I trust Rocky and his team at Yellow Cab. Great experience with high quality, clean, premium vehicles and on time pick up and drop off for all our drives to the airport since more than a decade. read more

I took the taxi service in a hurry because my Uber ride was cancelled several times. I ended up using this taxi service instead. The driver was very helpful, and I had a great conversation with him during the ride. I highly recommend this cab company. read more

To preface this review... I have not owned a car in two years given I've lived in the city so moving to the tri-valley w/out one kinda blew. I use cabs alot... hell I'm lazy and can afford it so why not. My three favortie drivers all work for this company and literally I can call them directly and get my cab right away. I've found their rates are cheaper than other crappy cabs in the area too. (literally my usual rate from my fav bar to home 17 +tip from them, from the "other" guys 26+ no tip cause i despise them). I have never once been left when calling these guys, I have never once been over charged, and the one time they were late I received a phone call appologizing for an accident on 580 being the cause. I was even able to arrange a preset cab ride on new years eve from these guys. All i need from a cab company is the following: 1. Dispatcher speaks english check 2. Driver speaks english check 3. Driver calls to confirm pick up check 4. Drives the shortest distance check 5. Clean cab check 6. Doesn't talk on phone or smoke while I'm in cab check 7. Puts up with me and my drunken friends with good nature check Hell my favorite cabby has even walked me to the door once when he let me off because there was a guy in my parking lot looking suspicous. I had to write a review for these guys after realizing I really did have awesome luck with them. Yes everyone will eventually have a bad day when they don't make their fare right away, and other drivers may not be the best, but for my guys I've even called them to pick me up from WC. So seriously ladies especially these guys are non creepy and really do their best to have good sutomer service. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would, they scammed my elderly mother. Dispatch told her one price, cabbie forced her to pay him another, they "claim" they tried calling her since the "price was wrong" yet there are no missed calls on her phone from them at all. Will he reporting them for elderly abuse. read more

Driver Rocky is such a pleasant person to speak with. I recommend him as a driver for anyone needing a cab service. I enjoyed speaking with him about his dog named Tiger. Great work! read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I needed to pick up my car after being serviced and I knew it was going to be at the end of the day. The car shop closes at 5:30 so I called Yellow Cab Co of Tri Valley at 2 PM for a 5 PM pickup. They took down ALL my information then said to call back at 4:30 and the cab would be at my house in 15 min. This was odd, they already had all my info, why did I have to call back? That should have been my warning, but I call back at 4:30 on the dot and they took down all the same info they had earlier. WTF? Plus, the lady was rude and did not speak English very well (not a big deal, but this can cause a lot of communication issues). Anyway, they said a cab would be there in 15-20 min. I wait around until 5 PM and the cab wasn't here, so I call them back. Lo and behold, the lady had apparently not gotten my number down correctly (or something, could not really understand her) and so tells me a cab would be another 5 min. 15 min later, a new number calls me. The cab driver asks me for all the same info again and then says "I'll be there in 15 min". At that point, we would have not made it to the shop on time and they had managed to ask me for the same info THREE TIMES without getting any of this right and FAILING to send me a taxi. After telling the actual cab driver to forget it since we weren't going to make it before the shop closed, he said "I don't know what's wrong with these people, they just give me your number and I call YOU". My question is, what IS wrong with these people? You had my information written down twice, and from the sound of it, a caller ID since the first man I spoke to completed my number for me when I was reciting it to him. You just had to relay my phone number, which you obviously HAD, to the cab driver and you STILL couldn't do that?! Keep in mind, this was after I called THREE HOURS ahead AND called back 30 min before they were supposed to arrive. TERRIBLE. I am so mad! Super disorganized and unprofessional. read more

Horrible experience I felt uncomfortable the whole ride... he was rude af and I told the phone operator my plans before he got here. If he didn't wanna do it he shouldn't have taken the call. This is why uber is taking over read more

Horrible customer service, extremely rude. After canceling service with them, they still send taxi, and after repeating to them that your are going with different company, the driver has the dispatcher call you back and yell at you, for not getting in their cab read more

