Yellow Cab makes a decent NYC style, Foldable, and consistent pizza. They're a national chain and…read moreI've had it on different islands and different locations and there's no deviation from the texture, tastes and ingredients. The pizzas are not overly heavy and I can easily eat an entire pizza, if I wanted to but I usually have about 4 slices because I'd like to eat other things whilst here in the Philippines. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that it was BOGO on this particular day so in addition to getting my favorite (Shrimp with garlic), I opted for the BBQ Chicken as my free pizza. The shrimp and garlic was perfect as always but I'd like to suggest that they have fried crispy garlic in a shaker, that would make it extra namit (tasty). That's also why I love Italian food so much, it's the garlic. I'm a chicken breast snob and the random chicken meat on the BBQ chicken was not hitting the spot, so I'd probably skip that next time. Yellow cab does a good job competing with Sabarros, Pizza Hut and Shakey's here. Now if someone opened up a Pequod's, Lou's or Giordano's in the Philippines - they would kick butt because no one would even come close.

Got the pizza within 15 minutes after that. It could have been good if it was hot. It wasn't even warm. Tasted so so. Had a consistency of rubber. Will pass on Yellow Cab next time. At a time when I was so used to Pizza Hut, Shakey's, Greenwich, and Domino's, then came Don Henrico's, and my first time was in Baguio, at their first ever branch, no less! There, they even place generous amounts of lettuce on the pizza as an extra topping. There's just something "extra" about Don Henrico's that I can't find anywhere else. Maybe it's because it's a very Filipino brand - though the food is Italian, it's very much adjusted to the Filipino taste. I love the blend of savoriness, sourness, and sweetness in the pizza sauce and toppings. And of course, the softness of the pizza dough. The ingredients are also quite used generously. The vegetable delight pizza is truly a delight in any branch I have tried, including MOA. They don't scrimp on the ingredients at all. Of course they serve pastas and rice meals as well, but it's really the pizza that's the star for me. The MOA branch is particularly nice as you can see the sea from there. You can walk to the balcony and look out while waiting for your order.

Yup, here in Manila restaurants close usually around 10pm, which is quite early compared to my country, Brazil. So sometimes I'm just hungry and craving for pizza late at night. What to do, then? Call Superman? No! Call Yellow Cab! Their delivery service is really good! I highly recommend it, specially at those days you are lazy and want to stay home in your pajamas binge-watching your favorite series. However, keep in mind they the menu have only traditional ingredients, like pepperoni, tomatoes, mushrooms, onions and so on. I mean, don't expect Yellow Cab to offer you gourmet artisanal pizza. If you want this high-end experience, then I suggest going to Gino's or some other pizzeria here in Salcedo Village. If it's ok for you to have simple but tasty pizza, though, I recommend NY Classic (pepperoni) and the Garden Special (fresh tomatoes, black olives, mushrooms, onions, red and green bell peppers).

It has a family-friendly vibe that you would not get to see in any other pizzerias here in Manila. Going to this place just brings back so many happy childhood memories. I remember I would always ask my mom when I was still in grade school to let me celebrate my birthday here. Shakey's Pizza is really popular for their deep-fried Mojos and their thin crust pizza. Their Mojos are so good, I could literally finish one whole box of it. The golden-brown color of their Mojos is already a hint that it has been deep-fried to perfection. It's crunchy on the outside, but soft and chewy on the inside. My personal favorite is their Philly Cheese Steak Thin Crust Pizza. It has the perfect combination of fresh and great-tasting ingredients. Just a smell of this pizza would make anyone's mouth water.

Everybody knows how delicious their New York style pizzas are. But Yellow Cab is more than just a…read morepizza place, so this time I would like to rave about their unsung heroes. For starters (literally), their soup is really creamy. My dad prefers the tomato soup while we love the squash. It's not super thick, but they have the right amount of broth and flavor. Then there's the pasta. It usually plays second fiddle to their pizza, but the Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta is really fantastic. The noodles taste good with the sesame oil and nuts. We tried something similar in a more expensive restaurant and it was not nearly as nice. Their baked potato halves is super sinful (potatoes, Mozzarella cheese and BACON) especially when you put sour cream on top, but we love it. This is my family's default place when we can't decide where to eat, or if it's too late and other dining establishments are already closed (they're open 24 hours).

