Although the receptionist told us they were fully booked, they were kind enough to squeeze us in, with an estimated 30-minute wait. We were incredibly grateful and immediately made the drive to Milpitas! When we arrived, the office was quite crowded, so we waited about 30-35 minutes before being taken into the treatment room. After the first treatment, I felt muscle relief and was able to focus more. Second session I felt the nerve pain where she needled around the eye and sinus areas. For my 3rd session, she needled me more than usual. She said I had a lot of dampness and sinus pain. I had cupping done as well to relax my back muscles. Acupuncture and cupping helps with relief. I found Lao Lao acupuncture on Yelp, and contacted Dr. Sarah over the phone and explained my symptoms even after their closing hours. We scheduled an appointment for the following day, where I met Dr. Sarah and Dr. Deborah who were very professional and spent half an hour pinpointing locations that I had issues with. During this period, Dr. Sarah treated my neck which led to a burst of tears, not from pain but from relief. I'm not sure if they realized at the time, but they continued the treatment and after putting in the last needle, I felt a HUGE wave of emotions that I've bottled over the years from fear and I couldn't hold back the tears anymore. The whole session was extremely therapeutic and cleansing, and since then my nerve pain has subsided and has become more manageable. Had acupuncture and cupping for the first time this evening for chronic migraines. The office lobby…read morewas warm and inviting when I walked in. There was no one at the desk at first, but one of the acupuncturists soon came out and checked me in. She showed me where the restrooms were, asked me to take a seat and said my acupuncturist would soon be with me. My acupuncturist asked me some health questions in the private room where I was to have my treatment. She listened and didn't dismiss anything I said like my regular doctor often does. Then she explained where she would be inserting the needles and why. She also went into detail about what I could expect during the session, which I appreciated. Most of the needle insertions were painless, but a few hurt a bit. The pain went away quickly. The acupuncturist turned out the lights and left the room as I laid on my back on the table with the needles in me. I couldn't feel them as long as I didn't move. I'm not sure how long I laid there, but it was very warm and relaxing with gentle music playing. I almost fell asleep. I had a button I could press if I needed help and the acupuncturist checked on me a couple times. She removed the needles and then had me rollover on to my stomach for cupping on my upper back to help with pain relief in my neck and shoulders. After the session my migraine was gone and my neck and shoulder pain had decreased. I made several more appointments and look forward to them.
