Work began in October 2022 for a project that Timber Creek Construction proposed as a 10-week project. 12 months later, our bathroom was not close to being complete. A sample of the issues remaining included the following: * No plumbing fixtures installed * No electrical fixtures installed * Incomplete tile installation * No doors installed * Significant trim issue * Subpar paint job, characterized by a Timber Creek employee as "...was beyond unacceptable" and "...embarrassed by the work...". * A complete mess of our Master Bedroom, Master Closet, and additional bedroom (where we thought we were temporarily storing our belongings) that needed extensive cleaning. This project contained poor project management, poor workmanship, no quality assurance on work that was completed, no adherence to provided schedules, and up charges on selection items that were neither contained in the agreed proposal or indicated to us prior to signing the agreement. The emotional trauma and physical health issues this caused us are beyond comprehension. We lived in complete chaos for a year with no completion in sight. It became very clear that Timber Creek was in over their head with this project and underestimated effort and project details that had been discussed many times prior to the work starting. We were left with no other option than to cease working with Timber Creek and pursue other means of completion, at a cost that was significantly more expensive than anything we had anticipated and proposed by Timber Creek. This was the worse construction/remodeling job we ever experienced.

We bought a new home from this company in March 2020 and have had many issues with zero money back…read moreto help compensate for our lost income at the same time we had closing costs and many other expenses. We would advise looking elsewhere based on our experiences 1) dryer vent connection missing 2) plumbing roof air vent very loose not secure in attic 3) ballustor boards had to be redone due to brads only used to attach 4) Front door spacing for lock over 1/2 inch see pictures requested door replacement refused 5)Two damaged trees that had died and were obviously dead front of house refused even partial compensation for removal ( note dead leaves on tree and no buds as other trees around them) 6) Only a single floor vent in two of our bedrooms 120 sq feet each causing temperature problems compared to rest of house 7) Roof kerf boards both ends of house installed too low causing roof to hang over badly. We had to get fixed at our expense due to contractor telling us there was nothing wrong then offering to put up some ugly right away or never 8) crawl space door not closing leaving crack something I had to remove and redo 9) front door threshold plate had no support under but does now after I had to do it 10) Other roof plumbing vent had nails exposed and opening that would have likely leaked in a heavy rain or certainly a snow so I had to temporarily seal 11) Front entrance door had 1/4 space underneath as well as latch problem that I had to jury rig by putting 3 washers behind latch plate to get door to lock Some items were not discovered until after the home closing by a few days and weeks but a quality company in our opinion should stand behind their workmanship and at the very least help out with expenses in what was suppose to be a new house not a used one. We are retired living on a fixed income and cannot afford this and being our first new home deserve better. We are only asking for an amount less than we had to pay for the dead trees removal alone. We think $2000.00 with a $2000.00 deductible on any future major issues ( No conditions removing what little the state mandates on a new home for our future safety financially) is fair since we will have to invest close to $5000 in repairs and corrections of issues. Our insurance would have likely deemed the two large trees (one really a doubletree) as shown obviously dead as they were and caused us to have to pay for the damage when they fell on our roof. We think this is only fair but as it seems like that is not going to happen since we get no response since we have received no compensation whatsoever to this date. In closing good luck if you are searching for a new home but be sure to keep your eyes open for everything as inspectors find some miss some in my experience no matter who you get. UPDATE 10/25/2020 : Number 12) Just fixed another problem that I finally got around to. The Outside HVAC condensing unit pad was not even close to level so I had to raise up 2 inches one side and install gravel under it to level properly. This will cause damage to compressor as it causes a lack of lubricating oil to approximately half of the compressor located here. We can only hope ours is still ok for the long run. A punch list would have fixed most of these issues as well as ones not mentioned here that were addressed during our home inspection. If we only could get a redo but not possible. Again we definitely cannot recommend this company for anything!

I reached out to a few contractors and picked Josh because of his professionalism and detailed paperwork of the project. He was not the most expensive nor the least expensive, however he walked through showing my husband and I some problem areas that needed addressing. In researching his thoughts, he was spot on and we are grateful he pointed out these problem areas. He stayed in constant contact with us and showed us what he did each day. If he had to stop at a home improvement store, he let us know he would be a few minutes late. For the most part, he was there between 730 and 800 and did not leave before 500. He knew what our budget was and did not go over it one penny. The deck and screened in porch came out amazing, better than what we expected. He made the screened part to look like windows on the outside with the trim of the wood. The lower part of the inside he did a pallet look, which he suggested after the project had started, and did not charge us for it. I was thrilled when I saw what he did to give it a "rustic" look at no cost to us, but time on is part. There is no doubt we would hire Josh again, in fact my husband already has discussed a couple of other projects with him as soon as Josh has time. This young man has talent and knowledge along with ideas that will fit anyone's budget. He is professional and respectful and you won't be disappointed.

I paid/invested 5900 dollars and they built the frame (they never returned to complete the job nor provide a refund)which failed inspection, caused 1500 dollars worth of damage, refused to provide my insurance company with the name of theirs to determine liability, provided an inaccurate address to the state for their LLC so if you attempt to take legal action they can't serve him. Unaware of building codes, used the wrong required blocks for footings and instead of replacing just flipped over the pyramid style blocks. The list goes on and on. Pictures available to demonstrate lack of quality of work. They promise the world and deliver nothing. BUYER BEWARE.
