I tried to keep up with Yoga Hell Bk, but unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. The facility is clean enough, but that's about the only positive I can give. The overall management and customer service here could be better... The front desk staff are often rude, unprofessional, and more focused on their phones and Instagram than helping customers. It is also always a different person, so you can see this is a mess. But the real problem lies with the hot pilates classes and instructors. It's clear many of them are not properly qualified or trained... The classes feel overcrowded, to the point that you're uncomfortably close to other students - I shouldn't be able to smell someone else's body odor during a workout, right?! The instructors also seem more concerned with their own performance than providing a good experience for students. They bark orders without any regard for form or safety. I left many classes feeling frustrated and sore in all the wrong ways... Needless to say, I won't be returning :) There are so many other great fitness studios in Brooklyn, I can't recommend wasting your time or money here. TLDR: Great for hot yoga, but don't bother with the pilates class if you are looking for something high impact. Make sure to come in AT LEAST 15 minutes early to secure a spot. I think this place would be great for Bikram Yoga during off-peak hours, but I came here for the Inferno Hot Pilates class and the experience was very anti-climatic. The class started 15 minutes late and was overbooked to the point that mats had to be touching. The main reason I will not be returning to this studio is because of its poor management. A class should never be overbooked and those who reserve the class beforehand should have priority over drop-ins. However, this place lets anyone in and once no more mats can fit inside, they will turn people away regardless of if they had already booked and paid. Some people even walked in without checking in at the front desk so the instructor could not keep an accurate count. This was such a problem that at the beginning of the class, she had to make an announcement regarding checking in first. The Inferno Hot Pilates class was low impact in my opinion. All exercises included: hip dips, bicycles, squats, mountain climbers, crunches, planks...That's literally it. The first 10 minutes was 5 sets of hip dips...You can imagine how the rest of the class went. The good thing about this place is that people here are generally nice (although there are some posses here as well, but that's to be expected). I stayed inside the studio for a few minutes after the class ended to do some bikram stretches. Other people that also stayed saw me and gave me tips for better posture which I really appreciate as I am always trying to improve. Other side notes: There are no lockers. You are expected to put your belongings on an open rack. Phones are not allowed inside the studio. There are showers. This place is pet-friendly. Bring your own mat, towel, and water! read more

I'm quick to write a terrible review as we usually take good experiences for granted. I need to tell everyone about this little gem I was turned on to. This studio is fabulous! I literally walked out of other studios two seconds after entering cause it smelt like sour socks. Here it's kept super clean as I'm a stickler for cleanliness and somewhat of a germaphobe. Zero problems with that here. The trainers are top shelf and simply amazing. They keep you moving and motivated and coming back for more. The workouts are challenging but don't kill you and put you out of commission for days, it is possible to do everyday. I know cause I've done them for over 30 days straight and feel great! I've done every workout from lifting 100 pound dumbbells to kickboxing to Jujitsu and have never lost weight like I've done here. Lost 13+ pounds already, the weight is literally melting off at a catastrophic rate. I look forward to every class as they incorporate techniques such as: Breathing exercises, meditation, pleasant imagery, yoga, Pilates, cardio, lighting, temperature control and more to get your body moving and into a fat and calorie burning cauldron. I'll just summarize everything. The Good - Excellent facilities, everything seems clean, new and well taken care of, including the building. - Staff and instructors are professional, helpful and friendly. - Prices are very competitive, plus some amazing intro deals. - Extensive calendar of classes with good variety of offerings. - The Yoga room is large and well equipped with a modern HVAC system and huge windows/screen doors on either side. The Bad - Classes can get packed pretty tight, come in at least 15-20 min early. - Parking in the area could be a bit of a challenge but manageable. Again, come in a bit early and it will be fine. - Almost every class, a bunch of people will show up late which results in all manner of reshuffling and squeezing in. My only suggestion is please be stricter with late attendance and close the door as soon as class begins. I understand that you're trying to accommodate everyone, but the resulting re-positioning is very disruptive for the rest of the attendees who managed to show up on time, are in the middle of a class, and are suddenly being asked to move. Overall, Yogahell is a great option for a variety of Yoga and Pilates classes, featuring excellent staff, atmosphere and facilities. Give them a try. read more

This is an awesome place to workout. The studio is clean, everyone is friendly and I don't feel intimidated by any challenges, in fact, I feel motivated! The variety of classes are awesome. The Hot Pilates has such cool beats, the instructor hands out power bracelets for motivation and pushes you gently into your next physical challenge. You have no right to treat your client the way you did. You run a business not a middle school mean girls club. We came 2 minutes late to an overly packed class (which 4 other students came even later than we did) where we didn't even have anywhere to sit, everyone was on top of each other. You shouldn't overbook classes to a point where my mat was on top of someone else's mat. You were having a bad day and just took it out on us. After the class multiple people came up to us and said how ridiculously rude you are but that they liked the workout, me on the other hand I won't tolerate your nasty attitude. read more

