Bao, the owner, is super nice and always accommodating if I have to change my appointment time and date occasionally. He has also done my pedicure several times - great job! My regular nail tech is Calista and she is great! She does a wonderful job (gently!!! So important to me after having been to other salons and suffering abrasions on my feet from rough treatment!!). My pedi always lasts at least a month and always looks amazing.

We got our pedicures, and I went over to get gel X for my hands. The lady that will do my nails comes over and looks at my hand, LAUGHED and says you pick at your nails huh? Mind you, I had physics and biochemistry exams in the past week that made me very anxious, and unfortunately I ended up picking at my skin. Then she sits down and asks me the color that I want, and I tell her exactly the one I picked out with the exact number, and she scoffs and tells me that we have so many of those, and I was like, okay, and showed her the exact one. Then she asked me what shape, and I showed her a picture and described it, and she laughed again; she mumbled under her breath and laughed. Then I showed her another photo of what I wanted, and she laughed yet again and started doing my nails. Genuinely, I was in shock; I started tearing up because what in the world prompts you to laugh in your customer's face multiple times. Then I ask her to make my nails a little bit shorter because they were too long, yet again, she scoffed in my face and then proceeded to make them shorter. Then, after my nails were almost done and she was putting on the final top coat, my mom came over and showed me her nails (we got the same color), and the lady asked her to see it, and again SHE LAUGHED in front of my mother and me. Then my mom left, and the lady told me that she thinks it doesn't look good, like, okay??? Then, after she was done with my nails, I went to look at them, and EVERY SINGLE NAIL is a different size compared to my other hand. At this point, I did not want to interact with this lady anymore because she was so incredibly rude to both my mother and me for no reason. One thing that Lotus Nails should take from this, especially the lady who did our nails, is to be kind to one another; you never know what's going on in someone's life, you don't know what someone is going through, and a fun day spent with my mom turned really grey because of your employee. Please do better, I am very disappointed. You should never make a customer feel bad about anything they ask for when they are paying $150+ for services and being nice. I only hope that, in the future, this lady learns to be nicer to the people around her and learns and grows to be a better person. Unfortunately, I will not be coming back to a place that made me and my mom feel so unwelcome!

When I walked in, there was only one woman (assuming the owner) who was working on 1 woman. There was nobody else waiting in the place either. She asked me what she could help me with, and I asked her for a pedicure and gel mani in which she automatically responded "Oh sorry, I'm all booked today. I take appointments only." Which is totally fine if you only take appointments since you are the only one running the place, but when everyone is in hurricane panic mode and the town is getting vacated, wouldn't you think she would grab at the opportunity to make an extra $50-60, especially if you are the owner yourself. Who knows maybe she was booked, but the right thing to do would be to ask if I would like to come back at another convenient time because I'm sure she likely wasn't busy all day. Anyways, I didn't put up an argument and just walked out the door and gave my business to someone else. Their loss, won't be coming back that's for sure.
