Great place for kids. Grounds are beautiful and staff are top notch. I have been a fan and supporter for years.

I live over an hour away from Spring Grove, yet made the journey for my daughter who is an avid horse lover. She recently went for Spring Camp, and while it was only two days, she met other campers who have the same passion as her HORSES. She told me the day we left, "Mom hurry up! You need to sign me up for the summer before it is full!" She enjoyed riding, grooming and especially cleaning the hooves of the horses. I have always told her that riding a horse is a privilege and not a right. Horses need to be respected and that was fully reinforced at Meadowsweet Ranch. The safety of the children is priority, which is why the HORSE comes first. Crafts and activities planned with the other campers were appropriate, and the ranch feel is definitely welcoming. My only request is that I would have liked more feedback on the day of the camp to know what my daughter did that day. I guess no news is good news! Most importantly for me is that she LOVED it and we will definitely be back for on of the 3 summer sessions.

She talked about how much fun she has had and how much she has learned. She has been wanting to spend more time with the horses at the ranch. So we may have to sign her up for more lessons :) The staff & counselors are so kind, friendly, and wonderful! Thanks Meadowsweet Ranch for providing such a great experience for our daughter!

Each day the whole camp goes on a field trip. Whether it be a water park, the zoo, a museum, or for go karts and laser tag. The fun is quite literally endless. We will definitely be enrolling my son every summer until he ages out. The camp counselors are engaging, fun, and "cool" per my son. He has made friendships that I hope will last a long time to come. Communication is also great with the owners and they supply your child with all of the necessities for camp during orientation (towel, shirts, backpack, etc). Also, GT has a shuttle from a location near my house that brings my son to the camp's headquarters. Huge bonus for a busy mother like myself. Worth every penny to see the happiness from my child. Thank you GT!

We were very upfront from the beginning that our son may not make it very long in camp as we were having some social/emotional issues with him. We communicated with the owner every step of the way. We paid them $3075 upfront for camp. We pulled him out just before the end of the second week and when push came to shove, they didn't work with us at all. They started quoting policy and gave us $550 of our $3075 back. They never planned to work with us, it was all lip service. I don't recommend this place. They also own Poco Loco Daycare as well. I have no experience with the daycare, but judging by their relationship skills and attitude, I would tread carefully.

I have gotten to know Lawrence over the past two years through the second friday events and he does an amazing job. This particular event was for sukkot and included arts and crafts, hayrides, a chance to put the crafts in their sukkah, a petting zoo and live music. EFA is a great venue. The site is extensive and gave plenty of room for all of these activities to co exist. Because its in LZ, the hayride almost felt like being on a farm, Without a doubt the highlight of the day with the Garoon Gateway to Science. Its an amazing experience. Its hands on and outside. Both of which are important for learning. Chicago is definitely bereft of hands on museums and the Garoon definitely is. According to the website for Garoon it says. "In this state-of-the-art, outdoor learning environment, children ages 4-14 are encouraged to explore basic physical and natural science principles in a way that challenges learning, curiosity and creativity. The hands-on exhibits are designed to be both fun and demonstrative. JCC believes children learn best through processes that peak their own curiousity and compel them toward discovery (informal, experiential education).... "This project is in the mainstream of a world-wide movement toward experiential, outdoor, informal science education," said Martin Levine, General Director of JCC Chicago. "The basic premise is that children can have fun and do serious learning at the same time."
