This has to be the worse car service I have ever experienced. I ordered a vehicle with wheelchair capability. They never sent a driver. I thought it was because I did not order it ahead. I decided to give them another try and I order a pick-up at a designated time. At the pick-up time, no driver showed up. I called thirty minutes later, and they said there was no driver available. I never received a call or text message saying they would be late. With all the choices out there, why would anyone use this service. DO NOT USE YELLOW CAB IF YOU NEED A WHEELCHAIR RIDE!!!!!!!!! read more

Yesterday, It took me 15 minutes to reserve a cab through the automated call tree. Today, no cab showed at the appointed time and address. No call from yellow cab to say anyone was on the way. From whipping out my phone to getting into a vehicle, I got into an uber in 5 minutes. Thanks, uber read more

I made a reservation the day before I was leaving. I always use Lyft but for a 3:30 am pick up I thought Yellow Cab would be more reliable. They never showed up and when I called @ 3:45 they told me that they were looking for a driver. I called Lyft and they got me to the airport within 11 minutes of my call. I'll never use those unreliable assholes ever again! They should have no stars but I had to select one to post. read more

I reserved a taxi the day before for a 4:45 am pickup. I checked the evening before and was assured my reservation was in place. 4:45 am came, no taxi. I called and the dispatcher told me 10-20 minutes. I waited, no taxi. I called uber and got a ride in 15 minutes. Never got a call to explain/apologize from yellow. That's it for me!! Very poor service. read more

Yellow Cab #41. Picked up an elderly lady at HEB on 9900 Wurzbach. She dropped her cane on the curb. She didn't realize it, I caught up with the driver, told him about the cane. He asked the customer, she said yes. We both drove off, expecting him to turn around to pick up the cane. He didn't. I took a picture of his cab. He slowed down, waved me up. Asked why I took his picture. I told him I was going to report him. He said it was his business, not mine. Poor lady, gonna have to buy a new cane & get around without one until she gets a new one. What a jerk. read more

Yellow Cab - Taxis Near Me

Pretty ridiculous company quite frankly. We called, reached a call-center that obviously was not in San Antonio.. Who knows how many cities they're supporting. We ask for a pretty simple pick up, we're at the AT&T Center. Yeah they'll send us someone. We're waiting and we're waiting and we're waiting. The whole place is cleared out and we are the only people left, and we're waiting. We call them again and they say we're still looking for someone to come pick you up. Not the person is in route, or 3 stops away, but we're still looking for someone to even give it to. I looked at my boyfriend and I said do you think we should cancel it? And the guy on the other end of the phone goes great it's canceled bye. Well, I tried to give them my business, but apparently they don't want it. read more

Yellow cab has deff stepped up their game with the hailacab app!! I recently needed a lift to the airport at 5:30AM in the morning. I usually drive to the airport myself and pay the long term parking. Since I was going overseas for a month, taking a cab makes more sense economically. I searched high and low about the cab services in town and saw all these horrible reviews so I was really worried. BUT I didn't want to use uber or Lyft b/c I couldn't make reservation ahead of time. Also most uber and lyft drivers just use their personal cars to make money so the majority don't have commercial insurance! I really don't wanna risk anything! Nevertheless I decided to give yellow cab's hailacab app a try b/c I didn't wanna bother any friends to give me a ride at this hour. What made me choosing hailacab is that it seems like I could track the driver's location in real time and it would also tell me how far the cab's from me. So I downloaded the app and booked my cab one day before my trip. I received a confirmation email right away. But still I was worried b/c I didn't wanna miss my international flight. So I called yellow cab and was told my cab was confirmed. Then again you never know! So I got up really early that morning maybe at 4am and was prepared for the worst to happen. A few minutes after 5AM I heard car engine running, I went outside and saw a yellow cab! The driver said he was a bit early and asked me to take my time. I had two luggages and one of them was huge so there was no way that I could drag it three floors down. I only weigh about 100 lbs. So I went to ask the driver if he could help me with my luggages. He gladly said yes and went up to the third floor and helped me with all my luggages! My ride to the airport was very pleasant. The driver asked me which route I prefer to take to go to the airport and we also had a very nice conversation about my vacation overseas. The cab ride was $25 plus tip which seemed reasonable to me. Of course I gave a big tip to the driver! Also my bill was paid through the app so I didn't have to deal with money on the cab and they emailed me the receipt right away! The only gripe I had was that the cab wasn't very tidy. There were empty water bottles and other stuff in the cab so it seemed a bit dirty. If that could improve, I'd totally hail another yellow cab again when I need it! read more

