This 5 stars is for the driver Edward in a white Rav 4. He was excellent. If I knew I would get this from all drivers, I'd use Uber more. Edward was very personable, helpful, and funny. I really enjoyed my ride. Cavender Toyota sent me home and back by Uber while my car was being serviced. There was no way to rate him on the app, since Cavender ordered the service. read more

we reserved an Uber pet several days in advance for my girlfriend and her Service dog for a trip from Seguin to Austin and the timing was critical because she had to catch her connection on VonLane. Uber didn't notify us that they canceled the trip because the driver was unavailable that it was originally scheduled with, the appointment was scheduled for September 3, 2026 at 1:15 PM, they notified us that they were canceling it at 1:15 PM. Uber really left us hanging because we ended up having to drive to Austin. In order to make our Vonlane bus time at 4pm. why didn't they notify us much sooner so they didn't leave us scrambling to get to Austin? they deserve this one star and I wish I could give a review for the driver that canceled it. Usually Uber has been very good in the past, but they really left us hanging and disappointed this time. read more

Had a 6 a.m. pick up made the night before. Driver was 20 minutes late. Had to abort because I never would have made my Amtrak train. They still want to charge me $19.35 for the trip which lasted less than 10 min. before we had to turn around. I addition, I had to pay a $15.30 transfer fee to Amtrak. I'm out almost $35 and plans delayed. read more

OMG, was at the Menger Hotel/bar and placed an order for an Uber. I had to walk 5-7 blocks to find my UBER as the guy driving did not understand how to get to the Menger as the area is under construction. Truly asking why did he take the drive??? Next time I will drive or get the hotel to take me to the next bar. As taking an Uber this time I felt NOT safe and now my mental health is seriously compromised. I went back to my hotel and cried and did not go out the rest of the night and it was early, as in it was only 10pm but I was not able to trust Uber to take me were I need to go. read more

I will never try to use Uber again. The app is a nightmare and there are no telephone numbers to call for assistance. Uber is absolutely ridiculous. Lyft is a much better service. Uber will make you wait more than the 1-10 minute wait they claim for the wait & save option. In addition to waiting a long time for a ride to pick up, uber will send you rides that are 15+ minutes away from you! It's the most inconvenient transportation app in every way. The prices are also extremely ridiculous. If you have the option, GO WITH LYFT! Much better prices, quicker pick up time, gets from point A to B in no time! read more

Always a nightmare. I usually get triple-charged, and they have no customer service. This happens EVERY time. Back to Yellow Cab.

The uber app made so many mistakes today. I ended up driving for 2 hours and made 2 bucks. I called support 4 times today and even spoke to a supervisor named John who did not resolve the issue. The customer support is no support. They don't pay enough to begin with. Then their app and their gps makes mistakes and I'm supposed to just suck it up. Guys their are so many better options. Locked my keys in car and was trying to get home, 2 miles away. Uber app would not download/verify account. Language is in Arabic or some foreign tongue. Although I couldn't get the app to download and the email link to verify my linked email address, I was somehow able to "book a ride" with an unknown driver who cancelled my non-requested trip and charged me a ride fee and cancellation rate. My debit card had to be terminated because of the fraud stemming from Uber and its deceitful drivers. The photo below is the one attached to my Uber receipt for the trip I never made. Avoid Uber and this idiot at all cost--it definitely cost me. Should have hitchhiked. read more

I can't complain about Uber because of it's convenience and can't compare to other services having never used any others but the one time I had a problem with billing was having to cancel a ride because of a Dr.s office calling 30 min before my appointment to CANCEL. A dental appointment I had been waiting for for 3 months. Anyway the driver said he understood and would cancel from his side. When I checked my card later I saw the charge had not been canceled so easy enough I called my card company and explained the situation and they restored my account minus the bogus charge. I've had good experiences with the drivers and clean comfortable vehicles. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS UBER DRIVER JOHN-SEE PICS BELOW!!! I ordered an Uber ride from downtown last night (4-29-23), he took my friend and I to our destination and when he drove off I realized I left my coach backpack in his vehicle. I reached out to him and he confirmed he had it and that after his next drop off he would bring it back to me. Waiting for over an later and he did not show up. I filed a police report and contacted Uber, they proceeded to reach out to him and he DENIED having my bag. He lied to Uber, to the company that he shows he's been a proud respected driver for 4 years to! Uber closed the case and will do nothing further to help me. I had serval valuable items in my bag. It's a pink Coach backpack with some beige accents. A mini backpack if you will. A Coach beige wallet and other personal items were inside. read more

