Called ahead several hours for a pickup, specified time and place, driver (Brad?) confirmed. However when I phoned him at 10 mins overdue, he said he was busy with an out of town call and not available for a few hours. The guy just blew me off without a word, did Not call me, leaving me waiting for a cab that was not coming ! Totally unprofessional, and unforgivable. ==since writing this I noticed that he sent me a text, not seen at the time, that said sorry already booked....yet I spoke with him =after that = and he never said he'd texted me, and in fact reconfirmed our appointment ! so wtf. . .Bad experience all around. ==But credit where due - the driver referred me to a driver of another company, who in fact did respond on short notice with good service. read more

4am pick up in Walnut Creek for transport to Oakland Airport. Sukhdip arrived early, helped me load my bags in his trunk, and was very pleasant. His car was clean & well maintained. Highly recommend this service. It's a little more expensive than Uber but Alliance Cab won't cancel your ride & leave you hanging in desperation. read more

My husband and I needed transportation to a medical appointment from Rossmoor to Concord. A few days prior to the appointment, I called Alliance Cab to find out if we could use their service. The individual to whom I spoke told me to call the night before the appointment to schedule as their mornings were generally busy. I called as directed and was told to call the taxi driver himself. I did, left a message and never received a call back. I had indicated in my message that this was a medical appointment and was very important. Very disappointing. read more

Very happy with this cab company. Today was my second time using them for travel to and from medical procedures for my spouse. I do not drive so they help me be the designated "driver" for his surgery visit. The ride was booked the day before and we slept well knowing we would have good taxi experiences like last time and we did. All the drivers have been prompt, friendly people and their cars have been comfortable with soft seats and very clean. They use FasTrak transponders to go in the paid lane which got us to the destination quickly this morning and made the ride cost less due to the time saved. What really prompted to write my review though is the willingness of Alliance Cab to make the trek from Walnut Creek to Castro Valley for our trips to Walnut Creek and Martinez. I am extremely grateful their reliable transportation makes stressful surgery days a little less anxious. read more

We used Alliance Cab for a trip to SFO when we had to be there at 4:30 a.m. We've taken limos (when work paid :)), town cars and taxis before and I have to say, I really felt like this is the best service we've had! Brad was on time, courteous, did not complain about our mountain of luggage and the car was spotless, smelled nice and very comfy! Really, the car was as nice as a limo and did not really look like a taxi. I cannot believe that we can have this kind of a service for the price of a cab! We recently hired Alliance again when our son's grad night dictated a 3:30 a.m. pick up on a work night. Usually my husband or I would have not felt comfortable having a random cab pick him up in the middle of the night but we were so impressed with this service that we went for it rather than dragging ourselves out of bed. Alliance Cab - Taxis Near Me

Update to specifically address the comment on 22 March by Alliance Cab. I called Alliance Cab (using the phone number on their Yelp page.) They answered the phone and introduced themselves as Alliance Cab. The cab that arrived did not have an Alliance logo on the side, however. This review is not for another company. The car that arrived to pick me up didn't have an Alliance logo, which threw me off at first. It was raining heavily the day I used Alliance and I had to ask the driver to run the window defogger because the windshield had a visible space smaller than two dollar bills (the rest was fogged) and it was pretty obvious he couldn't see where he was going. The side windows never cleared, which wasn't an issue since the driver didn't use his mirrors anyway. The driver kept the car at about 12mph over the speed limit despite the rain and traffic that was driving more slowly. He honked fractional seconds after a light turned green and the cars in front didn't move. He also spent some time while driving reading text messages from his dispatcher. Not while stopped -- while driving. Which may be why he didn't need to defog the windows; he was looking at his phone anyway. When his dispatcher called, the dispatcher swore a bunch on speaker phone. The driver had to tell him multiple times he had a passenger. I had to say hello to the dispatcher, in fact, to get him to stop swearing. It really sounded like the driver and dispatcher disliked each other. But the thing that ticked me off the most was at the end of the ride. I could see that the driver was having a pretty terrible day so I was going to leave him a large tip. I have him $40 on a low-$20s fare and asked for ten back. He pulled out a way of cash and said "I only have a five." I needed to get to work so I left him with an extra $5 on the tip. Oh the plus side, the cab was clean, driver very friendly to me, and we got where I needed to be on time. I wanted to give these guys a great rating, but man, the driver was not really taking care with his window visibility to make sure that he had the visibility needed to drive safely in heavy traffic. And the thing is that to me a safe driver is the most important part of the trip. Ultimately, even though the driver was nice and courteous, I did not feel he was driving safely. read more

