Our favourite restaurant never disappoints. Always fresh and flavourful. Having the crab and lobster dip. Amazing. Chunks of crab and lobster in a smooth cheesy sauce Main of Canadian burger and fries with gravy. The burger patties are made by hand and you can tell. Delicious fresh beef with no fillers. Bacon back bacon and bacon jam. Oh my. Give the Squire a visit. You won't be disappointed. Way better than MT's. PS. Best French Onion soup anywhere. read more

Don't let the drab facade fool you, this is an amazing traditional Irish Pub with, of all things, great Indian food. It sounds like a weird combination, and it is but it works wonderfully. I had a very well cooked and generously portioned plate of liver and onions while my wife had a deliciously spicy and flavourful curry chicken. The ambience is pure Irish pub with stone, well polished oak, and adornments that highlight Irish culture. The wait staff were very friendly and, even though our group had over 8 people, orders were taken / delivered on time and correctly. Prices are comparable or better than any Kelsey's type establishment. Very satisfied and plan on going back when I'm in the area. Oh yeah, try their home made Banana Bread Pudding for dessert. I visited Ye Olde Squire on a weekend with a group of 12 and enjoyed it so much I brought my husband back on Tuesday. The atmosphere is typical of a British type pub restaurant. That is where the ordinary stops. Everything is fresh and made in house. All 12 of us thoroughly enjoyed our food. I had the Halibut & chips and I have to say they were mouth watering. The fish was tender and meaty. The crust was thin and crispy. Service was stellar and we kept our waitress hopping with drink orders and separate bills. She never missed a beat and was extremely pleasant and helpful through out. Everything was clean and inviting including the restrooms. I was al little nervous bringing my husband back a few days later, fearing I had oversold the place. I shouldn't have worried. We had a fabulous meal and amazing service. We will be back. read more

My favourite place to eat in Welland! The food is always very fresh and absolutely delicious. I've tried many different items on the menu and have never had something that wasn't amazing. Been here many times in the past . Last was maybe the worst dining experience if my life . First the plate was presented horribly food just piled on top of each other . The chicken was so soggy was clear it sat for a long period of time . When manager approached me after I complained she told me that's how it's served I need to give special direction . Been here many times never had food like that ever told manager I don't believe it my responsibility to tell a kitchen not to serve soggy food piled on top of each other and if this has become the type of restaurant where food of this quality is the norm then I will take my business to a restaurant that values the quality of food it is serving to its customers read more

Portions that will have you leaving full Lunch and dinner menu is preferred flavour wise. Good service and causal/ comfy atmosphere:) I have gone to this bar a few times since moving to welland and I can you this bar is definitely worth checking out I ordered the poutine and wings and was satisfied with my portions and flavour, a friend that accompanied me ordered the burger and was impressed :) food came warm, glasses came clean, server was professional and welcoming. read more

Semi good stuff - cold beer, unfortunately mostly domestic you'd think a pub that advertises itself as Scottish might have something from Scotland. Not so good stuff - food. Ordered Steak and Guiness pie. The bowl had a decent looking puff pastry swimming in a thin brown "gravy". No taste of Guiness just tasted like Bisto and boxed gravy. The few pieces of meat were tough and there were four small mushrooms. After fishing out the pastry, meat and shrooms the bowl still was over 3/4 full of thin nasty "gravy" - thats what they called it, I wouldn't, gruel maybe. My daughters told me to go across the street to MT Bellies, I shoulda listened. Might go back for a brew sometime, won't be eating there. read more

First of all I was looking at the menu in the window and an employee walked buy saying " on the new menu we put check marks on things we don't make and don't put check marks next to things we do make" he was referring to the way they put check mars on the new menu next to things they make in house. I ordered chicken wings, my girlfriend ordered the chicken club sandwich. I have never ordered chicken wings by the pound.. I got 8 chicken wings for 9.99... 6 drum sticks and 2 wings (I prefer wings)...for those of you that aren't good at math that's 1.25 a wing. I usually get wings at handlebar hanks on monday's or thursday for 0.35 a wing (Hanks parm wings rock)... so needless to say I wasn't impressed with the price... The wings were good but not that good. The club sandwich was ok for the price. Not great not terrible. BUT when we got the cheque they tried charging us for the club with cheese which was a dollar more. SO TO SUM IT UP The wings are a rip off but taste pretty good... Definitely not worth the money. They tried overcharging us for the sandwich. ALSO.. they charged 2.99 for a glass of Coke.. which is rough since I usually pay 1.39 for a 2L bottle. OVER PRICED Greed cost this place 2 customers. The food was not cooked right..I was there with 5 people and everyone got there food, before me .. they had all finished eating and then my food arrived.. and very over cooked . the waitress told me sorry it was the cooks first day. the bill cost me 160.00. Great food, fresh cuts fries and homemade chicken fingers, creaser salad had fresh homemade dressing!! Staff was super cute fast and friendly. Full bar ( now we are talking) 9 or so tapps, most were imports which is wonderfull in my books!!!! Took the kids back with us, kids menus were around 6 bucks came with unlimated drinks dinner and dessert. and they brought over crayons and colouring sheet always a bonus. my husband had the ribs with were fabulous homemade shashed potatoes, fresh chicken parm. hand battered and garlic toast. ok so i went here for the first time ever and i had the cajun chicken sandwich. the menu says it comes on a ciabatta bun, but they were nice enough to put it on a regular bun for me. i didnt ask for fires but it came with them and they were salty as all hell... and i cant even eat table salt. they gave me a diet pop when i asked for a regular pop. the server that we had was apparently the manager according to the receipt at the end of our dinner, she was a bit slow and it seemed like she didnt want to be there... but who does on a sunday evening? i got one of their shot glass cheesecakes, and it was gross... i am never getting one from there again. Before leaving the restaurant i had to go use the washroom, and it was gross.. both toilets had crap in them there was toilet paper and paper towels all over the floor, so i had to flush the toilet before i even got to use it. a gas station washroom in Toronto seemed to be cleaner then this one. and then their debit machine was having troubles taking my debit card, the waitress had to bring over a second machine just so i could use debit! like seriously clean up your act if you ever want me to return read more