Let me tell you, I've liked every single experience I've had eating food from Yellowcab is always a great one. Being the seafood lover that I am, I usually order their Roasted Garlic & Shrimp pizza and it is pretty much my favorite pizza that Yellowcab offers. My next favorite pizza is their Corona Chicken Salsa pizza! It's pretty much Chicken, tomato and mozarella, and they serve this pizza with slices of lime which you squeeze on the pizza..... and have a taste of one really awesome pizza. I can't put into words how much I love this pizza of theirs! And my third favorite pizza of theirs, when I want to eat something that contains purely vegetable would be the Dear Darla pizza! Other than pizza, my recommendations would be their Twice Baked Potato Halves, their Hot Wings, and their Charlie Chan Chicken Pasta!

Apart from their interior, their delivery vehicles are also yellow scooters. What I like about this place is their wings, pizza, and pasta. Their wings seem like they are deep fried and glazed with some kind of sauce. The meat is juicy and the chicken is crispy. Aside from the usual taste of fried chicken, it also has that mild spiciness. For people who would like it a bit more spicy, they have chilli pepper sauce that you can use. Their pizza is great. Their pizzas have a thin crust and are topped with your choice of meat and vegetables. My mom's favourite here is the New York's Finest because it's a combination of meat and different spices and toppings like olives and bell peppers. What I like about this pizza is that the toppings are balanced so they don't give that too meaty or too stale taste. Their new pizza, "The Dear Darla Pizza, is really something different. The pizza is also a thin crust pizza with minimal toppings. It comes with a box full of some kind of leafy veggie and some sprouted mongo beans I think..It's then sliced into rectangles. The way to eat this pizza is to get a rectangular slice and then put the veggies on it. The slice is then simply rolled. It's basically like a pizza burrito with vegetables inside. The flavour is really balanced. The sweetness and flavory of the pizza is complemented by the veggies perfectly. A wonderful place to get some wings and pizza.

It is actually a local fast food chain founded by three Filipino entrepreneurs. Its design is based on the black and yellow pattern commonly seen on New York taxi cars. When I would go visit my friend's house, we often buy food from Yellow Cab. It's convenient and their delivery is always on time. We totally love their Four Seasons, which has New York Classic, 4 Cheese, Anchovy Lovers, and Roasted Garlic. I love all of the flavors except for the Anchovy Lovers (because ewww; who likes anchovies). We also like ordering their Chips and Wedges as our side dish, which is covered in Cheese Jalapeno Sauce. Unlike most chips, this side dish is baked, not fried and has zero trans-fat. They can also doodle any drawings on your pizza box just for fun in case you want them to (so cute, right?)

The pizza has ham, pepperoni, Italian sausage, ground beef, salami and bacon. With a thin crust, it was darn tasty! http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/yellow-cab-pizza-makati-3?select=kqBIHdOq-yywnUA3wW0k5A http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/yellow-cab-pizza-makati-3?select=gQPocYWkNRpnti86aLM4KA The Calzone has ham, onions, green bell peppers, mozzarella and romano cheese inside. One nice thing is they cut it for you, which make it easier to eat I suppose. It's not filled very full (like others I've had) and the onions & peppers (raw when assembled) are only slightly cooked when done, which adds some crunch. For me it was just OK. More filling, more time in the oven and another flavor option would make it better, in my opinion. http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/yellow-cab-pizza-makati-3?select=EhSAEXAmsHCmu1Clwo-J6w OVERALL: A great local pizza spot which offers pizza, pasta and more. Motorino is located in the Greenbelt Mall and I definitely get lost trying to find it. This mall is huge! Since I was feeding 5 people, I got to pick an array of pizzas! We started with the Classic Marghertia! Look at the joy in my uncle's face! The pizza was quiet good. I wish it had more sauce and cheese, but the crust was on point. The sauce is a bit sweeter, but I honestly think everything is sweeter in the Philippines. We also ordered the Soppressata Piccante (personal favorite!) which had Fior Di Latte, soppressata, chilies and topped with oregano. My cousin ordered the 4 cheese with Fior Di Latte, Pecorino, Gorgonzola and Provolone. It was so cheese-y. My brother also ordered the calzone which was the table favorite. Inside they stuffed it with Ricotta, American Bacon and spinach. It wasn't as cheese gooey as I was expecting though, but ricotta will do that for you. You can hear my disappointment. Haha but it was still pretty good. At roughly 600 pesos a pie which is about $12 a pie, it's not bad. $12 a pie is the US is a steal, but for the Philippines, it's quiet expensive. Thank God I'm American!
