I enjoyed my experience here. I stopped here for a cigar smoke during a Saturday evening stroll in Ybor, the hostess Melissa was fantastic. The lounge is very comfortable, cigars are very reasonably priced, and they have a nice coffee bar. Melissa was very friendly and attentive. Great vibe at this lounge. read more

I was in the area and was told it is famous for cigars. This had the highest reviews and I am glad I came here. The girl who helped me was super nice and helpful and I left with some cigars as gifts. I am not a fan of cigars and struggled with all the smoke inside and people smoking. read more

You must go here if you are interested in cigars and/or authentic Cafe Con leche. The shop has been in the family the current owner for generations and he is a wonderful historian and guide.0 Great selection of cigars in the humidor, also a place to learn more about the history of cigar making in Ybor City. Visited this shop about six or seven years ago, and while staying in Clearwater I had to visit again. I was impressed the first time, and this second visit did not disappoint. Grabbed five cigars from the humidor, and my wife sat down at the bar and ordered a cafe con leche and a bottle of water. Got to talking to Iordani (spelling?), the owner, and he made it a great experience. Stayed for about an hour and a half, and he, and a few regulars, made it a great experience. He is very proud of his shop and loves his family. Great guy, great experience. Gifted us a couple of shots of rum, poured me a cortadito, and even a medium strength cigar. I can't recommend this place enough-will definitely return anytime I'm in the area. read more

Lots of great cigar options in Ybor City, this is at or near the top. Fresh cigars being rolled as you sit and relax in one of their comfortable leather chairs. Friendly service and great atmosphere. I didn't try the coffee, but everyone else was so I'm sure it was good! This is my second trip in a few days and always a stop when I come into town! read more

Quick trip to Florida to visit our son and my cigar buddy back home told me I had to go to Ybor City for cigars. Choose to visit Nicahabana Cigars and was extremely pleased. Hand rolled local cigars by very knowledgeable and nice folks. Can't wait to get home and enjoy them with my friends. Also enjoyed a great cup of espresso and a café con leche for my wife. The decor was fantastic and the coffee was amazing. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because of the two old men playing dominos who kept SLAMMING every single tile they were playing. When we play we only slam dominos if you have a good move or it is your last one. But these two old guys slammed EVERY SINGLE ONE! And this went on for the entire 60 mins we were there. It was bearable in the beginning but after 15 mins it was like water torture. read more

Man, this quaint cool Cigar & Coffee shop in historic Ybor City is Class Ybor, from the welcoming bar area, to the cozy & comfortable seating, to the incredible pictures & photographs & art of classic Old Ybor saturating the walls, makes this spot on 7th Avenue a great place to meet friends, enjoy a great cup of coffee or yummy latte, have a stogie, & absorb the diverse clientele & culture that makes Ybor City the most unique destination in all of Tampa. The owner Jordani is the most affable & friendly person to talk to, & treats everyone like a friend. And, his hand rolled cigars made in house are some of the best cigars I have ever smoked, for 1/3 the cost of name brand overpriced cigars. No alcohol served here, but there are plenty of places up & down 7th Avenue to drink. Go to them before or after patronizing Nicahabana Cigars. We need to support the local Mom & Pop Ybor City businesses, as corporate entities are looking to buy & control all of Ybor City, & strip it of its rich history & culture. Go to Nicahabana Cigars, even if you don't smoke. It's just a fantastic place to hang out at in Ybor City. read more

A wonderful family owned cigar shop in Ybor City. They hand roll cigars on site and it's cool just to watch as you explore the store. Super friendly folks who point you in the right direction and ensure you make the right cigar selection based on your taste. They also offer cigar rolling shows for private events. Mail order and internet order is a nice benefit if you happen to find cigars that you like, but don't live in the area. read more