Called for a cab 3 hours ahead of time. No-show. This was for a court date. Called 3 times, and was told each time that they would be here in 5 minutes. NOTHING! WORST CAB IN TOWN! NEVER AGAIN! read more

Absolutely WORST EXPERIENCE, they had NO clue about San Antonio or where to go. Wanted me to google the address

A year ago, I might've hit Yellow Cab SA with a one or two star review, but with the recent addition of the Hail A Cab app, I've found requesting a ride in San Antonio to be more and more simple each time. Now, don't get crazy, this isn't necessarily a cab savvy city yet. But, we are a city on the rise, and Yellow Cab is the leader of the taxi game. During busy times like Spring Break and Fiesta, you might not be able to catch a cab to save your life - just ask my friend who walked from Southtown to Monte Vista one night after a Fiesta parade... Anyway, if you schedule your pick-up ahead of time through the app, they'll arrive on time. At least they have for me so far. Plus, with the app, you can let them know if you only have a credit card to pay with to hopefully avoid the disgruntled driver who's stuck in a time warp and thinks plastic is a hassle (those dudes make me angry). read more

Never again will I call Yellow Cab. Over the weekend, we waited for 1.5 hrs for a cab that never came. We called at least three times to check on its status and were told each time that it would be about 20 minutes. We learned that each of the cab drivers operate independently and the Yellow Cab dispatcher is really just a middle man. The dispatcher can put a call out to cabs for your pickup request, but none of the drivers have to accept the job. So, the person you talk to when you call has no control over whether anyone ever comes to pick you up. When they tell you someone is coming in twenty minutes, that means absolutely nothing and you could literally wait forever. To me, this business model seems downright dishonest. Eventually, we decided to use Uber instead. The guy came in 20 minutes and the app tracked his progress the whole way so we jumped in the car as soon as he arrived. It was incredibly convenient, reliable, and cost-effective. read more

I booked a cab online for my aunt 4 hours prior to the time she needed to be a certain location. When I called to check the status 3 hours later I was told a driver still had not been located to pick her up and that there was no guarantee on pickup times. What! People make these bookings and rely on you to do the job you say you are going to do. If you can not complete the task let the person know so they can make other arrangement and not just be looking crazy. No worries though. I called Texas Towncar and they picked her in 10 minutes, got her to her destination on time, and charged less than yellocab. Just for reference, directly from their website: " Computerized dispatch taxi service with Global Positioning System ensures prompt response time." What a complete and utter lie. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was patched back through to the automated cue.I wouldn't give any stars if I could. read more

We made prior reservations for a handicap van to pick us up by 6:30. We checked at 6:40 and the automated machine told us the cab was on its way. We checked again at 6:50 same answer. Asked for the operator- and were told the cab was pretty much still a good 20 -30 minutes out given the traffic. We ended up cancelling our reservations and driving ourselves. Now I know why they have a two star rating. They are tota read more

Yellow Cab drivers are the most disrespectful and incompetent drivers. I will forever use Lyft and UBER over these drivers. They refuse you rides when they think they won't make enough money off of you. When you ask them questions about the short rides, they will ignore you and roll their eyes at you. read more

Service overall sucks. Gave up using taxis entirely after I almost missed two different flights (one international) from pre-scheduled yellow cabs being 15-30+ minutes late. What's the point of scheduling a day or more in advance if they don't show up period? Trying to frantically call the company to find out why the cab is late results in either being put on hold endlessly or being told "they're right down the street" which is an obvious lie when 15 min later they still haven't arrived. Bottom line, taxi companies are an outmoded business model with terrible service. I'm using Uber and Lyft more and more now and have had only good experiences. read more

