So teachers are great and super friendly prices are super for Sun Francisco I got 90 minutes great yoga class for 20$ plus water and yoga mat it cost like 26$! compared with other yoga studios where you paying 40$ plus yoga mat and towel so was happy with everything! It just opened so I imagine more will be added to the schedule but right now week days have either Bikram 90 minutes or the 60 minute series. Both are wonderful and the 60 minute series moves along at brisk pace so it really feels close to the intensity of the 90 minute. The studio is immaculate; it has two showers with lovely touches--like natural shampoos and soaps; the owner has put a lot of thought into the decor and created a lovely, almost spa-like atmosphere mingled with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere.  Mats can be rented and one can buy electrolytes on-site.  I am thrilled this studio has opened. It is my new home for hot yoga.  The owner is very respectful, clearly highly organized, and kind and down-to-earth in his manners. The price for auto-monthly is competitive, fair, and worth it (if you go at least twice a week).  Jennifer is amazing as a teacher and one morning took the time to snap photos of my floor series with her I-phone so I would not be tempted to turn my head to see where my spine bends were at (a detail of one her photos is below) --she is a beautiful and inspiring teacher. There is a lovely manicure and pedicure place just around the corner too...and a darling French coffee and chocolate shop--not to mention all the other culinary virtues (and character) of North Beach.

I wanted to seek extra help with muscle therapy/recovery due to suffering from lumbar radiculopathy and sciatica for the past few months. I wasn't seeing the best results from the exercises that my physical therapist told me to do so I decided to go see Melissa. At this point my back muscles were so tight and tense that you could feel it by just poking it. :( I had a session where she used cupping, massage guns and deep tissue massage techniques. I also had a 1:1 session where she went through and showed me different exercises that helped with my muscles that were weak and inactive (for me it was my core and glutes). After the massage session, my muscles felt relieved and some of the pain I was feeling in my back and leg was noticeably better. Combining my physical therapy exercises and the stretches + muscle strengthening exercises from Melissa, I have seen a notable difference in my core strength and glute muscles (I'm not shaking from just doing 10 second planks anymore!!) I would definitely recommend Melissa to anyone who needs a good deep tissue sports massage or help with becoming stronger and strengthening your muscles. Thank you again Melissa!! :)

Such a disappointing replacement for Yoga Tree…read more -They charge way more for way less. ---they offer way fewer classes per day than Yoga Tree ---the classes are so spread apart that I can no longer take back to back classes. Used to love doing a vinyasa and then a slow flow/yoga nidra. --All of the classes are shorter than the 85 minutes that Yoga Tree offered. Gone are the days where you get to have an amazing breath work session and warm up, and still have time for an intense yoga workout with a nice savasana. I can honestly say that the way Haum works is not as beneficial to my body and mind. --There Are only two locations available where as Yoga Tree had a handful. So it makes me need class pass, which I majorly dislike, because I need to use other studios to make up for the lack of classes at Haum. i prefer just to buy unlimited memberships. But the pandemic ruined Yoga Tree and now all these rip off places have popped up and none of them are of anywhere near the quality of Yoga Tree and all of them expect you to pay way more for way less. It's really depressing because yoga changed my life and using class pass makes booking on the fly like I need a hassle. I would happily pay $200 a month if Haum wasnt offering soooo few classes for that price. It's ridiculous. Can barely get Hatha anymore. It's so much more helpful than vinyasa in certain ways. They both have a role but Haum now only offers one really short Hatha class. They have been open for quite awhile now and still have such a small schedule.

It's not "hot yoga", but he has heaters that keep the classes at a nice toasty warm temperature. Recently I've been going to the yoga wall classes. This is a unique experience. I love the feeling of inversions, and this provides a good outlet for that. Yoga poses are done against the wall, against gravity. I think I'm decent at yoga, but the classes kick my butt. It's challenging completely different muscle groups and requires a different type of strength. The classes are very diverse and inclusive. Forget any stereotypes of the typical waifish woman. In class, there's all ages, genders, body types. Particularly for the yoga wall class, I've been impressed by how there is an older/senior demographic, but I realize that everybody gets something different out of the the yoga wall classes. While I'm looking for a core-strengthening challenge, others are looking for a yoga class that takes pressure off their spines, relieve back pain, etc. On nice days, he may occasionally have his vinyasa flow class outside. (He will have updates on his Instagram/Facebook if that is the case.) My favorite routine is to go to his class on Saturday morning, and then get a bite to eat afterwards at Cafe Alma a block away. I really enjoyed the instructors' styles as well. I've attended maybe three or more Yin classes here with different instructors and while they've been pretty good, none come close to my first yin class here at the Heartbeat Collective. Still, some of the playlists have been pretty good (albeit a tad bit loud for my taste one or two times). The power vinyasa class is challenging, but worth it. Give it a try! Don't be thrown off that the studio is essentially a former church. It's a beautiful space with hardwood floors and props that are fairly new. I think yoga mats may be free to use as well.
