Despite all their efforts to solicit VERY positive reviews after I posted my initial one star review, this cab company still sucks...I'm just saying. Arian R. (the "owner") can make any comments he/she wants. That's one of the freedoms they have been blessed with in this great country. Here are some facts to marinate on. 1) Cabs are still dirty, 2) They smell of smoke and ashes, 3) the Samoan dispatchers still owe "Todd" the cabbie money that they borrowed, er, um...robbed from him. Arian R., you assume wrong in thinking I am "friends" with "Todd". So if he was fired, that's awesome! I laughed even more when he complained a week later saying his truck had been broken into while in your lot and how it must have been your Samoan dispatchers who stole his dvd player, laptop, etc. Keep the laughs coming, please! read more

Gayle and I now prefer to take BART to SFO from Pleasant Hill. We don't have to worry about the unpredictability of traffic, the ride is often shorter than driving, and we've learned how to stow our luggage and sit without significantly disturbing folks going to or returning from work. The only gap in this strategy is getting from Home to the BART Station. Sometimes, one of Gayle's Sons is available to drop us off, but on our last trip to Iowa, taking a cab on both ends, plus the BART fare was still significantly cheaper than driving in and paying for parking. We've also learned that that the cab trip to the Pleasant Hill BART Station is shorter and cheaper than to Lafayette. The system works, at least from Home. We call Yellow Cab to pick us up, and the last guy who took us was friendly, knew the way and even enjoyed chatting with my Son. Coming back home from the BART station is a little trickier as we've found a lot of variability at the head of the BART Taxi Line. read more

I wish I could give this review no stars at all because of the terrible experience I had. My boyfriend and I were taking a cab to SFO from this company and the driver legitimately hit the median while driving!! We were going about 50 mph down Pleasant Hill Road and he actually hit something. I thought I had smelled alcohol on his breath but my boyfriend insisted that perhaps he was just tired after a long shift and luckily neither of us got hurt. Looking back, I regret not getting out of the cab to call the police for this accident. Anyways, he was driving decent enough until we were approaching the airport and he started to swerve in the left lane on the free way. This man was not able to drive straight and kept running through puddles that he could not see. Even worse, when we called to complain about it the manager was horribly rude, insisting that there was nothing wrong with the driver even though he did not report the accident. Terrible service, I will never use this taxi again and hope that no one else does either so they do not end up risking their lives and have no support from management whatsoever. read more

1st off I will say the driver Domingo is AMAZING. Very polite and professional and my Mom enjoys him. That dispatcher Nemo( whatever her name is) needs to be fired ASAP. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. She hung up on my mother once and hung up on me 3 times in one day. Each time she lied saying we didnt speak with her prior. When I asked to speak with her supervisor she yelled at me, dropped the F bomb and hung up on me again. She told my mother they wont be picking her up anymore. I had two speak with 2 supervisors to file a complaint against her. Cant believe they have someone working there that hangs up and curses at customers. I'm sure she is the reason thier ratings are so low. Hire people who want a job. read more

One of the better cab experiences I've had in a LONG time! I was in a bind for a ride to the airport... pressed for time- I did NOT have the patience to wait in the queue with the first two cab co I called, but the 3rd time was the charm I guess! The dispatcher at Yellow Cab answered by the second ring and TOTALLY listened to me rant about how important it was that I get someone at my door in the next 20mins or I would need to move on to the next cab co! As calm as she could be, dealing with me in my paniced state, she took my info and assured me that there was a cab in the area and he would be there closer to 15mins!... Long story short my drive showed up ON TIME and seemed to be aware of my urgency; he jumped out of the car and load up my luggage and zoomed off to the airport - I made my flight and was able to keep to my engagements, as planned! Wish I could give this place zero Stars I wish I could remember his name but I've had to cancel a cab that I called at the Martinez Amtrak station because of a personal emergency. I called them and apologized. I get how that is frustrating so he said to me to go f myself in the whole word. I was a little caught off guard but I decided to just let it go considering that it was a low move on my part to cancel the ride. However he then called again! And he said that he hoped my daughter would crap herself to death because the reason for the cancellation was my daughter was in the bathroom and having bathroom issues and I was going to find another arrangement. For him to call and say that about a child to call me on my phone after canceling just shows a lot about his character and what kind of people they have representing their company unstable psychotic people that is beyond normal irritation. Then I could do not he called me a third time!! A third time I'm not kidding I wish I was lying. He called me a stupid b word the whole word and all sorts of other vulgar names and I then called the police and I hope the officer called him and I filed a report on harassment because that's exactly what he's doing. It is extremely creepy, psychotic, and inappropriate for a cab driver to call not once but multiple times a woman's phone wishing death on her child and calling her all sorts of sexist vulgar names. That is not normal behavior for even a cab driver. This was beyond normal irritation like I said. And this was definitely not okay to call me multiple times on my phone speaking to me and saying such horrendous awful threatening vile things. And especially about a child! I understand if you're angry with me but to wish harm upon my child? Dude you should be in jail! I really hope that the officer actually called him and I hope it shook him up and taught him a lesson to not talk to people however he wants to even if they do cancel it gives him no right. Because of this one employee? I will never ever request a cab from this company ever again they will never get a penny from me and I want it to be known what kind of drivers they have working for their company. This review is based on two recent events using their services, in early Dec 2013. I used to employ another Cab Co. in Martinez (Martinez Cab), and their service slipped from being excellent, to absolutely horrible, with no answering of the phone, to a direct refusal to come to my home. I'm a very pleasant person and always tipped well, and always had a good relationship with them. But apparently that has no bearing... On these two recent occasions with Yellow Cab (825-9292) they arrived promptly, with the dispatcher calling me (as I requested) to notify me when the Cab was out front. Both of the Cab drivers were extremely pleasant and very professional. These guys are my new go to Cab Co. read more

