Cal and my #1 concern, seriously, was that there was no OrangeTheory Fitness less than 2 hours away which had been my gym for 3 years, even through pandemic lockdown we were in the parking lot. Well I'm happy to say I found my gym and more importantly I found one w/ awesome staff that helps motivate and instruct me in doing everything Correctly & Safely. The staff, Amber & Candi are the best and the gym is always clean & Very well maintained. Another plus, all the ladies in my 9am Team Workout class are very nice and I look forward to my Base, Burn & Build classes on M/W/F each & every week. Even going in on the weekend when there's no one really around is very peaceful and a great way to get caught up on podcasts with all the best equipment! I am a retired "snowbird". I was in the Prescott area and went to Anytime Fitness Prescott. One…read moreday I tried to get in but my FOB could not open the door. Thinking there was a problem with payment, I checked my records - payments were made. I then was calling corporate but could not get answers as to why my FOB was not working and got passed on to someone else. This went on for days. I finally got to someone who would help. That AF rep confirmed that I was paid up. Also I was not just blocked at the Prescot location but the entire chain which I understand is about 5500 locations. I asked why. The rep told me that there were not reports/comments in my file. I have been a member for many years. If I had done something so bad that it would block me from the entire chain there should have been something documented in my file. Or, at least someone from AF talk to me about what I supposedly did. No one from AF reached out to be re an incident and maybe give me a warning. None of this happened. The helpful AF rep told me that after several attempts to reach Prescott directly that he finally talked to someone. The rep was told that I had been blocked because I had been using their parking lot as a toilet. This very odd since I live a work out of a motor home with a fully functional bathroom on board. Also, while my FOB was working, a short walk across the a few parking spaces would have given me access the the several toilets inside the Prescot location. First, I think I may have been confused with someone else. Second, this happened a few weeks ago, AF is still taking payments out of my account though I am supposedly not a member anymore. I will have to see what I can do to get this stopped via my bank since AF is so difficult to deal with and unresponsive. I have managed businesses for many decades. I have rarely seen customer service so bad. However, this is a trend that my peers and I ( 60-70 years) that the young ones in our various industries (30-40 yrs and younger) are sloppy and lazy on this subject.

It's been a pleasing experience overall. I've tried other gyms in the area and this one is reasonably sane and the members are very cooperative and helpful. This is in sharp contrast to the low cost option, where you have to wind your way through members who camp out on the equipment while texting away. Ask to work in and your blown off.
