I hired NightHawk Remodeling in May 2025 for a $48K home addition. I clearly stated from day one…read morethat the entry door must go in the corner of the new room, and I shared full building and truss plans. I was told it was feasible, but weeks later, they reversed that and proposed a layout that took away more than half my closet -- a major deviation. Communication was poor, timelines slipped, and the drafter showed up unannounced. I terminated the contract and requested a refund. NightHawk is withholding my money despite delivering plans that ignored key requirements. I've filed a formal dispute and may proceed with arbitration. Extremely disappointing experience -- costly, stressful, and avoidable with better planning and transparency.

Brian was very easy to communicate with and took care of ordering all of the supplies. They came by the following week and completed the install as scheduled. They were very tidy using drop cloths on the carpet and cleaned up after themselves; unlike a lot of handymen/ contractors. Our staircase not only looks better, but is as solid as a rock and not all wobbly like it was before. The price was fair and I would highly recommend using them for staircase work or any other carpentry projects, such as molding or built-in's. I have uploaded a before and after pic to this review.

Well fast forward almost a year later and now there is a baby in the house that is ready to move. In my childproofing quest, I told my husband that now is the time to get the stair handrail fixed. He found The Finishing Company. We advised Brian why rods we would like and that our stairwell was loose. Brian said no problem. We got our stair handrail fixed and new rods added in less than five hours. It is such an improvement. Brian is meticulous. He made sure to vacuum up dust every little step along the way. Now when I come home, I get to not only see a beautifully staircase but I feel a great piece of mind that the stair handrail is sturdy enough for once my baby is mobile.