Generally I use this cab company for my early flight at 450. I've had the same driver many times and he's sooo nice. I'm pissed because the cab driver never showed up. I called the dispatch and he put me on hold twice and sounded like a repeating record. He confirmed with me 3 times that my ride is going to be there "any minute". I requested an uber and then the cab driver arrived 30 min late. It was a different cab driver than my normal one. My uber arrived 2 min after the cab driver. The driver argued with me and told me he was going to take me to bart however at this point i was already late for my flight and i couldnt go to bart and i was going to take the uber to SFO. I felt a little bad because he spent the money to get out there but at the same time i didnt care because he was 30 min late. I'm now going to wake up a little earlier and make sure i can get a lyft or uber. Cab companys - sorry, but stop bitching and get with technology, your services are much outdated for these times. read more

Requested Yellow Cab pick up a friend stranded in Martinez without his wallet. Yellow Cab only requested his cell phone for collateral for the fare. They picked him up within 15 minutes in Martinez and brought him to the house in Pittsburg. I paid with my credit card and was happy to pay the friendly driver a 20% tip! This Yellow Cab was fast, friendly and accommodating, I highly recommend them! read more

Probably one of the best cab companies I've ridden with so far. I called for a cab and it only took them 10 min. to get to my location. The driver I had was very friendly and got me to my destination quick. They keep their cabs nice and clean and don't smell musty like other cab companies I've been in. Zero stars I called over a hour ago to get a taxi still waiting... Decided to call back and check the status. The operator says the guy who was supposed to come get me is waiting for the cops cause someone didn't pay their bill. The lady on the phone was very rude and didn't even apologize for making me already wait 35 minutes longer then what they told me the wait time would be.... Then says it's gonna be another 45 mins additional on top of the hour I have already waited. I'm sooooo upset I will never use this company again and don't recommend anyone else does they are ridiculously unprofessional and don't care about their customers at all. DO NOT USE THIS CAB COMPANY. They are not reliable. This cab company is the worst I have run by. I called for a cab they said it should be there 15-20mins then 25 minutes later I call and ask when they would arrive they said another 5 mins. I then called 10mins later the said they were driving down my street 10 minutes later the can still had not arrived. Now 45 minutes after calling I had to call. Back and let them know that they were making me. Late so I had to call another cab company. And they no were no where near apologetic for making me late or accommodating but just said ok. I called more than an hour ahead of time, spoke to the very rude dispatcher, and requested an 8:15 pickup. He said fine. When there was no sign of them by 8:25, I called again. And he was exceptionally rude this time. Told me another five minutes. Can showed up at 8:40. No apology, no smile, nothing. And apparently hadn't been told where I was going, despite my telling dispatch three times. Their saving grace right now is that they don't have the child lock on and I can put the windows down in the back seat. Cause holy body odor, Batman. This is beyond potent. I called after I got out of the cab to let them know I was disappointed and make sure they knew how late the driver was. I'm a kind and courteous person. I didn't even curse. And he was NASTY to me. Thank you yellow cab for ruining a night I have been looking forward to for a very long time. I asked them to pick me up at a certain time expecting they would be 5 minutes late. When I called and they said he should be there in five minutes I said that was pushing it but ok. They called back the guy was stuck in traffic (at 3:00 on a Saturday coming from Lafayette???) and would be another 5 minutes or so. This is now putting us 15 minutes plus late for our wedding. I will never ever use this cab service again. I was told 20 minutes, Thirty five minutes pass by nothing. Then I called after I waited 45 minutes. I was met by excuses the cab blew a tire I was told, they didn't call nothing to tell me I was gonna be delayed. They said they dispatched another cab, waited another 45 minutes for him. I called other taxi companies but they would all had taken thirty minutes. I am late for work now because all I was met by was excuses. I scheduled four cab rides with Yellow Cab in Martinez, CA (ph's 925-372-9292 & 800-889-RIDE/7433) a week in advance. The first two rides were for 12/20-21/12 from the Amtrak Train Station to a motel 2 miles away and the next morning, back to the Amtrak Station. The second two rides were on 12/29-30/12 for the same destinations. I confirmed all four rides about 12 hours in advance. For the rides from the Amtrak Station, I again confirmed the pickup time an hour in advance because of changes in arrival times of the Amtrak train and bus. The pickup times from the motel to the Amtrak Train Station were important to make sure that trains and buses were not missed. For the Station pickups, Yellow Cab was 15 minutes late on the first pickup, and 10 minutes late on the second pickup. For the first motel pickups back to the Station, Yellow was 25 minutes late on the 12/21 pickup and I made three "where are you?" calls to their dispatcher. For the second motel pickups back to the Station, Yellow was 35 minutes late on the 12/30 pickup and I made five "where are you?" calls to their dispatcher. Each time I called for the above two, I would get a generic "he'll be there in 5-10 minutes". After several times of this, it was apparent that this seemed to be a standard reply to get me off the phone. I found out by listing to the driver that they had dropped off their prior ride at 6:20AM. Our pick up was for 6:30AM. He arrived at 7:05AM, so he was 45 minutes away. Our train was schedule to leave at 7:30AM. We made it with 10 minutes to spare. Too close for my comfort! Lastly, their telephone system has allot of static and background noise which makes it difficult to hear their dispatcher. Bottom line, I'll never use this company again and would never recommend this cab company to anyone. read more

