(Note: The furniture bar cabinets and library were added later on and were not part of this contractor's project). From start to finish, the entire team was extremely professional, dedicated, and highly skilled. On the very first day we met, Nir helped design a 3D view of the project that perfectly captured exactly what we had envisioned. Throughout the build, we had a weekly walkthrough with Nir to check if we had any questions or concerns, which kept communication incredibly clear. Elba was also an excellent project coordinator who was always available to answer our questions and keep everything on track daily. The construction crew themselves were clearly very experienced and knowledgeable; they followed our approved plans meticulously and were happy to accommodate extra requests along the way. You can truly gauge the quality of their work by the fact that every single city inspector visit passed on the first try--nothing ever had to be rescheduled or redone because everything was built perfectly to plan. Additionally, all of the finishes--from the drywalling to the trim work and paint--were done with high-quality materials and top-tier craftsmanship. Overall, it was a great experience, and we highly recommend them!

I was first referred to Preferred Builders by my tax preparer, Happily, my first repair/remodel turned out wonderfully so I immediately started a remodel on my own home. Scope of work: remove all the carpeting in the house and install laminate plank flooring in those areas. The travertine flooring in the entry, kitchen and hallway had large craters which collected dirt and water residue after washing. I had the floor steamed, the craters filled and the whole floor resealed. I had a gasline installed in the kitchen and a new gas oven installed. I also had a complete bathroom remodel which included removing a huge jacuzzi tub and installing an elegant and safe walk in shower. For the bathroom Nir listened to my concerns and needs and then gave me two 3-D renderings of my options. Elba was fabulous and fast with permits, a purchase list and provided weekly job schedules and updates. I have now completed this remodel and I can't be happier. My Preferred Builders team was pure gold! I highly recommend Nir, Elba and Orel, the Foreman. Orel was caring and his experience was invaluable, Roman, (drywall, moldings, paint, flooring) Carlo (beautiful tile work) and Abnir were all professional, caring and kind. My remodel was reasonable and fast. I definitely recommend Preferred and I already have.

After meeting with several contractors, I decided to hire TRX Builders for my home in Redwood City, they had been referred by a neighbor. My project was executed in record time we upgraded the electrical power to enable the induction range was a challenge. Initially, before the project began, Danny and Debra explained to me various ways this could be done and what the codes required. The team had to redo the wiring in several places, which required opening the ceilings in the laundry room and hallways. It was a lot of work but came in on budget and the impacted areas were left looking new! Danny and Debra were regularly on site and in regular communication with me, always checking to see that things were done to my satisfaction. He did some drywall repair work at my mothers house and I then referred him to my condo buildings HOA. He did some minor things there and came off as a GC. We then hired him to do a concrete project because he fast talked us into believing he was knowledgeable and had vendors that worked for him. During that project he singlehandedly annoyed everyone in the building. Aside from the fact that he talks and BS's way too much he makes uncomfortable comments and remarks and makes owners feel very uneasy. As if all that wasn't enough, he kept trying to add in extras and hike up our bills. Before all of this was really coming to light I had contracted him to do some more work at my mothers house because he was able to beat the competing bids I had and I stupidly figured I could tolerate his annoying demeanor. BIG MISTAKE. He promised the job would be completed in 3.5 weeks. IT WAS OVER 10 WEEKS. He proceeded to hire random people to do jobs he said he was able to do. He harassed me over and over for upfront payments when the work was not being completed. Weeks at a time would go by with no shows, late appearances, etc. He made a complete mess and did not clean any of it up, he did not complete the job he was paid to do, he also caused a scene in front of my home with one of his "employees" screaming and making threats and proceeded to yell and scream in the house frightening my daughter and her friend who were doing homework. He also did not pay his "employees" who worked on my mothers home. Anyway I can go on and on but you get it.

We weren't the easiest clients this time around because we changed our minds so many times, but it was never a problem.