This was my first time using Alliance Cab. Everything went picture perfect. When I called the company to reserve a cab for the next day, my call was answered immediately (and not put on hold), and it was easy to make the reservation. The cab was there 1 minute early. The driver was polite and helped with baggage in and out of the cab. The cab was spacious and clean. The driver drove safely. When I called to make the reservation, they said that they will contract out if necessary, or something like that. The cab that picked me up had a different company's name on the side (I don't recall the name), so perhaps this reflects just as well on the other company, but what matters is that the company I called is making sure its passengers are treated well. read more

I made a yelp account to leave this review. I scheduled a cab to BART early in the morning. I scheduled the cab the day prior. I called when he was 5 minutes late. He had forgotten. He said I'll be there in 10 minutes. 5 minutes later he called and asked for the address and said some choice words and said that I'll need to call someone else. He said my next ride is free but I don't think I'll be relying on this company again. Hoping I don't miss my flight. read more

Alliance Cab has been a Godsend during a difficult period in my life. I am unable to drive during several weeks of physical therapy following surgery. I am unstable walking using a cane. Alliance drives me to and from therapy twice a week. Alliance is always there when scheduled. Their drivers help me get over curbs and walk to the door of my house or the therapy center. They even get me mail and bring it inside for me! I recommend them heartily. read more

I contacted Brad via email several days before a Halloween party in order to reserve 2 vehicles for our large group. Brad returned my email immediately and after a couple of informational emails we were all set. Brad was prompt, courteous and flexible when part of our group wished to make a stop on the way to the party. When pickup time came we called to be picked up a little earlier than our set time and he came right over. Phoned at the last minute for a ride to my doctor's office. Sean said he could pick me up in 10 minutes. Sean was punctual and very courteous. Vehicle was very clean. I deducted one star because the pickup address was misunderstood and Sean ended up 1/2 block away. After my appointment, I phoned again for a ride home. I'm the daughter of a cab driver/dispatcher and so try to support cab companies whenever possible. I also don't usually write bad reviews but feel that people should be aware of the poor service. I booked the cab the day before we were leaving for New York. When it didn't show on time, I called the company and was told, "It's five minutes away." Five minutes later, still no cab. When I called again, I was told that the driver was across town and had mistaken the time by an hour. I made numerous calls, was told that the driver would be fired, and then that he was 2 minutes away. 10 minutes later, the office insisted the driver was in front of my house (I live on a very small court) and he told the driver to honk. He refused to believe me when I said the driver was nowhere in sight. By this point, it was laughable. If it hadn't been for a neighbor who heard me yelling on the phone, we wouldn't have made our train to the airport. I will say that the company did offer me a free ride. They have a lot of positive reviews, so maybe it was just a bad day. Trying to make a living driving a cab these days has got to be tough. read more

Brad is the best cab driver EVER!! The cab is one of the nicest cabs I have ever been in, spotless interior, cream comfy leather seats, and it always smells good. He is always fast arriving, 5-10 min or he will call someone else for you, and I have never had to wait longer than the time given. If you can't drive and don't want to leave your car, he can have another driver drive your car for you for just double the cab fare. read more

Here's my story about Alliance. Steve phoned me at the scheduled 4 a.m. He was right outside my door. My alarm had failed to wake me. Steve had another pickup due after he would drop me at the BART. But he was maximally patient and kind--beyond reason. I was out in five minutes for a long trip--no time to really finish packing or preparing house for subletter. Steve, on the other hand, was solid as a rock throughout. Not only got me to the BART on time but carried my luggage, getting it quickly through the turnstile for me. What a GEM! Trust this company.