This cab service was supposed to pick me up today. Well they showed up but THEY DID NOT STOP to pick me up. Their service sucks and they are suppose to help. I am disabled but ended up having taking the bus home. read more

This service deserves a "0" STAR! After booking for an immediate pickup I waited an hour, no show. A little later I get a text stating that my trip had been "cancelled", and if I still wanted a cab to call back or book via their app. Forget about it, I called 5 STAR Driver Network and was picked up w/in 20 minutes and had a great ride at a fair price, thank you James! read more

I called 2 days prior to request a early morning pickup for a ride to the airport. At the scheduled time the taxi was a no-show. I called and was told that the cab would arrive in 15 minutes. Don't bother with this unprofessional company. read more

Yellow Cab service is horrible and they should not have the Via contract for disabled citizens. At least the last eight times I scheduled a cab hours or days in advance to go to work and no cab came and then they automatically cancel the pick up. Terrible service. Reserved a cab two days in advance and it still never showed. Can't even get someone on the phone. Never use them again.

Worst experience ever! Driver seemed really nice told me he was from India in a little place called Null Bazar. I got off the taxi while carrying my daughter, he helped me take down my bags, when I unpacked I notice my laptop was missing!! I turned on my "where's my device" feature on my phone noticed my laptop was in Austin! Called the taxi service said they will look into it. I saw the reviews and it made me worry but two of the other cab companies didn't answer their phone on Saturday morning at 7 AM. Our driver was booked for 8:15 at a restaurant in Southtown (King William district). Our driver, Pablo, was there a few minutes early, got out and stood by the side of the cab waiting for us. We headed outside, he greeted us and grabbed our bags and put them in the back of the cab. Our driver was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the city. We were worried because the rock 'n' roll Marathon was being run that morning in downtown. Do you navigate it right around it and we had absolutely no problems. $28 from the King William district to airport. Great driver, clean cab and right on time. read more

We called a couple of cab companies on a Saturday afternoon. No one answered. We could leave a message on one. Yellow cab had an automated answering message, but it said a cab would be dispatched. Not knowing what that meant, I was nervous. However, about 15 minutes went by and the cab was there. Took a very direct route to the airport from the Budget/Cruise America spot. Was $10 cheaper going to the airport than the competition was taking me to the Budget/Cruise America spot. I would highly recommend using them. read more

I am incredibly angry with the yellow cab driver who arrived at my house at 3:50am for a pickup scheduled for 4am and repeatedly rang the doorbell at 3:50. Our guest was heading to the airport early, but other people were asleep in the house. Drivers should not be ringing doorbells. He did not even attempt a phone call before ringing the bell. I will not recommend yellow cab in the future. read more

The worst and most rude cab driver I have had in years. This is the reason Uber and Lyft are dominating the transportation market. Avoid this cab company at all costs. Don't ever use this service read more

I had to call neighbor last minutes to drive to airport. I reserved a trip from home to San Antonio Airport

Pathetic. Had to place the order twice, and still couldn't find the cross streets. Dispatch wanted to send a third attempt, with no guarantee. Awful. I don't even live here and knew where I was.... For better service, I recommend using Google Maps, listening to exactly where the customer is located especially when repeating himself multiple times to make sure you get it right, and relying on cross streets to target the address. I'll never use your service again. I recommend SA Taxis. The Drury called them for us to get us to a parade, and driver appreciated the work. Came back for us out of his way, as we were in serious need when Yellow failed. read more

Almost missed my flight to Boston for a business trip. I live near downtown. How hard is it to get a cab from downtown to take me to the airport. I had to load my luggage in my truck and drive myself and pay for daily parking for 9 days I would be gone. Half way to airport the cab calls. I kept giving them voicemail. They kept calling. Then half way there was a accident that had just happened already backing up traffic to airport. I really thought I wasn't going to make it now. Had I waited for the cab that accident would have made me not make it because the cab was already late. Had no time to spare. And my cab fair would have been even more then it should be. I'll never call yellow cab again. read more

Taxi was late for pickup to airport. Not a good way to start a trip. They should. E on time when reservation is made in advance.

