Best yoga studio I've ever been to, hands down. Tons of great instructors and amazing classes for advanced levels.

I went to Yoga Journey during my pregnancy for 3-4 months (second to third trimester)…read more Prenatal classes were super special part of my week as I got to connect with other pregnant women in a safe place. The teacher, Shea, is truly gifted. She welcomes everyone and listens to everyone. The sequence was challenging our bodies in a needed way. Obviously everyone's pregnancy and postpartum experience is different but I personally think coming to this place 1-2 a week consistently for 12+ weeks truly made my post partum experience better. I had an emergency c section but I was able to connect to my core 4-5 days post operation. Meaning I was able to hold the baby and get up from the bed without needing help very early on. I highly suggest the studio to anyone starting out new or advanced! They also have visual class options. Would like to add the cold towels soaked in essential oils they provide at the end of the classes are my favorite part!

If you need a place to go to for all levels this is it, they take their time they show you the proper forms and you can tell you're in a special place. If you want that type of environment and you want to be taken care of by the people there who care about you this is the one.

I finally found a yoga studio that I can get behind. I have tried for years to see what the…read morelululemon mafia was all fussed about when it came to Yoga. In my mind, if I am not blowing through 100 calories per hour, I am just not sure its worth my time. People raved about flexibility etc, but I just could not really feel any difference. Then, my friend introduced me to Keshava a few months ago and I really loved it and finally got it! To those who have said that this is not what they expected of 'classic' yoga and want to do sun salutations ad nauseum, then yeah this is definitely not it. Whats working for me: 1- This is actually hard... not like the typical 'stretching' yoga class or the dehydration inducing Bikram. I really loved how we held poses for a long time. I feel my muscle working and struggling the whole time. It is strangely relaxing to just breathe through the discomfort and recognize your body getting stronger. It may also feel harder since they actually adjust you into the right position for the best impact and stretch. No more cheating! 2- There is a strong focus on meditation... if I am not going to be blazing calories, I had better at least leave relaxed, at peace, mentally cleansed. Many classes I've tried while doing a thousand down dogs and salutations never left me feeling this good. Keshava's voice is crazy relaxing. I'm slightly addicted. 3- The price... $15 for 90 minutes! Sign me up! They also offer package deals for an even lower price 4- No two classes are alike... I learned so many new poses in one of these that I had never gotten in the various failed attempts I've made to like yoga previously. I love how I am pushed. Keshava's style is to be serious about yoga but to not take yourself too seriously. He is lighthearted and I love how just when you're at the moment of breaking a pose, he cracks a joke that makes you smile through the pain. If you take yourself too seriously, this may not be for you.

I bought a Groupon for 5 yoga classes (only $20!) and recently attended my first class, a 90 minute…read moresession. The space is nice, the music playing in the background is peaceful and well-timed, and the instructors have a great sense of humor. If you're someone who hasn't done yoga in a while, be prepared for an intense session. You'll be asked to breathe deeply and push yourself in maintaining the poses. The instructor tended to break tension by making jokes which helped a lot; I found myself laughing as much as breathing deeply at times. What I loved about the session was that there was a lot of breathing and meditation integrated into the practice. It wasn't just about the poses; as the instructor said, "I want you to smile in the midst of all the pressure, because that's what you'll be asked to do in life." I agree with other Yelpers who noted that it won't matter if you're a beginner since the instructor goes around adjusting your posture. As the classes are kept small, it never feels too crowded and the instructor is always very attentive. I also never felt self-conscious. Your muscles will be sore the next day, but it's well worth it. At the end of my session, laying down finally was bliss, and I felt like I had earned it. You'll leave feeling like a warrior, simultaneously rejuvenated and calm. The green tea (already hot and made to go) is such a nice touch at the end of the class too. I am looking forward to going back!

In a world of egregious cancellation fees, it's so so nice to be treated like a human being…read more I missed a workshop I had been looking forward to all month. Fast forward to the day of, I completely didn't remember until the class was just ending. The thought of the relaxing, aerial sound bath helped me survive November, I swear. Embarrassed, I emailed the studio. The studio manager didn't even take ten minutes to get back to me and their response was so gracious. I really appreciated being taking care of. And for the anxious girlies, it was the perfect welcome. It lets me know I can try new things here and enjoy the process, without feeling self conscious.