I always see their all 9's cabs roaming all around the city when I'm in town. I called them, and much to my surprise the driver had cold water and a couple of magazines in the back! This has never happened to me before and I use taxis all the time in SF, so kudos to my driver, Jagtar. I might never catch him again, but I guess I got lucky. This definitely deserves a 5 star review. read more

The level of customer service I received from these guys was absolutely stellar. I was super worried about something going wrong while traveling to the airport whether it's traffic, me forgetting something at home or just something going wrong. They made my trip super easy, they were early, The car was clean and they got to me to SFO in less than 45 minutes. I'm definitely going to use them when I come back to the states. read more

Dishonest , they charged me $15 for short distance. When I used another Taxi company it only cost less than $11. Not mention very rude custom service. Never use this company again. Try to avoid it if you can! UPDATE I have received Mr. Govind feedback。He is very sincere . I do accept his apology. He even offer me money back and discount for next ride. I really appreciate it. I would reconsider to use this company again. We are all human and allowed to make mistake. For any business, it is very important to remember that every customer is a VIP, one costumer at a time. read more

Compared prices with a few companies and Yellow Cab offered the best rate. It was easy to reserve a ride & the driver was on time and professional. We engaged him in conversation and had a very pleasant ride. Making another reservation tonight. read more

Definitely recommend this company for local rides but more importantly airport calls. They transport to all three major airports (SJC, OAK, SFO). If you need someone at your doorstep at 4am, 5am sharp, they'll be there. I recommend scheduling an airport ride in advance if possible. Also, they are willing to pick you up on your return trip from the airport, so make sure to book both legs of your trip with Yellow Cab. read more

Don't use them in Livermore if you can help it...though Livermore has limited taxis services overall. I recommend instead Yellow CHECKERS cabs (925 777 7777), they have 1 driver in Livermore who's pretty prompt (except he's often busy between 2-4 pm) Here are my bad experiences: The first time I requested a pickup in Livermore, they took 40 minutes to show up. Second time, I scheduled a 3 pm pickup time in advance. But no one showed up. I called, they said they'd send someone. At 4 pm, no one showed, I called back, and got the response 'we have no cabs'. Never again. read more

I'm disappointed by my experience with this company. My driver was perfectly nice but the ride was about 16 minutes and cost me $40 before the tip. On top of that, I asked to go to Walnut Creek BART, and the driver brought me to Dublin BART instead, which meant I needed to do a transfer to get home. read more

Perhaps I may have just had a pleasant experience compared to the others here reviewing. I needed a ride to my house after my car broke dow. I didn't want to call my insurance and towing company since it might take them anywhere from 20 minutes to 90 minutes to come get me depending on how busy they are. In about 15 minutes, the quoted time, the driver pulled up to my rescue. It was only a short ride, definitely not more than 5 miles, so it was relatively cheap. The driver, Paranjit I believe, noticed I had a Giants hat on so we talked baseball during the ride! Nice guy but I think he's an A's fan, he took a couple jabs at them HA. Overall quality experience, maybe I just got lucky. Would definitely recommend them based on my personal experience. read more

Worst experience ever. I called for a 4:15am cab to the airport the day prior. By 4:30am, no cab showed so I woke my sister up to drive me. As we loaded the car, we noticed the cab was parked on the side of the house where we couldn't see him - he made no effort to show he was there or even explain or apologize. He must have sensed my urgency as we were late and drove erratically (after asking for directions on how to get back to the freeway - really?!? Customers shouldn't have to tell you how to do your job) and twice swerved out of his lane, causing other cars to honk and swerve out of their lane. I commented on it the second time and he said nothing, not even an apology. As we neared the airport, he didn't ask what airline to pull up to and I had to request he pull up to the sky cap as I needed wheel chair service (this shouldn't have been shocking, I have a full length leg brace and am on crutches). Rather than get a wheelchair as all other cab drivers have, he unloaded my suitcase and left me alone on the curb having to yell for someone to help me. I can't remember if the cab # is 41 or 42 but his name was Rakesh. If you're in Livermore and you can't get Livermore Taxi, you're better off walking. read more

