I love my local YMCA, which is currently the Merrimack, NH branch. They have a wonderful…read moreassortment of fitness classes, which I find to be the most fun way to burn calories. Checking in is a breeze, the front desk staff are always so friendly and welcoming, and there are plenty of vending machines with healthy (some more than others) and refreshing drinks and snacks. The Merrimack location has an indoor track, racquetball courts, cardio and weight equipment, a swimming pool (for lap swim, classes, swim lessons, team swim, etc), as I mentioned previously, three locations for fitness classes (aerobic and yoga area, spin and dance studio that is used by the barre class). I love Yoga, Zumba (regular and toning), Dance Fit, and kickboxing. The instructors are friendly, welcoming and informative. I always have fun even if I am not the most coordinated individual. It is a great way to cross train for my regular hiking and running routines. The fee price is more than your typical PF type place but offers so much for the cost. They have reduced fees for individuals who may be in need due to low income, disability, etc. I am a fan and look forward to going.

My daughter has been in this daycare for over a year now, and we both love it. She was recently…read moreout for the month of April because of Covid and just went back, and she is honestly thriving there. The school goes to great lengths to keep everyone safe, and they are doing a great job. I think possibly because of the reduced class sizes, or new lesson structures, our daughter is doing better than ever. She is coming home telling us all kinds of stories and making lots of connections to what she learned that day. She loves going to school everyday and usually cries when we pick her up, because she doesn't want to leave. The staff are friendly and good at their jobs, from the directors to teachers. I love getting pictures and updates throughout the day through the tadpole app. I don't know what we'd do if she couldn't go back to daycare, we are very grateful that Goddard is open and working as hard as they can to keep everyone healthy and safe in these crazy times.

They also have great flexibility as I only needed her to be in school 2 - 3 days a week. I feel comfortable that my daughter is in great care when I am at work.

The building is new and well maintained. The sightlines are very good. However, as far as treating their guests with respect Nashua Sports Academy is a total failure. This weekend they hosted teams from all over New England many who traveled two to four hours. I totally understand not allowing people into set up chairs until the official start time but not allowing people in to use the rest rooms after waking up before first light and driving several hours is almost criminal. To top it off the staff was very rude while going about it. They made people stand outside as it began to rain. They do not allow people to bring in outside food which is not unheard of at higher end venues but on a prior visit by my daughter's team I was told they had staff going round and making people take things outside including water for the players. This time this did not happen. You expect if they are not going to allow outside food they will have a selection of food available, they had hot dogs, cold popcorn, and a small selection of pre-packaged foods. Another, thing I found interesting was other than the volleyball there was nothing else going on. We went Sportszone Indoor Sports in Derry. NH this winter. This another venue which was also a multi-sport facility and there were many other things going on through the day flag football, soccer, basketball, and a children's hitting clinic. There was none of this going on at NSA.

First off want to say that there are some great people working for this company. I send my kids to…read moreall of their programs (after school, summer and other camps). However, I've noticed a decline lately in the quality of care my kids are getting. I'm not sure why this is the case, but both my wife and I have noticed this. Part of it is, as the kids get older, the personnel they hire for the job to take care of kids that age seems to change. Additionally, I've found them to be quite rigid in policy and have some pretty antiquated bookkeeping/processing. For instance, for every different program you enter (which could be up to 4 or 5 a year) you have to fill out the same paperwork, the same payment options, and then pay a $55 administration fee each time per child. It's a little ridiculous. They have all of this on file already, and doing this for 2 kids, it's a bit much (usually about 8-10 pages of forms which don't change).

You cannot find a better, well rounded day camp in the area. The kids experience horse riding…read morelessons, arts & crafts, nature, theater dance & music, sports, archery, rocketry, Project SOAR (climbing, repelling, zip lining, etc), swimming lessons & free swim and LOTS more. This is a family run camp with a significant number of repeat staff and campers. The 2-week sessions give the campers a chance to become comfortable and competent. Many campers attend multiple sessions & I believe this is because the staff truly enjoys their work and the campers. It is such an awesome place, if only I was young again....