Originally I was on my way to another cigar place, but considering there seems to be a cigar store every ten feet on this street, I stumbled into here thinking it was a place further down. By the time I realized it, I was already by the humidor and I didn't want to be a jerk and turn around and walk out, so figured, what the hell, grab a cigar, sit at the bar and get a drink. Decided to get one of their house brand cigars. Small but good selection. Mostly house stuff but some other name brands also. What I thought was a bar, was more of a bar top with coffee available. Guy working asked if I wanted coffee (of course) and asked if I wanted con leche and I said "sure" at that point I was open for anything. It was the best coffee of the trip. I can't get this kind of stuff where I live, but this is one of the reasons I wanted to move to Tampa, like, now. Still think about it. Great stuff. Anyway, I wanted to get another con leche, but I knew better. It was getting later in the day and I didn't want to be up all night. The cigar was good, service was friendly, and I'm hoping to make Tampa a regular visit so this place would be a regular stop also. read more

I was a little disappointed when I went no one was there rolling cigars. I purchased the cigars to take back to California to smoke with some friends. I'll follow up with that later. I did go down the street and found someone rolling cigars and was very interested in talking about his job. That is what I expected. read more

Easy to find this fine Cigar cafe. It's a different look in general. Two cigar Indians at the entry welcomed me in with very high ratings on yelp. Staff and customers are friendly, a good way to enjoy a well made maduro torpedo. They have 4 rollers on site who are very skilled and happy to answer all your cigar questions. The furniture is welcoming as well. Hector made my cigar that had a very good burn taste and draw. The lounge area is bright and cool. 3 televisions along with table games and magazines help to pass the time on a lazy Saturday afternoon. Music is a blend of traditional Cuban and American music. This place is outstanding! Prices for hand tolled cigars are great. I had a double maduro which kept getting better as I smoked it. The cigar was very well constructed and burned well throughout. The service was second to none. Dani took great care of my friend and I. He makes a great cafe con leche! I'm in Tampa a few times a year and look forward to coming back again soon! read more

I am certainly no aficionado but I've tried just about every brand out there and know what I like and the cigars at Nicahabana are absolutely amazing. As good as any Fuente, Patel or even Cohiba. The Maduro are rich and smooth with lots of flavor and no harshness. Love the extra touch of adding loose tobacco leaves to the bag when you buy cigars. I live I Houston so I probably won't be back for quite some time but thank goodness for online ordering. read more

Stopped by to smoke a 1926 and that is what I did. It was very early in the day, so no one was in the place. The guy helped me with my smoke, open me a tab, and the bartender made me an excellent hot Cuban coffee with milk. I sat outside out front and smoke that baby to the nub. It was a Padron cigar which arguably is one the best cigars ever. The coffee was fantastic also. Yeah I will definitely be back if I'm in the neighborhood. But I tell you this, the neighborhood has gotten sketchy. read more

A friend took me to this area for something different along with finding a great place for a cigar on Saturday 10/3/20.As we walked into this place the cigar room is immediately to the right,we entered and quickly struck up a conversation with a guy who has been coming here for the past 7 years so he helped us find a cigar we might be into.I picked out something mild my buddy picked out something a little more on the potent side.We ordered a Cuban style coffee sat down and enjoyed a great cigar along with a coffee.I would highly recommend this place people here are friendly helpful. read more

This is a tough one to review, I'm giving it four stars because the cigars and coffee are both wonderful. It is after all a cigar shop. The ambience is also very cool. My reluctance is that my experience with the staff was not all that good. The lady who helped me was totally in different to me being there. This was a little irritating because no other customers or were in the shop. There was however a lady sitting at the rolling table sending messages on her phone. Neither seemed very happy that I was in the shop. read more

I don't smoke cigars. I sometimes purchase them for family members who do smoke cigars. That's why I came here - to buy famous Ybor City hand rolled cigars. This place was highly rated on Yelp, and Yelp did not steer me wrong. I got three cigars for my uncle's birthday, and there was a dude off to the side rolling the cigars, plus everyone who worked here is Cuban I think. So. I'm fairly certain they'll be good cigars. I do like cafe con leche, which this place also serves. Ordered some and it was very good. If you are a cigar smoker and a coffee drinker, you should come here. It's on a cute little street in Ybor City. read more

