My Yellow Cab ride was from Bellingham to the Seattle area and was a medical transport. I sat quiet during the first half of the trip. Then I had to call 911 because the driver Geoffrey H. sexually harrassed me, made threats to remove me from the car onto the side of I-5, refused to use his GPS, called me names and had disregard for my medical condition or safety, and he intentionally drove recklessly on I-5 to frighten me. The driver shouted at me when I screamed in fear, he reached towards me sitting in the back seat and pointed his finger in my face while shouting orders and threats. 911 was on the phone with me for half the 80 mile trip to ensure my safety, they asked if Geoffrey had a weapon so he put something away in the glovebox. Reports have been filed with Yellow Cab, the hospital, and the police. I am traumatized. read more

Called the cab dispatch line to set up a pick up at the Holiday Inn by the airport. Laura was the dispatcher and set up a fare from the hotel to the Amtrak rail terminal. Then I discovered the train to Vancouver was sold out. I called back and spoke to Laura asking if a taxi could take me to Vancouver; she said the taxis do not cross the border but said she could deliver me to the border and give me contact information for a cab in Canada. OK. Then she called me back with a better idea! She told me about another bus service from Western Washington University to Vancouver. When the cab driver arrived too pick us up, he opened the trunk, got out of the cab, and then leaned on the back of the cab while he directed us how to load and reload, and rearranged our luggage. I've used Yellow Cab regularly for years in various states w/minimal issues. Regretfully that changed (for the most part) when I moved to Bellingham. During the day, I've had pretty good experiences. At night is a whole other ballpark entirely! I have repeatedly had the WORST experiences w/ a driver named Jeff. He is EXTREMELY RUDE, racist and sexist in every disgusting way. And definitely NOT aware that his opinions on everything is completely unnecessary and very off putting!! I have complained numerous times and requested that he does not get my business but to no avail. He is a pig and should be removed from any and every single form of customer service!! I may not be a "big" customer so I obviously don't matter to these owners. I definitely am taking my business (about $4,000+ per month) elsewhere.....I advise anyone else to do the same!!!!!!!! read more

I would give zero stars if it was an option. The few times I used Yellow they were late, dirty and slow. I know people who have worked for Yellow and I have never met the man who runs it but I know I hate him because of what I have heard from his employees. His fleet of cars is barely maintainted and his mechanics work in the mud. Blue Cab is the best in town. Who ever you use, make sure it's not Yellow! read more

I'd give them zero stars if I could. After being an Elite Yelper for 7 years, I've give out very few one star reviews, but this cab company is horrid. They always underestimate the wait time and the last time we used them was the final straw. I called them at 9:42pm and they quoted me 10-20 minutes. I wait more than 30 minutes (as I don't any to be "that pesky customer") till 10:15pm before calling to get an ETA on our cab. They say "We don't have that logged. Are you sure you called us?" Yes, I just hit redial on my phone so I'm sure. The guy was totally rude asked me who I talked to which I didn't know, and making it seem like this was my fault. I got his name & it was Brian & he said he'd put in the request it should be about 10 min. 20 min later our cab still wasn't there!! I called & this time spoke with Wayne who had no record of either of my calls. I said I just spoke with Brian. He put me on hold (I assume to speak to Brian), and was telling me he still didn't see it but that he'd put in a request, when suddenly he could see the request from Brian pop on his screen (how convenient! Obviously Brian just input it at that moment in time, more than 20 min after I'd spoken with him). We finally got in the cab about 15 min later. We basically had to wait for about 90-min for a 10-min drive. We were in town for another 2-days & took about 5 taxi rides per day which we took with the Red Cab company & My Cab Company. Much better service & no problems with those other taxi companies. read more

I've used them for several years and always had good/decent experience. Recently I called the night before for a prearranged cab to the Amtrak station. In the past, cabs have been five minutes late or so and that was no problem. A quick call to the dispatcher or sometimes a call from the driver would provide an ETA. This time I called and was told they were running about five minutes late. No prob, that's why I give myself extra time. Fifteen minutes after the prearranged time, no cab. Twenty minute later, no cab. Two calls to the dispatcher got me this response: We're late for very complicated reasons. We'll get you to the train on time. Then a call from the driver tells me he'll be there in five minutes. Ten minutes after that, thirty minutes after the prearranged time and fifteen minutes before the train leaves, the cab shows up. The reason they were late: Fifty people needed to go to the airport and that took five Yellow Cab vans. And this is my problem, why? I made a reservation for a reason. If they couldn't handle the number of reservations (mine or others) they should say so. It is not the dispatchers call to just say, "We'll get you there on time." I called for a cab at a specific time. If they can't do that, why bother? It's poor management and poor business practices. After four years of good service, one terrible, horrible experience has put me off them forever. In a town the size of Bellingham, I don't know if I have other taxi options, but I plan on investigating what those may be. read more

