to cleanse and benefit from while still remaining comfortable and healthy. Classes for drop ins are $30. If you are a new student and you want to try it out for a week you can have the entire week of unlimited classes for $30! It just makes sense.

It's a comfortable, informal space. It's also immersive--the familiar incense, heat, and black interior help me focus and put the outside world aside for an hour. Different instructors have their own styles and music but class structure is similar enough to practice across all of them. I love how many classes there are, all day every day, from 6 am to 9 pm or later--even holidays!! And multiple locations. I practice at Dallas Lovers but have gone to classes at the other Dallas studios and in Houston and Round Rock. All are equally comfortable and welcoming. I also appreciate the difficulty level. There's no pressure to do things you can't or don't want to, but there are lots of opportunities to advance. I'd classify myself as intermediate but I like the chance to practice headstands, arm balances, creative binds, etc. even when I'm not very good at them. You never know what you can do until you try!

So with 50 people attending the classes you have to find parking in the other side of the fence which is a bit sketchy, but fine.

The studio has light wood, whites and yellows with yellow bright lights (not annoying bright - soothing bright). The lights and colors all work together to make the room feel soothing. You almost forget that you are there to get your work out on. I was able to book online and arrived a few minutes early to class. I did the traditional reformer Pilates. The thing I liked most about this class is there was a lot of stretching. Stretching before we started, stretching after each muscle group, and stretching at the end. I felt like it was a great work out hitting all the muscle groups and enough stretching to make recovery better. Krissy was the instructor and was a great leader. Cute as a button, but don't let that petite cutie trick you. She was tough. In the best way possible. I recommend checking this place out! I hope to get back in and try some of the other work outs. Never knew this cute studio is right smack dab on lower Greenville. Since the class was at 10 am I found street parking very easily. The yoga instructors were super helpful and didn't make me feel like a newbie (to the studio or to yoga). This special event I attended started with the yoga portion done to 90's music, which is my jam! So much fun. At the end we were treated to a sound bath. I am enjoying those the few times I've done them. I find I can find a deep relaxation during that down time. It's kind of magical. This studio does offer a free intro class which I will book soon. In the meantime I recommend following this studio on IG and looking for their next Fire Flow event. I am happy that I was at their first and it was a success. We were even treated up pizza afterward (from Greenville Ave Pizza Co). I cannot say enough good things about my experience today and hope anyone who reads this goes and checks this place out.
