Was looking for a non-RMT massage place, my hotel was near by. The SPA is located in a building that has an indoor mall/bazar, but the spa is NOT accessible from the mall, it only has a street entrance on Spadina with a very large building sign, and folding sidewalk sign. You will have to walk through the frozen yogurt restaurant and up the steps to reach the SPA. Ask FroYo cashier if your lost.
Facilities are clean/maintained/recently renovated (less than 10 years ago). No shortcuts taken. No dust or grime anywhere.
The numbers listed on Google Maps/their website dont work anymore so calling ahead was impossible, cashier guy didn't have much of an answer but said they do have a business card for calling with the correct number.
There was 1 person ahead of me, and the lobby is a little chaotic, too much demand, or lack of MTs. The staff is a combination of non-Chinese speaking English Canadians, Chinese Canadians, and no English Chinese. I believe this business does Thai techniques, but doesn't hire Thai staff. You might get assigned a MT with no english and you will need to use translator app with him/her (I had to), or call in whoever is the cashier to translate.
$30 cash for 30 mins feet, $100 for 30 mins body. These prices are rounded down because of cash discount.
I did get walked on with feet, various stretches, attention paid to neck and legs (often forgotten by all MTs). Body massage was a female MT, foot massage was by a male MT and was very strong just as I requested. They swapped because of prior appointments ahead of me, mid appointment.
Since this looks like a walk up friendly business, I'd expect more staff on a saturday afternoon/night, the chaos/delays/interruptions/language barriers, are the only negative thought I have. Training/technique/facility are perfect. I'd go back in the future. read more
