Within the first week, we were greeted by name when we walked in. We sampled a variety of classes with different instructors, in both the regular studio and the hot studio. We focused on the beginner level and hot stretch classes. The offerings are diverse and impressive. Every instructor is excellent. Modifications are always provided for those that need them. We got our money's worth out of the one-month trial, attending 3-5 times per week. After our trial period, we decided to purchase the 8 sessions per month membership, due to our busy summer schedule. The memberships are month-to-month (no contract) and can be changed or cancelled at any time, so this flexibility is welcomed. I can definitely see us moving to an unlimited membership during the winter months when our calendar slows down. Since making a concerted effort to add yoga to our fitness regimen, we have noticed significant improvement in flexibility and mobility for our recreational activities that include softball and golf. We highly recommend this studio for all levels of ability.

Enjoyed my first yoga class here today and it was a delight!…read more I made a drop-in reservation online ($21, paid in advance of the class) and arrived at the class roughy 5 minutes before the class was set to start. I was aiming to be 10 minutes early (which would have definitely been more ideal) but I'm a disaster in the morning (maybe disaster is a bit harsh but, let's just say--I'm not a morning person). They have mats for you to borrow or you can bring your own. They also have blocks, straps, and blankets. If you go to a class you'll need all of the above. Fortunately, I met a friend there who gave me the lay of the land. I went to their Tosa Yoga Flow class, which is a great class for beginners. I'm 100% a beginner and felt quite comfortable. They also have a gentle yoga flow as well as a mellow flow + restorative, which are both also good for beginners. If you're more advanced, their strong flow class may just be for you! After getting situated with my mat and props, the class began. Our instructor was clear, kind, and inclusive. She provided judgement free alternatives to moves so that you could do what feels comfortable. After the class, they informed me that they have a deal where newbies get one month of unlimited classes for $49! Even better? My $21 that I paid for the drop in could be applied toward the newbie rate. I signed up and am looking forward to trying a variety of classes this month! Highly recommend Tosa Yoga for a lovely, restorative, inclusive yoga experience. Get to it!

So I was relieved when I looked at their class schedule and saw that they rank their classes 1-3 with 1 being the most basic and slow flow yoga. It was perfect! Each month, she writes a monthly newsletter with her ponderings - always insightful and a joy to read - and establishes a monthly theme that each teacher centers their classes around. Whether it's Tuesday or Thursday at 9AM or a Friday night, the studio is full - and for good reason. Each teacher has their own unique approach, but they're all grounded in the true practice of yoga beyond the asana. If you're looking for a space to bring all of yourself, move through fun and fulfilling flows, and have a damn good spiritual experience - look no further. Treat yourself to a ginger cookie after class by the tea pot ;) It's an honor to practice here, and I wish I could bring the energy and teachers with me when I move. I can't wait to come back to Milwaukee to practice here again!

I especially appreciate the competitive pricing compared to other local hot yoga studios and with class packs are even more affordable. Hot yoga classes are geared for all levels of yogis but changing up the instructors/ classes offers a more well balanced yoga practice as each instructor provides a slightly different flow/ experience. There are also more gentle / not heated flows available throughout the week. Signup is easy on their website to reserve your spot in class but more popular classes could fill up! I've found the room is full more often than not. The large space accommodates approximately 40 people and is cleaned between classes. Water and (emergency) pony tail holders are always available, as well as other supplies for purchase (mats, towels, water bottles). Empower also holds different fun contests and events to mix things up and keep it fun in other ways too. The summer contest gives someone a chance to win a trip to their Costa Rican retreat and stickers are given out for class milestones. Outdoor classes by the lake are also offered for the whole family! I've been coming here for about 3 years and hope to keep practicing my yoga here for many more years!

Thoroughly enjoyed my first class today!…read more I booked online super easy through their website. Lots of parking available either on the street or around back in the parking lot, you can access Empower Yoga from both the front and the back entrances, just look for and follow the signs that say Empower. Walking into the studio i was kindly greeted by the class instructor for the slot i booked, i took my first class today with Maisie J and she was so inviting!! Class begun promptly at 9:30am and was led powerfully through a mix of floor and standing work. To give you some insight on me; I have experience with yoga already and am familiar with the vocabulary/ movements. But I'm definitely still learning and currently out of practice. I found the instructors verbal guidance to be very easy to follow, and the curriculum to be challenging enough to make me sweat, but not so hard that i was completely lost. For me, it was the perfect balance of "know how" and learning. This studio offers a variety of classes to attend and hosts multiple instructors, with drop-in classes, subscriptions, workshops, and more. I found the inside of the studio to be really welcoming and homey. The wood flooring IS padded, making everything flow very comfortably throughout class. Quick note for first timers: Bring your own equipment! I feel that it is fairly common at most commercial places that they provide you with your yoga equipment. This studio does offer equipment rental for an extra charge, however it is encouraged that you bring your own mat/towel. -This is what i prefer to do anyway, so bringing my own equipment is no issue for me. But i felt it was important to note for anyone who wasn't aware. I cannot wait to learn more about Empower Yoga, I will definitely be back for more.

The instructor Baobi Noel has a very warm, inviting voice and instantly made me feel comfortable. This yoga session was inside the Pabst brewery and hence all the photos of it. I captured the actual event with my eyes and hence don't have any photos of the sound bath session. Baobi guided us thorough an hour of yin yoga taking us through the different poses, making it very important for us to know that this session is our practice and to take poses as it feels comfortable. That coupled with sound bath maestro- Jordan, this whole session transitions one to a whole new state of mind. The combo of the sounds and vibrations of the quartz bowls, metal bowls and the gongs were in perfect harmony and i was pretty much put into a state of blissful trans and I had a blank mind (which does not happen often). I emerged from this session refreshed, grateful and with peace. Also tried their goat yoga and I absolutely recommend it. I recommend everyone to check out their sound bath class for sure. Can't wait to try their other classes to. ‍

The yoga room isn't heated the way I've seen other Hot Yogas studio heated... this place has this panels that release heat downward and it's great! It's not at all humid, but you still definitely get very warmed muscles and a nice sweat release. The instructor, Greg, was very enjoyable and talked us clearly through the entire 60 minute class. I'd say anyone could take the class regardless of your Yoga experience. We'll be back soon! ‍ Oh PS, bring your own yoga mat. I forgot mine, in which you can rent one of theirs, but just a heads up!