Dont know how the above photo is on MY REVIEW. I'M BRENDA M/ DRIVER "DADLY "ruined our family THANKSGIVING!! I ordered an UBER at 10:30 a.m. Thanksgiving day for my disabled adult son. He was coming from San Marcos to San Antonio to my home. When just 20 min away from getting here he was in New Braunfels I got a call from a Nebraska#(308)229-4186 ,I answered but Noone was on the line just a recording saying there was a stop. I called my son, he said the driver had to stop. I asked to speak to the driver ,I could hear him speaking in another language and driver refused to speak to me.My son said he didn't speak English, used a translator but not successfully!! DADLY had turned around and took my son BACK to SAN MARCOS and was told he had to book another car back to SAN ANTONIO! SO the $36 rate was upped to $68 and he wasn't here to spend Thanksgiving with us.This was our last chance to celebrate Thanksgiving with my son, grandson, nephews!! It's not just the drivers. If you have an issue with billing, you cannot talk to a person. I had 2 uber one charges, and all the (english as a third language) customer rep would tell me is that they had no record of the transaction. I provided a copy of my billing statement to them. So i reported my card as hacked. Imagine my surprise when the cc issuer told me uber had issued a credit for the June charge. The uber rep never mentioned that. Come to think of it, likely it was all AI. How insulting, While they must provide a phone number to credit card issuers, all you get is a recording saying you must go online. And you get nothing. I will never Uber again. As a retired General Counsel for a complex organization, i can tell you i would start an internal investigation over this pronto. Horrible fraud and worse customer service. read more

I would give Wilson, an uber driver, negative stars if it were possible. This driver was so rude and aggressive and caused me and two others to be extremely late to work for no reason. He's picked us up And he drives a Nissan rogue and one of us is 6'3 and it's hard for him to squeeze in tight backseats. He asked if he could sit in the front. The driver, rather than say no, starts griping And acting aggressive and saying no just get in the back. You're not welcome up here. So we scoot over and he gets in then suddenly he starts yelling get out! Everyone get out of my car!!! Then he canceled a quickly as possible so we couldn't rate him on uber. The San Antonio Uber drivers have uniformly been great folks. We've taken a number of rides including to and from the airport and all around town during our recent visit for Yelp Spring Break. The drivers were courteous, always called ahead to make sure we knew to look for them, and drove clean, safe and sound vehicles. As long as Uber is around, I'll be taking them whenever I'm out of town. Much better than any taxi I've ever been in. read more

As the city becomes more populated and standard ways of moving about are losing their relevance new modes of transportation are being introduced; or should I say reintroduced. The bigger question is which one is more efficient? Which mode is cheaper? Safer? The answer really is that as a tourist, visitor or a local you have to factor in simple mathematics. Is your destination via rideshare worth the cost including a modest tip? Without a doubt yes. Whether you use it to go to an event, downtown; as there is never seems to be enough adequate parking. Or the best possible scenario is that you decide to drink and want to play it safe Uber is a pretty reliable service. Basically you put the app on your phone along with the proper payment info. You pick a driver, pay and get picked up with in minutes. The Uber app is pretty user friendly, making transactions relatively easy. For example if you make plans it can give you in real time drivers available in your area. The only caveat depending on the time of day prices can surge. In addition depending on the size of your company you can request a bigger or a smaller vehicle. I know people that pool monies together to defray the cost of a ride. I must interject that the bigger the requested vehicle, the more the fare will be. In my opinion it's best to go with the smaller one, even if you have luggage. While Uber has many positives cheaper than a Yellow Cab, user friendly and convenient it has its share of criticism. The major issue: safety. I'm sure you've heard stories of Uber drivers engaging in inappropriate behavior. The wilderness that is competitive ride sharing is sure to breed some buffoonery. However I'm yet to have a totally bad experience. I suggest either way that you go in it with a friend or a group of people. Sure there are awkward drivers. Some that are quiet. Some that will talk your ears off. I distinctly remember one wearing racing gloves and gazing at their GPS as it were "Days of Thunder." Most of the time you get drivers who use the gig to supplement their main job. Even a statement of the times you encounter teachers moonlighting to make ends meet. In others words they are just like us. They're trying to get through their shift in one piece just as we are trying to get home safely. The city is growing but ways to accomodate it, in terms of transportation is very limited. Necessity is the Mother of Invention, so to speak which opens the door for Bird, Lyft, Uber and other future modes to persist. If you need to catch a flight, go to an event downtown but especially if you decide to drink/drive by all means utilize Uber. Depending on your destination it's much cheaper than a Yellow Cab. In our town you pay for something one way or another. Parking fare. Parking ticket. DUI. Ride share. Choose wisely. ps. One time me and my company asked a driver to do a donut in the street. Wheels were screeching, turning, making a circle. I thought to myself, "Now that's how someone should be dropped off!" read more

Two uber drivers canceled our ride AFTER we waited 15 minutes for them to pick us up. We lost out dinner reservation.