I absolutely loved going to this studio for years but then had a really bad experience in Hot…read morePilates Teacher Training. It was falsely advertised as mat Pilates when in reality it was a HIIT style of Pilates, the program was mediocre. The lead instructor, April shows up on the first night of training and says she could not demonstrate poses and proceeds to show us videos for an entire weekend. No assistant teacher to help her. What's worse is that she couldn't even notify us beforehand. What followed was a huge disappointment. Let me explain. I have done many teacher trainings and in all of them there is a lot of emphasis on the actual postures and their modifications, how to cue the shapes, and the actual anatomy of said topic. This never happened. Instead the we talked about music and counts and beats. Which to me doesn't make sense for a Pilates teacher training... The worst part is that the less instructor, April was cold and rude in her delivery of feedback. Instead of sitting with me to provide feedback, she sent me a book long thread of feedback via text message. When I decided to give her my feedback about my bad experience in teacher training, the lead instructor April Clendelin threatened me to "be careful" and then retaliated by removing my access to provided materials and just started to act like a bully. My feedback was never meant to attack her but it was meant to create awareness over the unfairness of everything that went down. They took away the opportunity for students to coteach in the studio because people complained but we never got taught how to cue or Pilates anatomy... I never meant to offend the lead instructor but I believe she deserved accountability. If we weren't ready to teach it's because our program lacked a lot of the resources that create success in new teachers. I tried to talk to the owner Máxine to which she told me that sometimes people have to look the other way so basically she was going to let April keep bullying me, all because I spoke up for myself and disagreed with her style of teaching. The only thing I actually wanted was to have the mentorship we were promised. And I badly wanted that for the other girls in the program. It very much felt like they were trying to silence me so they can keep running this below average program. After expressing unfairness in multiple ways, eventually I cancelled my unlimited and I sent a message to the girls in teacher training really encouraging them to advocate for themselves. I wanted to expose the unfairness of the situation. I wanted them to know that in life sometimes uncomfortable conversations are better than looking the other way. You see some of them were feeling like me. I got banned from the studio which like I said I had already cancelled my monthly plan. I don't want to go somewhere that says they are all about love but really they are all about money. They bullied me and retaliated after I provided feedback. And sure the owner gave me my money back for the training but then didn't explain what that meant about my certification or anything. I'm a movement coach, registered yoga teacher, and certified health coach... If you're thinking about investing in Pilates Teacher Training at this studio, DON'T. And if you're thinking about working here, wouldn't recommend. I use to sub there and stopped because I knew right away I didn't want to work for Max. She was cold in the delivery of her feedback and very much cares about the success of her studio than the success of her teachers and students. After being treated the way I was, I was happy to gtfo. Bye

They even have hammocks where you can relax before or after class. They offer lots of slower-paced and meditative classes, which is definitely more my style. The studio itself is really cool, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. My only complaint is that they charge $5 if you forget your mat and need to borrow one. Almost every other studio I've been to lets you borrow a mat for free, so I found that a little off putting. Other than that, it's a great place with a really nice atmosphere!

I've been so excited to check this place out given the reviews. But I have never had a worse…read moreexperience somewhere. I really feel like I have to share this I booked an 8:15am Vinyasa class in what I thought would be a refreshing, fun new experience. I arrived early to a pretty big parking lot for a standalone business. Parked in a corner spot along the left wall. I parked at the same time as a girl who said hi to me as we both got out of our cars. She ended up being the instructor. The studio was big inside. However, I noticed it was heated. It didn't specify this in the class description. It just said "Vinyasa". I would have liked to know though so I could mentally prepare better, but I'll live. Out of everything else that happened here, I'll take this 100 times. So I set up in the back. I had an older lady next to me. Couldn't hear majority of the class due to the music being so loud/being in the back. So I felt a little clueless at times. It also smelled so bad, like feet & sweat and straight up uncleanliness. 15 minutes til the end of class, I start to get tired. I'm catching my breath & taking a break (as I wasn't really prepared for a hot yoga class anyway). I had my phone on the lowest possible brightness you could have it, I checked it for maybe 20 seconds. When all of the sudden the older lady next to me rudely snaps at me saying, "you know there's no phones allowed here. right?". I said to her, I have kids. She rolled her eyes at me. So I told her to mind her business. Because what? I have so many questions. I couldn't chill at the end when we did Savasana. I ended up leaving at 9:13. Only to come out to the parking lot & I'm completely blocked in. & my phone screen conveniently & randomly froze during this time. So I wasn't able to get a picture of it. The one girl behind me left. But I still couldn't fully reverse; there was another car next to her that needed to move for me to leave. It's 9:22am at this point, class ended 7 mins ago. I thankfully allotted time for me to afford a little runoff, but I still didn't want to sit there not knowing when I'd be able to leave. So I finally saw the owner walking towards her car, she unlocks it, sees that she's blocking me in, sees I'm in reverse. Waiting, patiently. I'm not being rude or rushing, just waiting. & then she suddenly just closes her door, locks it, & starts walking back to the studio. So I open my car door, & yell "hey can you please move your car?" and she says "yeah I just have to get something inside". Not concerned, no sense of urgency. But she comes back. I don't have music on so I can hear everything. & I hear her say out loud "why the f*** did you park there". Oh? Wow. So I opened my door & I said "It's my first time at this studio, sorry". Like? Seriously wow. And there's no sign, nothing that blocks that spot off. Not the instructor - who parked next to me & at the same time as me - let me know, 'hey don't park there'. Nobody and nothing alluded to me not parking in that spot. Yet I was still blocked in & cursed at. I also want to mention that even with the amount of people & cars in this lot, there was still room to make another row/fit the 2 cars that were behind me blocking me in, in the middle of the lot. It was just completely unnecessary. But not once was I rude about it or disrespectful. Yet I was met with nasty, disrespectful & quite the opposite behavior that I'd expect from people just coming out of a supposedly "reputable" yoga studio & class. I booked this class to feel better about things going on in my life & honestly I felt better before I took the class. I regret coming. It set my day off to a horrible start & the only positive out of this is knowing now that I don't have to ever come back. 0 stars if I could & please treat people with kindness. First & last class here.
