Not only is the location convenient and the service EXCELLENT, but more importantly they are quick, precise, painless and inexpensive. I just had my eyebrows and upper lip threaded by Saleema who was incredibly friendly and a master shaper. I experienced little to no pain on my eyebrows and NONE on my upper lip which was amazing as this was my first time threading my upper lip. I am now a lifer. I will never attempt to work on my eyebrows let alone my upper lip when this place exists. $10 for eyebrows and $7 for upper lip. I've been threading my eyebrows for close to 10 years, and I've seen my fair share of mishaps when I try new salons - this being one of them. I specifically asked for the woman to CLEAN up my eyebrows. Not work on the arch or even them out (I have an amazing woman who does that for me, but I was in urgent need for a quick sprucing). The woman told me that I needed some cleaning and shaping when she was on the top part of my eyebrow, and I thought 'Why not, she can't do much damage there'. She stopped during the process to talk to me about my shape and asked me how I liked it. I am officially a regular. SN: I didn't need an appointment - walked in during my lunch hour and only had to wait for her to finish one person. Street parking avail within a block of the salon (around the corner on 24th St). The convenience and turnaround time of this place alone makes it well worth it. You typically do not need an appointment, but call ahead if you need to be in and out. I have gone a few times the last three months, and my eyebrows always looks great for weeks afterwards. A rotating set of ladies work different days, I have tried a few because I´m not so good at keeping a strict schedule... but the good news is out of that, all have been good! Pricing is super reasonable and the constant stream of women means they must be doing something right! Threading is way better than waxing for me, I react strongly to any hair removal... but there is no danger of burning or allergic reaction with threading. Within 30 minutes I am good to go. If you are on your way to a dinner or meeting, make sure to bring a littl make up to cover the redness. I have not had problems with shaping or instructions being ignored and the women have helped to thicken and grow out my eyebrows. Terrible customer service. I have never been treated so poorly as a customer in my life. I can not say enough, do not go here. I arrived to have my eye brows threaded and was told there was a 10-15 min wait, I signed in and waited. After 30 mins, I told the receptionist I needed to refill my parking meter. When I came back a girl that had come in after me started to say she was next (there was about 7 girls all waiting with only 1 threader staffed). When I told her I was actually before her, she started to swear and call me names. I asked the receptionist where I was on the list and she said the girl was first, at which point I backed down and let her go. The entire time the other customer threatened me, continued to call me names and was downright rude. The receptionist did not ask her to leave, and would not point out where she was on the sign up list. After she left and I was having my threading done, another customer asked if she was next (it was very unorganized in my option as they did not call out who was next or cross names off the list) and the receptionist admitted that the rude girl who called me names and swore at me was indeed AFTER ME, not before me on the list. The next girl in line was appalled and even said she could not believe what had just happened and that the receptionist would let a customer talk to another customer like that. I told the receptionist that I had never been treated like this and it was unacceptable. I honestly would have walked out, but I had been waiting at this point for over an hour. All she said was "sorry, I'm new." Turns out she is the owners daughter. I will never go back. I did call and attempt to speak to the manager the following Monday, she was not in. I did speak with the manager of the other location who apologized and said she would have the owner call me, which never happened. The threading they do is okay, not the best in my opinion and not worth the lack of organization, wait time, and terrible customer service. read more

I go here for eyebrow threading. The last time I went I had Barbie, who did a great job. She really did a great job of chatting with me beforehand to see what I was looking for, and checked with me throughout the threading to make sure I liked the direction in which she was going. Will definitely go back for that. There's some room for improvement in the front of house experience, however. The receptionist seemed more interested in making sure the right music was on, and chatting with other stylists, instead of actually making sure people were being taken in the right order. read more

Absolutely awful customer service. Been coming here to get my eyebrows threaded and never had a problem. But today was a completely different story. I call at 4pm asking if they have a mani/pedi appt. I'm given some story about the manicurist being gone but that they would call me right back letting me know if she had any availability. I get a call back in 5 minutes and am told to come at 4:45 p.m. and I would be attended. I walk in at 4:40 p.m. and the manicurist arrives at 5:30 p.m. She then proceeds to tell me that she has a 6pm appt. and won't be able to accommodate me. Both the threaders that were there saw me waiting for almost an hour and never bothered to call the manicurist. If there's one thing that cheeses my noodle is when people waste my time and do nothing to make up for it. I wasn't offered another appointment or anything, just sent away with an "oops, sorry." Absolutely unacceptable. NEVER coming back here again for any type of service and telling everyone I know to steer clear. After giving them my business for months, the last thing I expected was to be treated with such blatant disrespect. read more

