Orlando has an incredibly diverse and vibrant food scene and Romay is by far one of my favorite places to eat. Whether for lunch or dinner, events or markets, these Ethiopian meals always hit the spot. And the timeliness of the preparation takes nothing away from the deliciousness. Good things don't just come to those who wait, they come to those who buy from Romay Ethiopian Kitchen.

If you want to try authentic Ethiopian cuisine, look no further than Yene Romay Ethiopian kitchen. I had the beef stew, split lentils, beets & potato salad & injera. It was flavorful, delicious, and super filling. I can't wait to go back and try more of her food. It tasted like a warm, home cooked meal made with lots of love !

Selam Ethiopian & Eritrean Cuisine - Awaze Beef Tibs tender and delicious!

Selam has officially become a staple in our restaurant rotation! We've visited multiple times, and…read moreevery single experience has been consistently great. We always order the meat and veggie combo (which is the perfect portion for two) and occasionally add an order of beef tibs. I highly recommend doing that if you're extra hungry. Everything is always incredibly flavorful, well-seasoned, and comforting in the best way. I genuinely have never had a bad experience here. The food is consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and it always hits the spot. If you've been on the fence about trying Ethiopian food, this is absolutely your sign to go for it. The combo platter is a great way to sample a little bit of everything, and it does not disappoint. The only thing to note is that the restaurant tends to have a strong incense smell inside. It personally doesn't bother me at all, but if you're sensitive to that kind of thing, they do offer a few outdoor seating options.

If you have never had Ethiopian, the meat and veggie combo is a great place to start and get a little of everything. Be prepared to eat with your hands and enjoy the experience. The Ye Beg Tibs are my go to. But there really isn't a bad thing on the menu. It's spacious with plenty of seating and a full bar as well. Recommend dining in.

Since our table wasn't ready, we spent about 20 minutes outside taking in the view. It ended up being one of the best parts of the night. Watching the zebras and giraffes roaming around at sunset felt surreal! Once we got seated, we started with cocktails. I had the bees knees, which was light, refreshing, and a great way to kick things off. Of course, we had to try the famous naan flight, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The breads included traditional naan, garlic naan, spiced naan, onion kulcha, and paneer paratha. The accompaniments were just as impressive. It comes with mango chutney, roasted red pepper hummus, coriander chutney, tamarind chutney, tomato date jam, cucumber raita, and a jalapeño lime pickle. It was fun mixing and matching flavors! For my entrée, I ordered the butter chicken with rice and lentils, and it was exactly what I was hoping for rich, comforting, and very flavorful. As expected with Disney dining, it wasn't spicy at all but still really satisfying. We finished with the giraffe dessert, a peanut, banana, and chocolate creation that was almost too beautiful to eat. The presentation was incredibly artistic, and it tasted just as good as it looked. Overall, Sanaa is such a unique experience with great food, great service, and unbeatable savanna views. Definitely worth it.

The servers are always very helpful and have that Disney level of service. I always recommend asking their recommendations for menu items as sometimes they will let you know of options that are not listed. The food is what always makes us come back here. I think it is virtually impossible to visit this restaurant and not get the bread service. In our last visit, we actually saw a family of three that in my opinion, did it right by ordering two bread services and a couple appetizers. The burger for lunch is a little different but very good and their seasonal salads are always fresh and delicious.

We went for the Thali, and it arrived like a feast--beautifully presented with a wide variety of dishes that felt both generous and thoughtfully prepared. The portions are no joke here; it's the kind of meal that keeps you going back for "just one more bite." What's even better is that they're happy to offer additional servings if you're still hungry, which makes the experience feel warm and hospitable rather than transactional. Flavor-wise, the food really shines. Each component of the Thali carries its own personality--rich, aromatic, and rooted in tradition. You can tell the kitchen isn't cutting corners when it comes to spices and authenticity. That said, a few items leaned a bit on the salty side for my taste. It didn't take away from the overall enjoyment, but it was noticeable enough to stand out among otherwise well-balanced dishes. All in all, it's a place that delivers on both quantity and authenticity. If you're craving a hearty South Indian meal that feels close to home-style cooking, Madras Cafe is definitely worth the visit. Come hungry--you'll need the appetite.

Lots of variety at the buffet with all dishes well seasoned and flavorful! I don't eat much African food, so a lot of the items were new but familiar flavors. My favorites were the Fufu and other mash next to it as well as the cabbage carrot stir fry. For desserts, honestly, they all were pretty good - gotta take a bite of everything! I would say the only downside is service is a bit slow. My niece spilled water and they got our drink orders mixed up, but I don't blame them since it's packed. Just don't expect people to be constantly checking in. They did remove finished plates pretty quickly though.

The lines were disorganized and the front desk staff yelled out RSVP names. We ended up getting sat ~15 minutes past our RSVP. The food itself was over hyped. It is a buffet so expect to wait in long lines if you want the meat items (steak, sausage, chicken etc). The service was fine and relatively fast once sat. I personally won't be going again since there's better options that are more convenient to get to if you are staying at a different Disney resort.