Waited 2 hours. Still waiting. Not worth it. Worse service ever. Missed my friends bday. U suck!

Absolute worst service ever. GOD please provide a way for UBER to return. Waited 15 minutes for a van. Lady said one was coming and to wave down first van. Two women by road wave down our van. They take off. He was told 5 people. Called, complained, they are sending another, but already been 10 minutes. Horrible horrible service. Shouldn't even be allowed to operate. read more

We pre-booked two cabs to take us on a short trip from our hotel to the Amtrak station the night before leaving. One arrived and the second was reported to be 'just down the street'. We waited for 45 minutes. But for one honest, hard working driver, we may well have missed our train. He told us two previous drivers had accepted the job before knocking the job back because the fare wasn't big enough. This is not only unscrupulous but unprofessional as well. We are international travellers and this was a real sour note to end our time in the otherwise-lovely San Antonio area. read more

The dispatcher was very helpful and professional. I was in a rush and she said they'd have a driver to me in 15 minutes. Well, it was only 10 minutes and I was so relieved. The driver, Kris, was very polite and understood my need to get to the destination in a hurry. It was a very safe drive and Kris has a vast knowledge of history which made the trip enjoyable. I have their number in my Contacts because I'm sure I'll be using them again! read more

I normally do not write reviews about businesses, but this experience greatly warranted one. I have had much experience with Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles Yellow Cab serveries, but last week was a very morbid experience for me. My friends and I wanted a ride from downtown San Antonio to Uptown, with a request to stop at a 7-11 that was on the way for water and soda. The cab driver said there are no stops allowed (which I know is a lie), and the fair would be charged for a service charge of $200 if we had any stops. I was totally willing to pay for the cost of any detour of my request, but the driver was not having any of it. I demanded a stop at the closest gas station and the cab driver of asserted that a $200 surcharge would be added onto my fair because of the stop. $200 dollars is what they normally charge for drunken accidents, btw. This experience has not deterred me from San Antonio Taxi services, but it warrants a warning for anyone using the Yellow Cab service, specifically cab #155 for any type of service. We were not able to get the name of the cab driver upon request, so we cannot give a first name of the person to avoid. But please be wary of the Yellow cab taxi service in San Antonio due to their unfairness of charging and inflexibility in cab services. I hope this does not deter anyone from using the taxi service, but is, instead, used as a warning for any others using this service. read more

I witnessed a Yellow Cab cutting off a rent a car shuttle and continuing to causing more road rage slamming their brakes at the next lights while it was green, cab #69. This cab driver is a bad example to represent this company. These rent a car shuttles have families and business people from all over the world and this is the first thing they see when the get to our great city. I will recommend my friends and family to take other cab companies, Lift, or Uber. This was at 4/30/2017 at the International San Antonio Airport. read more

I would like to note that my first two cabs if the evening were very professional but the last was less than. Cab 148! We had a 7.50 (estimated) cab ride, i offered him a 20 and told him I wanted 11 back. He then told me he only had six. As soon as I informed him I would just pay with a card he magically had an abundance of change. Lost all respect for yellowcab and its drivers. The sad part is most of their drivers are the utmost professional. I will still never use their service again. read more

I gave this 1 star cuz the service is bad. Not only did the taxi made us wait for an hour but the taxi didn't show up.

I am extremely disappointed with this company. I am doing a few weeks of military training at Ft Sam Houston. I went out to dinner with some friends tonight, and we called this company to get a ride back to our hotel. When we called, we specifically asked for a driver that was able to get on post. Our cab driver showed up, and let us get in the cab. After we sat, we confirmed that he could get on post- he said he could not. His electronic screen in front of him specifically said we needed access to Fort Sam. We got out of the cab and called dipatch again. This same situation happened FOUR MORE TIMES. I finally got ahold of a manager, who also had four cab drivers accept the call before she found one who actually had access to Fort Sam. It was very clear these drivers were trying to take advantage of soldiers- they were happy to accept a call only to drop the passenger off at the gate, potentially over a mile from their hotel. Very, very disappointing. read more
