I have been to Ye's buffet for a couple of years now and it's our first time (w/ my brother) that we experienced there's no aircon in the vicinity. The air was so humid and the customers are sweating and management did not offer any fan or fix the aircon for the convenience. I hope they do something about this. read more

A solid buffet overall, though it's definitely quite westernized -- so if you're expecting an authentic Chinese buffet, you might be a little surprised or disappointed depending on your expectations. That said, if you're able to set that expectation aside, it's actually a really enjoyable experience. The food quality is good across the board, with a nice variety of dishes to choose from -- everything from stir-fries and noodles to sushi, salads, and desserts. The items are fresh and frequently restocked, which is always great to see at a buffet. The service is friendly and efficient, and the interior is clean, bright, and modern, which makes for a comfortable dining experience. Prices are reasonable for the amount of food and variety you get. Overall, while it's not the most "authentic" Chinese buffet out there, Ye's Buffet is still a great spot for a satisfying, casual meal -- perfect if you just want to relax and enjoy a wide selection of good food. read more

We visit Ye's when we're in town visiting. They have a great selection for all palates so everyone leaves happy. We usually arrive right after opening during lunch and early for dinner as well. The food is fresh or they restock fresh dishes often. I cannot speak for soups or the salads as I do not come to a buffet for those items. The sushi items are decent. The typical chinese faire is also pretty good. The sesame balls are a great finisher. My kids love the ice cream and dessert bar but the last few times we went the soft serve machine was not working. Lunch time has some seafood, however dinner is the best time if you want premium shrimp or seafood dishes. read more

Rude Botox lip waitress. Soups were missing the mark, wonton soup was just noodle, Hot and sour soup disappointing. Deep fried whatever they can think of?! Plus regular deep fried stuff. Salad bar is pathetic!!! When they were in Brandon it started out ok, then they got kicked out and came to wpg. And for a so called Japanese restaurant the sushi look dry like a plastic display!! Gross! All the meat there was low grade Chewy Crap! Seems like another Bastardized Chinese food place. No Japanese Pride here! read more

One of the more popular AYCE spots in town. The place is big enough for large parties as we came with 25 ppl for a family party. The service was good and picked up plates quickly. There was alot of hot food and some basic sushi. All the items were mid and nothing really unique to make you crave this spot. If you have a large party and want to get the most bang for your buck, this place is for you! read more

It's not the largest selection of meal options I've ever seen but what they do have is quality. 4 star quality. The food I tried was pretty good! I wish the sushi was more authentically Japanese but it was still yummy. I love the taro bun and the red bean bun. Noodles were yummy. The desert was interesting and overall it's a fun place to try food items. They have about 6 rows, counting the sides, of buffet trays with meal options. I like this place and how can I complain when they have jello! When I went here with a friend during the week day the restaurant was packed with happy groups of people. read more

Too over price and false advertisement. Offers "10%" off for seniors but charges the weekend price on a weeknight. I was charged $32.99 on a Tuesday night (when it was supposed to be $29.99) then they added the 10% discount making it $29.69. Why is everyone else charged $29.99 except for seniors that were charged $32.99 to get the exact same pricing. read more

This buffet is located near downtown Winnipeg and Polo Park Mall. Just like any other buffet, it was busy with families and friends all eager to eat a wide range of Asian food. The highlight of this buffet is definitely the service, because the employees were always happy to help! Not only that but, as blunt as it may seem to say this ... their staff spoke English and had great dialect which made it easy to communicate services. Whereas, some buffets I've been to only a fraction of the staff would understand and speak English. ASIAN FOOD, my fave. Oddly enough, this buffet had a great sushi selection (also something you don't see everyday). But I'd pass on the sashimi because it didn't taste as fresh. They also serve a decent amount of dim sum and dumplings! As for the meats, they range from general tao chicken, coconut shrimp, ribs, a half of crab, fried chicken, and much more! I would definitely recommend this buffet for large gatherings or simply if you're craving every Asian food item possible. Ye's hits the spot! read more

