Cafecito Cubano time and maybe a cigar! So after lunch a coffee was in order and somehow we ended up at Cigars Plus. I ordered a cafe cortado and my wife had a glass of Moscato and a Mojito (in that order). I also picked up a few cigars. Our barista/bartender whose name starts with the letter "Z" (you'd think I would remember but alas it was hard to pronounce) was delightful and very friendly. Coffee really hit the spot and my wife loved her Mojito. Nice cigar lounge, only thing I was missing was a game of dominoes. Next time I'll ask. read more

I stop by here occasionally for a cafe con Leche and cigar from time to time. Always great service, some of the ladies don't speak english so translate app is a must. Unless you hablo Español., then you are all good. It is small, they roll cigars up front, and there is a dance floor so space is limited. Looks like they have live bands as well, I saw some instruments on the ground. The cuban coffee is amazing and they give you little sweet treats to dip in the mud. They also have a sugar packet setup with alternates for you sugar free weirdos! I will continue to come here and smoke me a fat cigar, sip some cuban coffee, and enjoy the people watching on the porch tables. If you're gonna be a bartender at a cigar bar, I suggest getting educated about the idiosyncrasies of cigar smokers. Because if you're gonna get upset that I used the bar guillotine cutter thats attached to a chain while sitting at the bar, then why have it there? If this is not ok then at the very least have a sign that says to ask the bartender for permission. Here's the thing, most cigar smokers do not like other people cutting their cigars or handling their cigars before they smoke it because there's a thing called Covid! Do you understand Isabel? Also don't get uppity or cop an attitude about showing you where I got the cigar... it's called a humidor for a reason and if you don't want people going in there and getting your cigars, then lock it or put a sign on it to ask the bartender before you walk in there and choose a cigar. If you want be a bartender at a cigar bar then at least make the time to learn about some of the customs and traditions of the cigar community. read more

It's been a while since we have been here, but I like the changes. When we were last here they only served cappuccino (strong Cuban style). Now they serve wine and some other cocktails, more sitting areas and a band area. He then ordered a Modelo as their beer selection is very limited. They can probably make you any mixed drink you would like. We stayed for awhile and watch the television. A group of 3 random people stopped in and were loud and very unkempt. Lets just say it was obvious they do not take care of themselves daily. So, they eventually left as they did not purchase anything and no-one else in the bar wanted them there so it was good they left. That is the only problem in this area is the homeless (who usually leave you alone) and the panhandlers who can be very aggressive. We would definitely return. First off, there seems to be some confusion in the photos section for this establishment. All of the pictures are for Metropolitan Cigars (with the Arturo Fuente sign), which is across the street from Ybor Cigars. Now on with my review... We stumbled upon this place by accident one day walking around after a movie at Centro Ybor. I was surprised to see a tabacalera sitting in the window rolling up some maduros, so I had to go in and see what the deal was. What we found was the owners (Orlando & Paolo) greeting us with open arms like we were some long lost friends of the family. Paola took us into the humidor when I snagged up some aged maduro and then we went to the bar and some drinks and smokes. The mojitos were excellent, and the wifey rather enjoyed their sangria. My cigar was surprisingly good. Usually, when you get these smokes from these small mom n pop type cigar shops, they tend to be lack luster and under-aged, but not these. The atmosphere was fun as well. They played some Latin tunes on a karaoke machine and have some guys playing on some congas over the music to give a somewhat live music feel, and Orlando and people in the bar take turns singing. It was unique for a cigar shop. Because of the atmosphere, we celebrated the next few New Year's Eves there. Good times. read more

Styled like a typical cigar shop found on "calle ocho", in Miami, this place had it going on. Since it was late we didnt witness the live performance, so instead we found ourselves on stage playing around a bit with the tambores. Julie will assist you in choosing the perfect smokey treat, There is a gorgeous, long wood bar, a row of tables along the wall and a humidor. You can watch them roll the cigars right in the window and take a photo with the cheesey cut out of a cowboy or Latin dancer.
