Uh oh, this was going to be a problem because we were in the process of replacing a roof and all our money was going towards that. We called a couple A/C companies (including one who didn't call us back for three days) and the first to respond was A/C Repairs. They set up a visit for the following day. A/C Repairs arrived promptly at the time they said they were going to visit. They cleaned out our AC Line, inserted a small mechanism into the unit so that if it ever started to leak again it would automatically shut off and adjusted the line to the outside so that it would drain better. When they came to me with a bill of a little over a hundred dollars I jumped for joy. This sure beat a new unit. When it comes time to service (or more likely replace) our unit again, A/C Repairs will be the first company we call.

The Pasco County inspector even commented about how nice the job had been done. During a storm on Sunday, the main circuit breaker tripped off, and had to be reset. The air conditioning stayed off-line, so I called A/C Repairs, thinking I would leave a voice mail requesting service. I was surprised when the owner answered. He promised to be here by noon on Monday. They showed up at 9:30 am, and quickly found a damaged circuit breaker that feeds the air conditioner. They replaced the C/B, and the air conditioning worked. It was obviously not their fault, but rather one of those random events probably caused by an electrical surge, or something. When I offered to pay, I was surprised the owner said he wouldn't charge me. So if doing business with a small business with integrity appeals to you, give them a call.

I went elsewhere to another company who in 10 min had my AC blowing normally. So fast forward to today a "reputable" local company came out after my unit stopped working, compressor in unit shot (only 4 years old). The tech suggested the compressor should have a 5yr warranty and that I should call "AC by Speedy" to inquire on warranty. I tried several times to call him back ...., he won't answer or return my call. SHADY SHADY SHADY to say the least. Do not hire this company under any circumstance, I guarantee that if you do you will regret it ! Thanks for the call back Craig, some businessman you are. We chose this guy for the job because he was referred by someone on New Port Richey Chat facebook…read more We checked him out from the Nextdoor site and also from Yelp before deciding to use him. The agreement was we bought the supplies, and paid him labor. We agreed on $2000.00 for the labor. When he took the deposit, which was 35% = $700, he kept telling us that his merchant account got kicked back and kept coming to us 2 more times to get the same $700 deposit. He told us that the job would be scheduled for Thursday and Friday. Thursday came and he didn't do any work. On Friday, he didn't show up until 1pm, worked till midnight. Saturday he came to work half day and still did not get it done. To date, 8/8/2024, he has been ghosting us since! We made several attempts to request him to report to work but were unsuccessful. Upon calling the building permit department, we found that the permit had been filed but not paid while we had already paid a 35% deposit for the company to pull the permit and to start the work. We then found out that he charged the deposit 3 times. Our credit card had 3 different transactions $2121 in total which he lied and told us that the merchant account had a problem, needed to rerun the deposit transaction! Not only that he added a few more installation supplies and took them with him, never return our supplies which cost us $241.31 We already reported him to the FL licensing board and disputed our credit card. We are now left with the AC halfway installed!!! Please anyone, we are posting here to let you know DO NOT use this guy; He is a crook, doesn't matter if he had a good review or referrals in the past, they maybe just worked together to scam people!!!

We have a baby, so naturally we panicked and frantically began calling HVAC businesses. I'm pretty sure that I have my information to at least 4 different answering services promising a "call back." I turned to Yelp and Garland had wonderful reviews and i always prefer to support small/local businesses. I called the number and was sent a text asking me to text my problem, as he was on a job. I sent a rambling text about what we were experiencing along with our address and he (Seth) said that he would stop by after he finished the current job. I remind you, again, that this is 6:30pm on a Sunday. Seth communicated that he was on the way and he showed up at 8:30pm. Lucky for us (as the dollar signs plagued our daydreams), it was a straightforward fix that cost us a fraction of what we were anticipating. Seth took the time to service our AC and educated us on what we should do/look for to avoid this in the future. He was super personable and we greatly appreciated his customer service and the fact that he did not feel the need to fear-monger us into purchasing something that is unnecessary like so many other companies would. He gained new customers for our future AC needs and we are happy to refer Garland to our neighbors and friends.

He sent another guy out to check out my system. Fast forward to this summer & I was having a tough time reaching him. I needed new ductwork & I needed the system reinstalled cause it was no longer level. I was in the process of getting estimates when I mentioned Garland air. Well I was talking to a tech when Seth starts texting me. He was on my phone... guess I had accidentally called him. He asked to come out & give me an estimate. I said ok. A few hours later his son showed up who was also very polite. Zeke & Connor crawled under the house & took pics & videos. This was a few days before Christmas. Seth showed up & reviewed everything then gave us an offer. We agreed & he was here at 9am the next morning. They worked all day & night & made sure everything was working great. The next day my husband crawled under the house (old house) to see how it looked. He said it looked very professional. The ducts were tied up off the ground (unlike previous installs) the huge system was completely clean & level. The only thing we had to wait for was the steel cover. The cover finally came in & Seth came to install it today. I was in a meeting so I missed him but he still did a great job. I wanted to update my review because I have had so many terrible AC companies out here. Most of them are unreliable & don't do such great work. The companies that are generally reliable are quite expensive. Garland Air does great work at reasonable prices. I am so glad I accidentally called him that day. I will forever recommend Garland Air. They aren't afraid to get dirty to finish the job. I had at least 5 others out here that gave me estimates for new ductwork yet they never actually looked at the ductwork. They even stayed until 10pm to make sure it was all perfect prior to leaving my house. If you're in need of a new AC company... I highly recommend Garland Air. Thanks again guys! Happy new year!

I strongly discourage anyone from using Cozy Climate. They installed the HVAC system in our new…read moreconstruction home, and within six months it began failing. Over the next two years, our family spent a total of 67 days without air conditioning because of repeated breakdowns and failed repairs. The biggest issue was the condenser coil failing four separate times. Two of those failures were directly tied to Cozy Climate's workmanship by the manufacturer of the AC unit and an independent HVAC contractor. One coil was installed incorrectly, placing stress on it until it cracked. Another failed because when repairing the unit from an improper install, the owner of the company overheated the copper connection, making it brittle and causing it to crack. An improperly installed TXV also led to repeated misdiagnoses and unnecessary refrigerant charges instead of correcting the actual problem. Repairs were rarely completed correctly on the first visit. We were repeatedly forced to take time off work because Cozy Climate had to return multiple times to diagnose or complete the same repair. In one instance, they failed to bring a basic leak detector, then returned with a defective one, requiring three separate visits in one week just to properly diagnose the problem. The system was "repaired" so many times that the HVAC unit ultimately had to be completely replaced at just 2 1/2 years old, something no homeowner should ever experience with a brand-new system. To make matters worse, Cozy Climate refused to provide copies of my service records because my home builder paid them directly, even though the work was performed on my home. As the homeowner, I should not have had to fight to obtain the repair history of my own HVAC system. After researching local Facebook community groups, I found numerous homeowners describing similar issues with HVAC systems installed by Cozy Climate in new construction homes. I encourage anyone considering this company to do their research before making a decision. Based on my experience, I have absolutely no confidence in Cozy Climate's installation quality, workmanship, diagnostic abilities, or customer service, and I cannot recommend them. Worst of all, these repairs were mainly completed by the owner and license holder himself.