I use to Love this place when Nicky worked there. Now I'm afraid to go because a former employee completely ruined my natural eyebrow shape by removing too much from the top and now it is taking forever to grow and I'm afraid my eyebrows will not look the same because an esthetician told me sometimes it just won't grow back if they ruined your natural shape. I hope Nicky comes back one day because she did an amazing job after I plucked too many hairs from the bottom which is not as bad as removing from the top (like the former employee did to mine) and I made them thin looking. Worst experience as a first time customer. Eyebrows uneven. Then I ask to tint them, and usually when I ask for a tint it lasts about two weeks. She tints my eyebrows and when she wipes it off nothing stays and it makes my brows look dirty and outside my eyebrow line. So I tell her to leave them alone before she messes them up even more. I go to pay to the lady in the front (which I'm sure was the owner) as I'm telling her the "tinting" didn't do anything she says to the girl that did my eyebrows "I don't understand what she's saying, what service did you do to her" in which I replied in Spanish because she clearly didn't understand my English and explained to her in Spanish what she did to my eyebrows. She responded by simply saying "you had threading and tinting so it's $25. You have to pay regardless". What a great experience and customer service. This place seems to be under new management or new ownership. Called to ask pricing for a gel mani and toe polish change, the girl answering the phone said 26$ and 8$ respectively, so I went ahead and schedule my appointment. When I'm about to pay she increases the polish change to 12$. When I asked why her answer is because "that's how much it is for toes and you asked me for hands" I politely reply that it wasn't the case, but she kept repeating herself. I win nothing by lying and have no problem paying 4 more dollars. However, she should own up to her mistake and honor whatever the price agreed was. This is a difficult review. I love this place but NEVER GO WHEN THEY OPEN. They arrive on time, the hair threading tech arrived late (5 minutes, acceptable for Miami standards). And then she starts to clean the floor (WITH 3 CLIENTS WAITING TO GET EYEBROWS DONE). REALLY? And I'm not mad at her because poor girl is doing her job and probably gets yelled at by her boss for not cleaning in the morning, but let's have some logistic thinking here people! My usual threader who works out of her home has been really busy so I was left with no choice but to find another one in Miami. It's really crazy to think there's not many people doing it down here. Since my first disappointing visit I decided to give them another try cause I was looking like Bert and I was actually very pleased! I used to get threading done when I was in college and didn't have real bills, I didn't think I would be able to incorporate this luxury back into my lifestyle, until I found Yodi. For $10 I can have the best eyebrows of my life! Very effective and lasts about 3 weeks. I have been going for about 3 months now and it's slowed down my hair growth and thinned out my in growing hairs (none of those thick hairs growing in that you can never get with tweezers). Best part is, I have barely needed to touch my eyebrows on my own (I've plucked out the occasional stray that is just too long). So for about $13 a month (+ tip) you can ignore your eyebrows and concentrate on other beauty regiments. Yes, please! I have gone to all 3 technicians and have to say I like them all, but whoever you pick, stick with the same lady. Similarly to going to different hair stylist, they all have their own technique and vision. Tip is cash only. Parking is available (a bit tight, but free) and ask for the loyalty card. Oh, if you've never done it before, it's a bit painful at first. If you wear contacts, I would recommend wearing glasses, as you are pulling around your eye area and might agitate your contacts. read more

I can't imagine it getting better anywhere else - my eyebrows look tight! $10 is an awesome price, I've never had to make an appointment or wait, their hours are late enough for me to go after work. They only thing that sucks, is the parking. There are meters but if you're willing to walk a half a block more you can park in residential for free both down 24th and 25th streets. The lady that has done my eyebrows twice now - Nikki I think - told me the first time, "your eyebrows are mine now, come back in 2 1/2 weeks." This place popped up, and I've been hooked since! Small place, same young lady at the front desk, very kind, knows you if your there once or twice a month. Small pedi-mani station in the corner of the place, roommate got a pedi, said it was phenomenal! Three or four chairs, each employee of course has their usual clients so your wait time can vary. Parking is the only downfall to this place, it can be very hard to find, as I always worry my car will get towed, but so far so good! Get the eyebrow cards! 6 or 7 sessions and the last on is free! I WAS a customer here for the last year, and I was a religious customer to Barbie. I was so sad to hear when she left a few months ago. The weird thing is when I first called to see if she was in, I was told she was on "vacation". I think they did this in hopes to get me to come in anyways. I waited a few weeks, called back, and was told she left the company "months ago" . I should have taken that as a red flag. I went 3 more times and had 3 different girls each time and they were all awful. They all threaded incredibly SLOWLY which makes it so painful . Each girl I got was new because I did not recognize them during prior visits. I could feel every single hair being pulled out of my face & couldn't believe how awful it was. The last straw was this past Saturday when I got the blond girl . Before I sat down, I specifically told her I wanted my eyebrows cleaned up and I HATE the thin look. She not only threaded them very thin, but uneven! When I pointed it out, she immediately went to make the other one thinner!! I stopped her & said I would rather let it grow out and mentioned that I told her I liked to keep my eyebrows THICKER, so here I am walking around with lopsided , thin eyebrows. I've also gotten my nails done here twice in the entire year I was a customer to Barbie , that should tell you something. Service is very slow, and the girls just talk to each other the entire time while holding the nail polish in the air. It's also not the best quality , and the nails never turned out how I liked them to. This is a huge PASS on all levels.