PLEASE DO NOT GO THERE IF YOU HAVE DIGNITY! They treated me and my 6 yo like sh*t, one of the staff grabbed my daughter from her hands and yelled at her and me! when I went to talk to the manager to report the incident, he said "take your kid and leave". Such a horrible experience I felt so bad for my daughter and they made her cry but those guys have no hearts unfortunately.... read more

Dream buffet. Japanese food including sashimi and the best of the rest. Had some broccoli beef, salmon sashimi, maki rolls, crispy tempura, spare ribs, sorbet, to name half of what I remember. A diner I was with had a worry about MSG. They were prominently displaying "prepared with no added MSG" read more

This is a flavourless buffet. Limited selection of basic American food. Not really Chinese or Japanese Sushi just bland Americanized buffet. I would take a hard pass at this place. read more

I love a good Asian buffet and this place doesn't disappoint. I guarantee everyone will find something to eat here. This place does a good job including different foods such as Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese. I like that I can have dim sum with some sushi. The food is not 5-star quality but there is enough variety here that I feel I can have a good meal. The only con is the service. I am used to subpar service at buffet restaurants already but this place is pretty bad. Good luck asking your server for anything you can't grab yourself. And I've come back to my still dirty plate at the table after getting another plate. It's hard to overlook bad service even when the food is good. read more

So much food! Rows and rows of food. And the sushi is decent, too, not overly filled with rice, I was surprised considering the selection for sushi. They have pork buns and dumplings and all the standard chicken pork and veggie fare for a buffet. Soft serve ice cream (they have mango flavored). The flavors aren't amazing, but they're pretty good! Above what you would expect considering the huge selection. I can see myself coming back if I'm in the area, definitely. Good value to be had. read more

Violet Burt doesn't recommend Ye's Buffet. Winnipeg Manitoba not California Just now · ... Took my special needs brother there on Feb. 9 for his birthday. We were there right at opening. I went to the washroom to wash my hands 5 minutes after arriving and the garbage can were overflowing, staff was clean as we all stood in foyer waiting for our number to be called. When we proceeded to the food area, the food was about half full, we were there for about 1 hour and they were still bringing food out. $25.99 for this was robbery. The waitress was so rude it was incredible. I would never go back there, it was not like my first experience there for sure. read more

The food selection is good and is well prepared. I dropped in about 45 minutes to closing time so really didn't have much of a relaxing experience. Also for my two plates that I managed to have found the end bill very pricy. Two trips to the buffet and a soft drink culminated in a $42 meal charge in the end. It's going to be a while before I go back again. read more

Absolutely love it here! So much variety and with covid, it's more of an all you can eat sushi buffet style like ordering but for things like the veggie dishes and noodles, they give you large portions so it doesn't feel like you aren't getting the buffet experience. Always good food, staff wears masks, good table spacing and it feels safe because you get temperature checked upon entering! read more

Hands down best buffet I've been to in my life. Power went out at the house so we were hungry and wanted to charge our phones and I was taken here and left happy. I heard many good things from my sister and her friends but the experience, along with wide food selection was perfection in itself. The Mongolian beef and muscles were my highlight. Also excellent service, my cup of was never empty. read more

I hate giving bad reviews but honestly this was the worst sushi I've ever had. I threw it out, it was gross. The rice was not cooked well, the fish tasted soggy. The pickled ginger was really good though lol. I would not order from here ever again. read more

Great variety of choices.Reasonably priced buffet and staff was helpful and courteous.