I called yellow cab at 11:40pm, at 12:30 they finally called me back saying they were getting a car over to me. Like wtf right? I decided to call red cab and 15 minutes later guess who showed up?! Red cab. From now on I will use Red Cab. Yellow cab has terrible customer service. The last ride I had from yellow cab the driver was totally rude and anti-social. Worst taxi company in the whole Bellingham area due to dispatch, not the drivers. Especially the guy who works on dispatch after 10pm on any night, he is the rudest person you'll ever talk to. He hangs up on people, cusses at callers, and sounds like he hates his job more than anything. It would be best if all the drivers switched to another company or if yellow cab just fired most of their dispatch people. Its not a hard job, they can find people with better customer service. I've done business with Yellow Cab many times over the last year. While the drivers are usually pleasant and helpful. However, I can't support them any longer. The dispatch is the worst. They are rude, condescending and if you ask how long it will be they are never even close. Tonight I reached my final straw. After a long night, I called for a pick up. I was ready to go but knew it could be 20 minutes or more. I told the guy my name, where I was at a and that I was ready to go. On many occasions when they have been my drivers they uplifted my spirits in difficult times. Melissa was my sole inspiration to quit smoking on May 1st. of this year. Yellow Cab is awful--I recently booked an online cab for the 5 am flight out of Bellingham, requesting the cab at 3:30. No cab showed up. When I called the dispatcher was unbelievably rude, yelled at me, and rather than apologizing suggested it was my fault (I was looking at my email confirmation at the time--it was their error). I asked for a cab right away. When none showed up I called in 15 minutes & got yelled at again. When I told the dispatcher I might miss my flight he said "That would be the result of your poor planning." (Apparently we're supposed to know they're not going to get the cab there?). I would give this company no stars if I could because our ride was cancelled. When we first called, the dispatcher told us 10 to 20 minutes. At 10 minutes we stepped outside to wait and at 20 minutes we called again. We were told they would send the next available cab. At 30 minutes when I called again they basically cancelled our ride because they had sent all the cabs to the airport. Why were we not told this the first time? This is why we will be seeking rides with Blue Cab and hopefully Uber Cab penetrates the transport business. read more

Warning DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! On two different occasions two different drivers short changed my husband by significant amounts! One fare was $6.41 after being given $10 he handed back $1. So he pocketed $3.49! Counting on the fact that my husband had to deal with our two young children. We are planning on making a formal complaint with the city. I've had mostly positive experiences with this company, pretty unfortunate for the other two reviewers. We often call up Yellow Cab for a ride downtown on weekend nights where we either started drinking beforehand, or we plan to drink to the point of not being able to legally drive home (Safety First!). After a quick phone call stating where you are, where you're going and how many people are going, they send a cab out to where you are usually within about 20 minutes. When the cab driver arrives, he calls you up and lets you know he's arrived and so we go out to our ride. I've always been one to make polite small-talk with taxi drivers everywhere in the world I've been, to make them feel better and also to dig for some quality local intel :) These drivers have always been open to sharing and have yet to meet one that was unsociable. I did have one experience where after minimally tipping the driver, he sarcastically thanked us for the tip. Kind of unpleasant of him; we didn't have any more 1s left :/ read more

I have used the online cab request service many times, usually for emergency purposes. The first time was 2 years ago when we uncovered severe black mold in our apartment and had to take our cat with us to a nearby hotel fast. The driver was helpful, carried our haphazardly packed bags to the van and was sympathetic to our cat's wild howls of terror. The second time was 1 year ago when I twisted my knee at work and couldn't even walk to the bus stop to get home. The driver was very prompt and took the quickest route to my apartment as I requested, Most recently, I work in Lynden and my car broke down the night before an early Sunday morning shift. I requested a ride online on their website the night before. The driver was in front of my house at 7:00 AM exactly, the van was warm and the driver (I believe his last name was Zimmerman) was very nice. Mostly importantly, we hit a hail storm and a huge patch of black ice on Hannegan Rd on our way to Lynden. The vehicle driving on the road in front of us spun out twice across the lanes. The driver of the cab stayed calm and cautious and drove the rest of the way without any mishaps. Not only that, but he got me there 15 minutes faster than it usually takes me to get to work because he used a short cut. I have no reason to dislike this cab service! read more

My daughter and I will NEVER use this cab company again! We're pretty much used to waiting upwards of 30 minutes for a ride, disgusting cabs and less than professional drivers. But Sunday was the last straw and I encourage anyone reading this to look elsewhere for cab service. Sunday my daughter called for a cab to take her home. Being that it was snowing she knew it would take some time, but she was waiting for an hour and a half! If that weren't bad enough she sees the cab finally come, but instead of picking her up he drives to the other end of the parking lot and goes inside a restaurant. Then when I guess he had decided to finally do his job and pick my daughter up, he was rude to her! Under no circumstances does a cab driver have the right to interrogate a customer about their personal business!!! I don't know what type of circus these people are running, but they've just lost two customers.