I got special promo from my friend to try all classes. Front desk was very friendly, answered all questions ( on the phone first, than personally).. so I decided to give a shot. Place seems clean, and I said, why not? Class was very boring. Not hard, but boring. Plus I understand it supposed to be " hot " yoga( or Pilates) but instead it was extremely dry air. I have to leave room for few times, to breath. When I left, my nose was absolutely dry and I feel extremely disappointed and discomfort of it bothers me till the end of the day. Ironic that this studio is called Yoga Hell. TLDR: The instructor disregarded my personal wellbeing by taking away my water and publicly humiliated me without knowing my medical history. Prior to class, the instructor, Adil, informed me that Ashtanga yoga is most effective when you don't drink water during practice, but if necessary, do bring it in. I chose to bring my water bottle. Upon entering the room, I discovered it was heated (Ashtanga emphasizes heat from within, so it typically the room isn't heated). Prior to starting, he emphasized again that drinking water was a distraction. Midway into the class, I stopped to rest and took a sip of water. Seeing this, he then proceeded to stop the whole class to wait for me to finish drinking water, again citing that it was distracting. Essentially shaming me. ( It would've been less disruptive had he not brought attention and singled me out). Again, I took another sip later on. He proceeded to walk by me, told me to "take a break" in a very demeaning tone, and then TOOK my water bottle. Had I known this class was heated ahead of time, I would not have attended as I have had medical issues that have caused me to faint in the past. Now, let's exacerbate that by denying me water! I should not have to explicitly explain my health concerns to ensure my personal belongings and the right to water is not taken away without my permission. You have already informed me once what best practice is. That should've been the end of it. Do not enforce it if I have clearly taken this decision under my own discretion. The receptionist gave me an insincere apology. Paraphrasing: "I'm sorry he made you feel this way. He's had a lot of training and is very strict. He's almost made me cry in the first session too". I never tried Hot yoga or Pilates before i was worried that it could be a little too much for me or i wouldn't like it.everyone who works there made me super comfortable from the first step. Whole building is new studio as well but i'm sure it will be one of the best and popular studios very very soon. Now about classes Classes aren't easy for beginners (like me) but even for the second class i felt i was doing better and believe me it gives you motivation to do more to do better. Nobody's looking at you and you don't really have time to look around trainers keep u concentrated on You which is very important if you wanna achieve whatever goal you have while coming to studio. Trainers always motivate you but NOT push you to do everything at first. They take into consideration your health issues (if u have) and they always remember you which is really nice cause i'm sure they're meeting a lot of people every day. This studio is 100/100 clean. And people you're working out with are so so nice! And believe me that's very important as well as far as you're meeting them at least several times a week. Unfortunately I can't give this place more than 3 stars. Their amenities are not very complete, the mats available for rental are so thin it's like it's not even there, has no support, and mat towels are also so thin and offers no grip even with water sprayed on it. The typical yoga studios I go to will provide manduka or jade mats with mat towels and shower towels. This studio is definitely lacking. It has a nice view and the instructors are well rehearsed in yoga but the classes and level of heat do not do the name justice. When I heard the name yoga hell, I was expecting a yoga class that would be like hell difficult and hell hot. Instead it was just a lukewarm room temperature like room that we practiced yoga in. They also have an Introductory Package which is $99 for 3 months unlimited classes which is what I purchased my first day there. They do have showers as well and the place itself is cozy and cute. I love this place! First, the people at the desk are extremely friendly. My first time coming was on Valentine's Day, early in the morning. After the hot yoga class they had chocolate covered strawberries for everyone. I thought that was really sweet. Now, I go almost every day. You get a great workout. During the sessions the instructors walk around the room and help you if you need help. I do a lot of the inferno hot Pilates and the instructors keep you motivated the entire time. I've been to this studio a couple of times and I love katia's classes! She is amazing, very motivating and she will make you sweat! I love their 60 minutes hot yoga and the hot Pilates. I don't recommend it. I visited just to find out the terms and the hours. A man with very long hair was on his smart phone near what seemed like the front desk. (The only reason why I'm bringing up his hair is because I have no other defining characteristic of this associate) Before I could ask him a question, he rudely told me to step off the carpet and take off my shoes. I attempted to tell him again that I'm only here to find out about the classes. He interrupted me again and motioned with his hand to step off the carpet and take off my shoes. SERIOUSLY?! I have never seen a place like this where everyone is extremely friendly, the class can be full but if you come in they will find a place for you!
