Horrible. Waited 90 minutes for a cab after calling 5 times and they never showed up. If you're in the Milwaukee area, buy a bike. These cabbies suck no wonder no one comes here. They're a desolate island where no one comes unless they're taking Amtrak. read more

First and Foremost - I live in a large city and I take cabs ALL the time... to feel insulted and abused like I did with the 2 cabbies in Milwaukee makes me sick. Cab #203 and #700 were both disgusting in the fact that they demanded I only pay with cash. I only had a card because I am here on travel and must keep all my expenses. However the last cabby was a real jerk. Called me another ethnic group because he felt he knew me as well as insulted how I couldn't read the screen ... there wasn't anything to read. It did not say the total because he did not give the okay button and my fare jumped from $5.75 to $6.75 in 10 secs of waiting by the curb. He then demanded I leave collateral in his taxi so I can find an ATM to get cash out. It wasn't until the nice door man at the hotel was able to walk with me out to the cab, THEN he let me pay by card. He was a rude, inconsiderate jerk and I WILL NEVER use them again. They are a CO-RRUPTED cabs not Co-Op cabs! read more

If I could give them a 0 rating, I would. This morning, I found myself in a terrible bind. I had to be at work and my car wouldn't start. I don't have the kind of job where being late is tolerated. I called for a cab and they said they would put a order in for one and I should call back in 10 minutes to get a better idea as to when would arrive. I did just that and they said they still had no idea and no one has picked up the order. I tried again 10 minutes later, in tears, and was given the same answer. By this time I was getting frantic so I called a friend to help me. Thankfully, that worked. I called the cab company back and the woman was laughing as she picked up the phone. I could have been a real asshole and not canceled the cab, but I don't do that. And then to be greeted by this woman who clearly thought my plight was funny? I'll never call this place ever again. It is sad that you have cab drivers that do not listen last night I decided to take the cab number 329 and it was in the evening 9:30 to be exact. I gave the cab driver the address and told him the street that other cab drivers take and then he asks me to type the address on his GPS and told him that the street he needs to take he took the expressway and took me around in a circle. I told him what was he doing and why he did not follow the road I gave him his response was I'm following my GPS I usually pay 10 to 15 dollars this was not the case it almost 22 dollars so if anyone runs into this cab driver do not even bother to take that cab. read more

The dispatcher who works in the evenings is very rude and unprofessional. I called a cab at 5:50 p.m. She answered the phone very rudely and right in the middle of me telling her my address, she abruptly put me on hold as if she really didn't want to take my order. No sooner than I gave her the address to my location, she just hung up in my face without even asking me my name. 30 minutes later still no cab, I call back and repeat the address to my location 4 times before she tells me a cab was never dispatched! WHAT! I told them to cancel the damn cab and I called an Uber, who was there in 10 minutes. Will use Uber from now on. read more

Yellow Cabs come within the quoted time (ten to fifteen minutes) about 25% of the time. The remaining 75% of the time they are horrendously late, refuse to quote times, or simply don't show up at all. To be honest, the first ten times Yellow Cabs failed to show up at my house after I'd called them, I dismissed it as a fluke. I told myself I'd called at peak hours or perhaps they'd misheard my phone number. But when I foolishly continued to call, as transportation home after work when my car was being repaired or in a pinch when my other ride didn't show up, the cabs continued to be just as unreliable. I have even called every five minutes that I've waited to check on the status of my cab and heard that it was "on its way." Needless to say, after over ten phantom cabs and several missed events, I've just abandoned Yellow Cab for Uber. Each individual Yellow Cab driver I've met has been super friendly and committed. I don't know if the problem is with dispatchers forgetting to give the tickets to cabs or if somehow requests aren't time-stamped, but I would say call Yellow Cab as a last resort, especially now that new cabs are moving into the area, because odds are, you'll end up with nothing. read more

You never know what to expect, depends on the driver and the dispatcher. Most times are fine, the guys are nice as can be and other times I have had to wait 50 minutes and no matter if I call them, they say strange things and blame it on me. Other times they are respectful. A few cabbies were actually hostile and have locked me in the car and cursed at me. Some I know and are normal, a few will not have a clue as to how to provide a ride they are getting paid for. Decent cabbies just drive you and you pay, others go crazy and lose it, they are dangerous so always carry pepper spray with you, you never know what to expect or what they are capable of. My aunt was assaulted by a cabbie so everybody beware. read more

Ripped off by Ali in Cab 520. Turned off his meter, charged a (legitimate) minimum fare, then added lots of "extras", and didn't provide change. When we called dispatch to complain, he argued with the dispatcher, and the dispatcher eventually gave up and told us to file a formal complaint. read more