if I could, I would give a zero star review. I think I am finally done with UBER EATS. I very rarely ever use it for rides. About a year ago I canceled my monthly Uber One subscription because of all of the problems I was having with deliveries and drivers. They are hiring the most incompetent people to make deliveries that I no longer trust them anymore. They can't speak a word of English and I don't believe they're able to read or understand English much less speak it. My delivery orders are constantly messed up by either not delivering it at all or delivering to another customer instead of to me or just not showing up at the restaurant to even pick up the order. And then not send somebody else to go get order and they don't tell you about it either. I only started using Uber Eats because I normally get a few more discounts from them than I was getting from DoorDash. But the horrible customer support from Uber has convinced me to go back to using DoorDash from now on. I am an elderly person who is disabled and I do use food delivery service often. I'm also not really able to do as much cooking as I used to do in the kitchen. This service is extremely important to me and it's also extremely important that the company hire drivers who are responsible, conscientious, and able to speak to their customers. If I have a good delivery in a respectable amount of time, I always tip the drivers. And I am beginning to not do that anymore until after the food is delivered. I used to automatically just add it to the order. It's just disappointing that these services are taking advantage of seniors like myself. if you're considering food delivery, do yourself a favor and use anyone but Uber eats. read more

Better late than never.... We were in town for the 2017 Yelp Spring Break and spent 5 spectacular days in your lovely city. As out-of-State visitors, we decided against renting a car because we've successfully used this ride-sharing program in other cities even though many of the events were within walking distance from our hotel. There were several WTMC (Welcome To My City) activities or events which took us further out of downtown San Antonio. Other than our rides to and from the airport, we called upon an additional Uber 10 times. This time around, we were more familiar with the Uber app and could appropriately select the level of service which suited our trips. However, when we needed a larger vehicle to transport ourselves, friends and/or luggage, we did not hesitate to call for more luxury. All of our drivers were friendly, helpful with providing landmark or destination histories and extremely polite. We always felt safe and confident in our drivers' abilities to navigate through traffic and varying road conditions as well as their law-abiding practices. We gladly use Uber whenever we travel or where ever this ride-share program is available. read more

I am extremely disappointed on the service provided by UBER to Boerne Tx. We scheduled a ride since yesterday to go to the airport today at 4:45 and received a message of confirmation. Today we received a message that the car was on the way, that it was 8 minutes from arriving and then that it was 1 minutes from picking us up. We stood outside on the street never to see a car and could not find the name of the driver or make of the car that was supposed to come so we had to drive ourselves to the airport so we wouldn't miss our flight!! As ridiculous as it may be; we were already past security and at our bosses of gate when at 6:05 am We received a message saying "sorry no drivers available " WAY TO GO!!!! so July 2024 I had to go to the doctor and my insurance pay for Uber so they sent me an Uber to pick me up from my house. The lady that picked me up and got on the interstate. They didn't do anything so my neck to the doctor had whiplash I got whiplash for being a Uber. Driver and Uber told me that they can compensate me but Uber driver gave me whiplash. I would never recommend Uber to anyone. The drivers are horrible drivers they read as hell. The cars are filthy and old and nasty as hell. I reserved a ride to the airport yesterday with Uber. I have email confirmation of my reservation. They never showed up this morning. I waited 10 minutes past their scheduled arrival time before getting Lyft instead. But, Uber charged me a cancellation fee. There is no way to contact a person at Uber. So glad ride sharing is here to stay in the Alamo City! Remember when common sense told you not to meet people from the internet, and not get into cars with strangers? Now you can do both at the same time! I've never had a bad experience with Uber. I realize that there's going to be some one-offs, but the concept is solid. If you're worried about whether your driver is a murderer or rapist, check out their ratings on the app. It's better than a background check, because there's real feedback from other riders on there. Want them to get a background check? I think that's silly. You don't have to take the ride. Do you background check people who sit next to you on the bus? Uber can be a bit chintzy with the drivers, so I hear. They take a larger percentage than the competitors do. They can also take advantage of the riders, so I've heard. Just be careful with it. read more

Our mission was to get from the Marriott Airport Courtyard to the Marriot Riverwalk. The Courtyard wouldn't shuttle us there, so that normally would have meant a cab ride for us. But since we were travelling with our Millennial aged son, who has been pushing us out of our technological comfort zone since his Game Boy days, we didn't cab it over, we Ubered it over. He's been using it for a while, and he clicked a few things on his phone, and our ride was there in 15 minutes. The driver was courteous, and pleasant. He got us where we wanted to go for $22, he was a good driver, and we had no white knuckle moments. Uber would've got 5 stars easily had it not been for my last driver last night. She accused me of putting the wrong address in while I was trying just to clarify that I never put any address in, I moved the map pin. Then her the whole time just trying to calm me down by repeatedly speaking over me. Does that not sound like someone is trying to tell you to shut up tacitly, in other words? Well, that's what I told her, and then she threw me out. I couldn't mitigate it at all, just get out! Situations like this really make me worry about how safe your services are, because this is a clear indication of self management with lower than higher admission standards. I mean, your own system won't even let me tell you what happened because I didn't get charged anything. So now, a driver can just speak her peace to a passenger and throw him out; all she has to do is cancel the ride and it never happened???? You know, just because the city doesn't put you under the same chauffeur regulations, does not give you the right to just put drivers through letting them think they can just say and do whatever they want. Your drivers need to be managed at all times while they're representing you, regardless that they're billing a customer or just waiting for one. read more