Unfriendly, rude and dirty. Tables a mess and food on the floor. And it is mandatory to wear a mask to get your food but the entire restaurant is maskless while eating, large parties, no arrows on the floor, tables next to each other with no social distancing. Logic seems to be missing ... first and last time stepping into the place. Enjoy read more

This place is great! I find there is a major difference between the taste of food during lunch and dinner. Every time I have a sushi craving I try to think of other places but nothing compares to the price and quality and quantity at Ye's Buffet especially the dinner. I'm here almost every week. read more

Awesome buffet! Dinner buffet is about $25 per person and lunch is cheaper. The dinner buffet selection has allot of choices and worth going to. read more

Very good, high quality buffet; but at a cost. We all want buffet to be cheap, full of variety, but Ye's isn't the typical. It is high quality, smaller variety. I love the sushi while my wife prefers the 'Cantonese style' Chinese food. No one is disappointed, the styles are high side of enjoyable. Very much recommended, but be prepared to pay for your meal; especially during the holidays! read more

We live coming here for the lunch buffet! We like it because of the great selection of various hot and cold foods. The service is nothing to brag about, but the concept is not about service. This is a large restaurant (and it can be very loud and busy); not a place for a quiet meal, but we keep coming back for the food. read more

This is one of the cleanest and friendliest buffet I've been to in Canada! The sushi was surprisingly good and I've been to Japan! Granted, I only stayed with the fresher looking foods. I stayed away from the fried foods and stuck with only the raw salmon sushi. I love the waffle and ice cream bar! It's also great that is right next to Polo Park! Will be back since this is a great place to bring families or for parties. read more

This place is gold. The sushi buffet was great. I went for lunch and I got about 3 or 4 plates and everything was delicious. Was about 20$ after tip which is pretty good price for all you can eat...and I ate all I could eat lol. I highly recommend this place, also their Chinese food was good too but I really went for the sushi. read more

A group from our company went here for the all-you-can buffet and they charged us double for all the drinks we ordered. BE VERY CAREFUL if you come with a group of people and double check how much they charge you for drinks. The service was very bad as well. We had called in ahead to be seated in the corner and when we came in they sat us down in the middle. Right after we were moved the servers showed alot of attitude and would be very aggressive with the plates and tables. read more

It was our first time here and the first thing I noticed was the amazing selection of foods, They had a great selection of Chinese, Japanese, Thai, sushi, Canadian/American, something for everyone. The only item that didn't excite me was the steak, only because it was too rare for my liking, but with the vast selection, there was lots more food to choose from that was absolutely delicious. The staff and service were fantastic and even though the place was PACKED, we didn't have to wait very long to get in and it didn't feel cramped like other buffets I've been to that get busy. The only negative I can see would be the parking... There just didn't seem to be enough, but with a fantastic buffet on Saturday evening, what can one expect. In my opinion, this is the best east Asian buffet in Winnipeg. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to try a great up-scale buffet. read more

Even though the place was packed, it felt roomy. The decor is very nice, and with two exceptions (crab salad, a little underseasoned, and teryaki beef, no flavor) everything I tried was delicious! And... bonus... they make General Cho's chicken, something I can't get anywhere else in Winnipeg. We've made this our restaurant. It's unlike any buffet anywhere... thanks, Ye's! read more

I am a fan of this place...but I think it is too pricey to even a lunch buffet. There is one chicken I love, and it is the spicy chicken that is dry with jalapeno in it! Been here a few times because my girlfriend forced me to... I've seen maggots here (and all over Facebook too), I've seen fire trucks here, I've got sick here once... Food are fresh and lots of choice, quality comparable to Toronto Asian Buffet. 4.5 out of 5 stars

Ye's is my favourite Asian buffet restaurant in the City. It has a wide variety of food, ranging from pizza to sushi to dim sum to authentic Chinese dishes. The quality of food is excellent especially for buffet style. If you have friends who have refined pallets (I mean picky), they will certainly find something at Ye's that will cater to them because Ye's has everything!! For your not-too-adventurous friends, this is a also a great place to introduce them to Asian cuisine. The restaurant has a high ceiling so it feels very open when you walk in. It also has plenty of seatings, it is perfect for large groups. The ambient reminds me of what you'd find at luxury restaurants in Las Vegas. I have been to Ye's for a good 5-6 times now for different occasions, including both lunch and dinner. I have to admit that I have never once been disappointed with the food or service. If you ever go to Ye's on the day of your birthday, you can get a 50% off your order! I'd highly recommend you to go check it out if you've never been!! read more
