Disclaimer: Only have been here once. My sister and I were on our way back to our AirBnB after visiting the Hot Springs and we wanted something yummy and Mexicany (new word?). We stumbled upon Yilberto's! Glad we did! Service was friendly and helpful, tacos were excellent! We helped ourselves to the salsa bar, nice variety and pretty tasty too. Chips were actually really good, perfect. Pricing was fair. You order at the counter and then they will bring it out to you. A little slow, but we were there during a fairly busy time of day. For being one of few options out in Anza, this place holds its own. Quaint but clean inside, and decent seating. Good salsa bar options and the burrito was about the average expected size. Value was right on par with other places in town and flavor was good. Staff was friendly and really had no complaints with my experience, definitely a spot I'll come back to when working in the area. read more

My parents asked me to pick up some burritos and this was on the way. Three burritos cost $39 before tip, which is diabolical (especially since one was a bean and cheese). The food was fine but definitely didn't warrant the price though it was freshly made as I was the only customer. I used the restroom while I waited and... it kinda was giving gas station vibes. I drive by this place every day for work and finally went to try this place on my lunch break. I walked in and was greeted right away from the cashier, young kid and he was respectful. It was at half capacity and wasn't loud. Nice n cold inside too. I ordered a Chile relleno plate, comes with rice, beans and choice of tortilla. This plate was really good! Probably one of my favorite places to get a chile relleno from. The rice was nice and soft, and the beans were cooked perfect(some places I've been got it too dry). I wanted to share some feedback regarding Yilbertos food. While their salsas are quite good, I've noticed that the rice can be a bit hard at times, and the carne asada and beans could use a bit more flavor. The fajitas are chopped up carne asada when they should be strips of steak and they could also use more flavor. With every taco shop I believe they are over priced with meals that do not include a drink... this should be changed. The main issue, however, lies with the tortillas used for the tacos and taquitos. If they were to switch to a different type, I believe the overall taste of the dishes would significantly improve, as the current tortillas tend to fry up too hard and detract from the enjoyment. read more

We've been wanting to try this place since we moved nearby. It's more of a bigger taco shop versus an actual restaurant. You order your food and pay up front then seat yourself. They will bring you food to you when it's ready. We ordered chips to start off. They have a good variety on their salsa bar. We had the rolled tacos which come with guacamole and shredded cheese, we had beef. Super fresh and delicious. Carne asada torta was huge, meat was very authentic. Chile relleno and a shredded beef enchilada with rice and beans! Husband approved as he is very particular with his food and said it tasted great! Everything was fresh, hot, and very authentic. I would choose this place versus the taco shop in Anza anytime. Not that they aren't good but Yiliberto's is way better. Prices are decent and portions are big. We didn't finish our food. A local spot between Temecula and the desert on the long curvy road we all just want to get over. But hey, we need a bite right? And this spot fit the bill perfectly! In a mostly empty strip mall and I'm assuming it's run by a really hard working local family.... It's a great spot for a break and a bite. How do you give a hole-in-the-wall Mexican joint a 5? That's a hard call and it better be OMG good. Yilberto's isn't write-home good, but it's worth a visit. It was only me, so I ordered the carne asada plate. Beans, rice and asada were similar to what I've had at dozens of other places, served with some meaty corn tortillas. The best thing was the medium salsas (both the red and the green), which had some lingering heat. Also liked the homemade carrots, though one was a bit mushy. I'll likely be back at some point and will check out the flour tortillas, the chips and salsa and perhaps a taco. But for now, 4 stars for some decent food, friendly service and a good view of the valley and surrounding hills. read more

Youve got to be careful when ordering. take ur time.they are very expensive but there are some good prices on the lunch specials. However if u dont know about them the girl will try to over sell you to try to get more money from you...their food overall is tasty but i felt taken advantage of when i just wanted a lunch deal and she tried to sell me the regular meal which is more than double the price.....i cant figure it since im a regular customer... i know times are tuff but thats no reason to be unscupulous with the customers that pay ur paycheck! I will return to the casino which has great food and with a veterans discount .i really like to spread the wealth and patronize all the local businesses. read more

I live in the area and decided to give this place a try... being of Mexican decent I'm disappointed. The machaca plate is what I ordered. The beef came from a can and the retried beans tasted funny. The rice was good but could have been served hotter, in fact the entire plate just warm. I'm giving this place two stars cause I really enjoyed the coffee. I like the carne Asada anything way better here. The carne asada fries and burritos are delicious. The prices are a bit cheaper too. And I'm in love with their mild salsa. Make sure you have lots of time though because the food always takes a really long time to come out. The customer service has been average, I've had better, and they haven't come across as the most friendly. You come for the food, that's about it. They do have a decent amount of seating for all sizes of groups which is nice! read more

This is an excellent little Mexican restaurant along Highway 371 just south of Anza. The food is very authentic and service is quick. We live in Lake Riverside Estates, so I can call in an order, get in the car and it will be ready when I arrive. Quick and easy dinner! read more

I read the other reviews...my fish taco experience was horrible. Maybe I caught them on a bad day..not sure..but who puts avocado on fish tacos? Also, they were out of lettuce and cabbage so I got dry fish tacos with avo...yuck. :o( My husband ordered carnitas and thought they were very good though. So as I said maybe it was just a bad day for fish tacos and I should of ordered something else lol! I will try them another time and I really hope it's better as we do not have many choices for dining out in Anza. I like their Chili Rellanos and it's usually less crowded than La Cucina in town. The girl that works the counter with the 2 braids needs to work on her customer service skills though and she always forgets my drinks. Picked one up from here while getting burgers (since the only other place to get a good one is permanently closed) for the rest of the family and I am very impressed. The food is still good, but it's just not the same since Rosie left. The one thing I can't stand are the flies. I don't want to sit down to eat and I'm swatting flies from my food face the window. And it seems to be every time I come here always with the flies. Because the towns lack of power we've had I'm sure today's visit was worse then normal so I won't fault today's visit but there's fly issue for sure. read more