Dealing with this cab company was a nightmare. My cousin and I waited for an hour for a cab to arrive, despite calling 4 times and being told that multiple cabs would arrive within 15 minutes. When a cab finally arrived, we got an incredibly rude driver (Zane in cab 260) who lashed out at me for a mistake the dispatcher made in taking down my phone number. Apparently the first driver initially assigned to my call decided not to show up because he realized the number was wrong. No telling what happened to the cab that my cousin called. We ended up sharing Zane's cab, which was fortunate because it was a hostile ride I would have felt uncomfortable taking by myself. I tried to be friendly, but Zane gave me sarcastic, mean responses. So we took a cab down to summerfest. The response time was ok. We made it down there in decent time, but the problem was with the pick up. We tried calling and was put on hold for 20 minutes, then when I said our location (downtown) the dispatcher told me there was a cab in our area and hung up! After walking for another 5 minutes, sure enough a cab was coming down the street in the opposite direction and it was the same driver as before (he clearly did not recognize us) and made a huge hassle out of turning around to come get us. The cabbie was not nearly as friendly as he was on the way down there (probably after dealing with numerous drunks I'm sure) but was yelling at someone over his bluetooth. When we entered the cab we told him that we would be paying with a credit card and he said nothing, but when a card was handed to him upon our exit he literally started begging for cash.... CASH WE DIDNT HAVE. We gave him an 8$ tip on a 15$ ride but he still wasn't happy. A credit card is a valid form of payment and was an option...I get that they have to pay a convenience fee, but come on!! We gave you a huge tip after you were less than pleasant to us and it still didn't suffice. I will not be using Yellow Cab again. read more

This driver was the rudest person I've ever encountered. He said he was downtown and had to come get us and was not happy about it. We loaded up our own bags into the cab. He yelled at me that I had not shut the door properly. He then yelled at the lady from the hotel when she tried to explain their location (which was only about a mile down the same street.) DO NOT USE CAB NO. 507 (African Man with stump and heavy accent). Took a scary ride with him - reckless driver - the usual fare is $6 from the Pfister to Amtrak - I offered him my credit card - claimed he didn't have a credit card machine - then claims the machine wasn't working - I gave him $20 for a $6 ride and he refused to give me change. I spoke up and he threw me $2 - I spoke up again - he got angry and started cursing - threw me $10. When I called Yellow Cab I was informed this driver has gotten in FOUR ACCIDENTS! Why keep him when he has gotten in four accidents?? He is a walking lawsuit waiting to happen.... read more

I had an early morning flight and a snowstorm was hitting that was supposed to go until early morning. I decided to play it safe and take a taxi and called to schedule an early morning pickup. As soon as I said morning the line was disconnected. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called back, this time with a 5 minute hold. The same person answered and hung up on me again making it clear that he didn't want to help me. I called another cab company who help me with no problem. I have no desire to use Yellow Cab after that. read more

I was turned down by FOUR different cabs on Water Street who refused to take a credit card as payment. Ridiculous. And it's impossible to get through to dispatch on the weekends - and even after I've booked cabs on the phone, they often don't show up. read more

Got in cab 269 and told him my address...he then started to go in an entirely different direction. I asked him to to stop and go the right way and he said that if I didn't like it I could get out and pulled over and forced me to get out. This is by far the worst company I have ever done any business with in my entire life. This is also the first review I have done. They quoted us 27$ and we were ecstatic seeing as we had called 4 other companies with our lowest bid being "no more then 35" through Ortiz. Well our 27$ quote turned into 60$ give or take i believe we also tipped the driver. So I call and the first thing I get told is that i am wrong that the quote was never given and there is no proof so if I want to discuss this matter more then she will phone the police!! Are you serious? I then got hung up on twice then called back asked to speak to a manager who would not take the two seconds to listen to my problem she said that it wasn't her problem and hung up on me. I called back for the 4th time and then got explained how yellow cab has no supervisors working on the weekend. What how is this possible. Any ways I never want to take any form of public transportation again. Looking at the big picture it cost us 60 to get there 65 to get back at 125 after our original quote of 54$ plus tip being around 60 or if we would have gone with Ortiz 70. I took a Yellow Taxi Cab on Jan. 29. I was worried as I saw all the negative reviews. I took it during bad weather when other taxi places would not take a reservation. I normally never use taxis, but needed to be somewhere outside of milwaukee (Grafton) by a certain time. It was a very important early morning appt. I have to say I was so impressed with the driver. He came right on time and had me to my appt 20 minutes early. He was a nice guy. He talked kindly. I could understand everything he was saying and his driving skills were impeccable. He even said a prayer that my surgery that day would be successful. I have nothing but praise for this one time use of Yellow Taxi of Milwaukee! read more

I had poor experiences with this cab service several times. The first two they sent the cab to the wrong address both times. Then when I tried to pay with a card for a $20 fare, the driver refused to not take cash. Then I called for a cab on a Friday and they told me no info on when it might be there and after thirty minutes in the cold I ended up hopping on the city bus I hadn't wanted to wait for. It was very late last night at about 1:00 a.m. as I was hosting a party that ran later with my boyfriend. One of our friends who my boyfriend had driven to our house didn't have his car so I called him a cab. The cab was pretty fast getting to our house, about fifteen minutes. However, to my dismay, my friend--who is a handicapped veteran--texted my boyfriend and let us know that the cabbie had began hassling him the moment he sat down and all the way home as to whether or not he could pay because he was black. The cabbie actually said that... So, my poor friend had to ride all the way home being bickered at by a racist and judgmental cabbie with an attitude. Go to a different service, this one is not worth a penny if they don't even have decency. read more