HORRRRRRRIBLE !!!!! On Friday march 2 we called and asked how much z cab ride would be from Livermore to Dublin blv . They told us that would be between 15 - 20 dollars reasonable yes so we made a reservation for them to be at our address @7:30 am . They said thank you and would call us 15 min before arriving !! @ 7:38 I called them because there was no taxi & no call . They seemed like they didn't know what I was talking about and said they would call me back after taking my info a second time ! They called back & apologized stating there would be a taxi in 5 -10 min not having a choice I ok'ed !! 10 min later I received a call from driver saying he would be there in 10 min ! Showing up 7 min later I left w/ him I live right near freeway exit and he decided to go opposite direction !! When the meter then read 26 dollars I told him I didn't have enough 1 only had 27 dollars !! He left me out there and needless to say I had a 10 min walk to my destination !! Please don't use these people unless you plan on being late & lied too read more

Terrible service and questionable business practices. I was overcharged on a trip of less than 2 miles. The driver failed to follow basic traffic laws like signaling turns. He stopped in front of the parking garage driveway and left the meter running. When he had to move because a car was trying to enter the garage, the meter ticked up another fraction of a mile and made the fare higher. The driver refused to adjust the total. I will never use this company again and hope others will be spared the frustration and not patronize a business that doesn't understand they are in a service industry. (10/28/12) read more

The night before I called to make a reservation for an early morning cab to the airport and I wasn't sure I could find an Uber driver at such an odd hour out here in Dublin. The driver was late and/or didn't know about my reservation, so I called and it sounded like he wasn't even on his way yet. I was then asked if I could pay in cash, or if I wouldn't mind stopping at an ATM on the way to pay in cash. So basically after being 15 minutes late he wants me to stop at an ATM on the way to the airport to get cash out... The driver then has a very aggressive driving style which made me feel uncomfortable multiple times during the ride. The driver then started taking me to the wrong airport. Yup, so after already starting off late he then started taking me to SFO. Just thank god I was tracking my progress on Google Maps. But really, I made sure I was clear about Oakland International Airport, and my reservation said Oakland International Airport. Then when I alerted him of his mistake he says I told him San Francisco. The driver then did not reduce the fare after starting to take me to the wrong airport, this probably amounted to a $10-$15 overcharge. The driver then did not know how to work the square app or wanted to add the tip himself. At this point I was not going to tip. The driver then added on an extra $0.50 to the meter because he charged me the fare displayed after he spent a minute fiddling with the square app. And my driver took a phone call while driving, which I wouldn't mind if he were using a hands free device but he was not and as mentioned earlier he was driving aggressively so that was terrible. Overall this was the worst taxi experience I've personally ever had. I would not recommend this company to anyone and if offered free rides for life I would still decline the offer. read more

It was a dark stormy night... I had no where to go, and no way to get there. All of the sudden, I notice a bright yellow taxi cab from the corner of my eye. I knew at this moment it was my time to shine. I flagged him down (with a sense of desperation), as he gradually came to a gentle stop. I grabbed the handle and pulled with all my might (for I was weak at this time) and to my surprise... I was bombarded by kimchi flavored air fresheners, which reminded me of my homeland, North Korea. It was at this moment I knew it was destiny. To my surprise there were fresh bottles of water next to me (to quench my everlasting thirst). Then, the driver tirned around and introduced himself as Rahim who said politely "where would you like to go to on this fine rainy night?" I responded: "I needed a new start, a new beginning, so take me to to the nearest juice bar." Rasiq responded, "Aye aye captain." (I felt important and just like the captain of the titanic -before it hit a iceberg-) During the car ride we had a refreshing and deep conversation about his childhood in dubai, riding camels while skydiving off of donald trump`s personal jet. While I could relate by talking about my rice picking job back in NK. Once the magical journey ended, I was reluctant to leave because this was one of the most unique and envigorating taxi rides of my life. As we said our goodbyes, Wassid said "til next time my friend"... this was the cherry on top of this banana fudge dipped taxi cab, for I have finally made a friend. Just Kidding - but for realz, it was a really good taxi cab ride and I would definitely ride again! read more