The lady answering the phone was rude right off the bat. Then, she quoted us a 30-40 minutes ETA. We went outside to bring bags to the gate where the taxi was instructed to go. When he never arrived, I went inside (where my phone was charging) and saw I had missed 2 calls. I called her back and she said the driver says he was waiting outside but we weren't there. IMPOSSIBLE!! We went outside to look for him the entire time. Then she said, "Well, maybe you should have picked up your phone then." I am currently in the back of Concord Cab. Very friendly staff, when I called they were prompt and very nice. They seamed to be very busy but had time to treat me as a valuable costumer. We are new to the area and the driver was just awesome. Showed up in a timely fashion, and the cab smelled of fresh air and linen. The driver offered advice as to good areas to eat and go out for night life activities. The price was cheaper than uber and lyft which we've used in the past. I see that there are some bad reviews about this cab company. I'm not sure if they are real reviews or if the company has improved on the problems but my experience was great read more

I reserved a cab earlier in the day so when I got off of work, they would be waiting for me outside and ready to go. Unfortunately I was left standing in the rain wondering where the taxi could be, so I called their concord hotline to be greeted by a very monotone and unprofessional woman who sounded rather annoyed that I had called to begin with. When I explained my situation, she told me that she saw my request but they didn't have any cabs available for the rest of the night. I understand that she couldn't do anything but she was being rather rude and I definitely think they need to call the people who are denied a taxi so they can make other arrangements. Tl;dr Couldn't even handle calling me to let me know that they wouldn't have a taxi for pickup for the rest of the night. Won't be attempting to use this service again. I suggest Angel Cab Concord, they were quick and professional and picked me up within fifteen minutes of our phone call. read more

Here's a chronology of my one experience with Yellow Cab of Concord: Saturday night--went on line and reserved a pickup at my house in Pleasant Hill to go to Concord BART the follwing Thursday at 7am in order to make a flight at SFO. I used their online reservation system I completed all the info and when I finished, the system said I would receive a confirmation email. The website said if I didn't honor the reservation, I would be charged the fare in any case. Sunday night--had not received a confirmation email, so I called them. After a few minutes of looking, the dispatcher said, Oh yeah, we have it Wednesday night--called to make sure they had the reservation for the following morning. Dispatcher says, You already called. I say yes, I want to make sure you guys will be here at 7am tomorrow. Dispatcher, Oh we will be. Thursday morning-- 7am, no cab. 7:05am, no cab, so I call the dispatcher. She says the driver will be there in five minutes. 7:10am, no cab. 7:11am, I go online for an Uber. 7:13am, Uber arrives and we head for the BART station. 7:18am, Yellow Cab dispatcher calls and says the cab is at your house. I say, well I'm not because...dispatcher hangs up on me. That was "so long" from Yellow Cab to me and vice versa. read more

I booked a cab on sunday for the next day on Monday 6am which they were happy to do. Come Monday morning at 6:10 i called to check if the cab was coming. The lady said she did not have anything for my address. Do not book a cab they will drop you and then play dumb. Cabs only work when they are in front of you.