I happen to be out with my girls, my one friend was really really drunk!! we called yellow cab and told that my friend was drunk and needed to get her home asap! They said ok we will get someone out there right away, mind you we have been kicked out the bar because it was 230am. standing in the cold and snow we saw cab 216# my drunk friend waived half heartly at this guy and he noticed us on the side there drunk! now on top of this we had now waited 40 min and every other cab just passed us by! The guy that stopped said to me looks like you got your hands full that was the great start of our bad night with this guy! i told him my girlfriends are really drunk and one might puke. this guy told me" hop in if she pukes oh well, she needs to get home!" i was like really if she pukes you dont care!!!? he said nope as long as you pay fair ill clean up LOL! so we had to go about 10 block away and he took his time so my gf didn't get drunk sea sick! so we got to are house and we got out fair was 11$ but he said just take care of your friend and just give me 5$, i said what!!!! he said you ladies got home safe we didnt answer to your call when you did and all these other cabs passed you, i will take the rap for you! 4 drunk girls out after bar close that would or could of been disaster! you girls just up there and get some r&r and heres my card if you ladies get left behind again or need a ride i will take care of you ladies! i said really!!! he said im sorry i didnt mean to offend you, i told him no no no you saved our but and you do again but we dont even know you! he stuck out his hand and said my name is ***** ma'am, i said im ******, he told me ma'am i spent 6 yrs in the military, and my nickname was caretaker. i do what others wont because i care about ppl not making big bucks, what does money mean, good ppl and great friend is his motto if there not around to share good and bad times then there not good friends or people! we all get thrown or put in a pinch, my job is to get ppl out of those pinches and enjoy the with no-one left behind! this cabbie in 216 on the eastside mke i know call him every time for a ride and is promt timely and i have great time every time i just called my gf to got out and she told me she was in the cab we took home the other night she was estatic so i told to male a stop over were i was at and he was shocked to see me i got in the car and gave him 20$ for her ride which was 15 dollars more than she owed he looked at me smiled and to be honest i thought a tear roled down his cheek! who ever lives on the east side of mke 216 take him over those stupid arabs! he is an all american white guy who is also pretty cute! hnt hnt single ladies! best taxi rides ever fuck uber or any of them i take this guy over anyone and so do my gfs. read more

My experience with Yellow Cab Co-Op is absolutely terrible. I left my phone in the front seat of the cab I was riding in. Immediately after getting home I realized this and I called the phone repeatedly including GPS tracking the location. This was about 10 minutes after being dropped off which matches the location my phone was tracked to. Then, the driver must have turned the phone off since it began going straight to voicemail. This all occured on a Saturday in the AM. Lost & Found does not open until Monday at 9AM and I was told there isn't a single person that can assist me until this time. Being hopeful that this driver was a good person, I called the Lost & Found on Monday. Nothing had been turned in yet, but they were going to identify the cab/driver I was in and get in touch with him. Being that the driver works 3rd shift, it is Yellow Cabs policy that they will not attempt to call the driver until after 4PM (that is if they remember to AND the office closes at 5PM). After this time, there isn't anyone that can follow up with the driver during his shift. It has been two days and no one at yellow cab has been able to speak with this driver. He doesn't respond to messages that are left for him whatsoever. I am absolutely positive that the phone was in the front seat of this drivers cab and he turned it off (there was plenty of battery) when I was trying to contact it. Even though it is not Yellow Cabs "responsibility", it should be the companies prerogative to take care of their customers. In conclusion, I do not recommend this organization if you are ever in need of a cab. read more

Why cab services are getting crushed by Uber & Lyft... Uber from MKE to the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown on Saturday night (10:30pm), 6/25 in a newer, clean Honda Odyssey = $19.88. Return trip with Yellow Cab Co-op from the Milwaukee Marriott Downtown to MKE on Monday AM (4:25am), 6/27 in a tired car with cab # taped to drivers headrest with clear packaging tape, an 8.5x11 laminated "credit card policy" (which was incorrect) zip tied and dangling from the passenger headrest banging on your legs as you get into/out of the car, and a rear passenger side window that was stuck 1/2 way down = $29.00 (without tip). That's 46% more for a dilapidated cab. Not to mention when the driver went to print out the receipt it came out blank so I was handed the "fill out yourself" paper receipt. Only reason for taking a cab was that I couldn't find an Uber available at 4:15am, so I guess the cab companies still have an opportunity in the wee hours. 2-stars just because they were available when I needed them. Both drivers were fine - no complaints there, but absolutely no comparison when it comes to Customer Experience. Thank you Uber. read more

you all have complains about cab drivers . drive fast , rude ,...,., but none of you know whats behind that . the driver has weekly rent to pay that is expensive . you complain about credit card . the company takes the money from the far .. 10% and you don't get your money till the end of the month . the money that you worked for the driver is slaved by that monopoly. just to let you know . it should be no 10% off the credit card and it should be no minimum charge on card . the only way to encourage people to use the cab and not to drive drunk . save life . read more