I was in Tampa for business and wanted to visit Ybor City. I'm a cigar smoker and I could not wait to experience the cigar shops in Ybor City. Nichabana was the 5th shop that I visited and it was by far the best. It felt like home. The staff was great and very accomodating. They knew their handmade products well and were able to help me select a few cigars that would match my palate. The coffee selection was great and the setting was friendly. It was not a "touristy" spot. I will visit again and I will definitely tell friends to stop by. read more

I've been coming here for 2 years now. I've always felt like I've been part of the family that's operated this establishment. I live in Orlando and travel 45-60 mins to restock on cigars even though there's a Corona cigar 3 miles from my residence. Upon walking into Nicahabana Cigars, you will be greeted with a warm welcome. The staff is extremely friendly and a hot cup of Cafe Con Leche is to die for. A true taste of Cuban culture. All of their cigars are hand rolled there and are of the highest quality. If you haven't paid a visit here, you definitely need to. You will not regret it. Just got around to finally smoking my Nicahababa, and it was great! I have smoked Cubans, Dominicans, Nicaraguans etc.... This one had a little of each. It was the best cigar I brought home to Cleveland from Ybor. Hopefully I'm fortunate enough to make it back and restock. Great smoke! Saved it for a sunset. read more

What a wonderful spot to enjoy a fresh hand rolled cigar and coffee. The staff here is very friendly and willing to help you decide on type of cigar to fit your mood. This visit was my second time here and after visiting some of the other shops near by, this is my go to spot. If you only want to stop in to resupply your humidor or relax with some coffee and a fresh cigar, this is the place to go. read more

It was happenstance that I stumbled upon JR Cigar Outlet (was actually on Busch Boulevard after stopping at Level Up Cigar Lounge to find that it was closed). Sitting off Busch Boulevard (580) and being easily accessible from both west and eastbound directions just after/before the railroad track crossing, JR Cigar is conveniently situated close to the I-275-Florida-Nebraska-trio throughways. Honestly, I feel that it's a great location for those living just north of Tampa and the USF-area. I was initially discouraged by the word "Outlet" in its name (implying that it was more of a retail venue as opposed to a sit-in spot) since I was looking more for a lounge to sit and enjoy a cigar, but was happily mistaken after discovering that JR Cigar is more than that. I came on a Saturday evening to find plenty of parking. There are two rows - one that is right up against the establishment with the other row backed up to the sidewalk of the Busch Boulevard. Upon walking in, I was politely and warmly welcomed by Julio. It is notable that I did not get blasted by the usually strong smell and smoke of cigars as I entered (yes - kind of a weird ask for a cigar lounge and perhaps it was due to the fairly tame crowd), but I could also assume that JR Cigar has a pretty outstanding ventilation system. The setup of the main floor offers a natural flow, with counter seating that wraps around a bar at the center of the venue. There are a variety of lounge chairs and sofas to either side of the bar which are then complimented with TVs, creating smaller grouped areas. Immediately to the left as you enter, you will easily be able to distinguish the cigar room itself with the entirely see through glass panes and windows. It was nice to see that this was its own separate humidor room as opposed to having the cigars sit in the open lounge area like Corona Cigar Company. There is definitely an active management system that is maintaining the appropriate levels of climate to ensure the quality of the products within. There is a vast selection of cigars that are neatly organized and maintained. Additionally, the pricing of the selections is incredibly competitive (arguably some of the best prices I've seen), with clearly marked sales as well as promotions in sections both in the humidor room and the open lounge areas. The vibe was entirely chill and friendly at JR Cigar. It seemed that most, if not all, of the patrons there were established clients. Everyone seemed to be super friendly and inviting. Julio and his team were incredibly wonderful, serving beverages and providing knowledge and advice when it comes to picking out a cigar. Overall, JR Cigar is a great hang out spot if you're looking to simply enjoy a cigar or if you're seeking some social interaction and conversation. I highly recommend to anyone that is looking to try a cigar or those experienced veterans!
