Great humidor, great value, great clientele, great customer service, great atmosphere... What else do you need?

The first time I was in this store, there were a bunch of misogynistic old guys (customers) lounging, but kind of dominating the space... stuffy. The staff was not very inviting and on edge from the moment I walked in. Probably because having loud old farts like this in the store creates a bad vibe. When I asked for help, the staff barely responded. lol It seemed like they couldn't concentrate. Shocker. Seemed like a great selection of Cigar's but unfortunately, I won't be coming back due to the negative and unwelcoming environment. Make sure you have decent people in your establishments people! It's super important!! What a shame. read more

Am writing this after reading a few reviews and need to weigh in on a few things. 1. Any comments regarding racial discrimination at this lounge is BULLSHIT. I'm a Black man and I have been treated with respect and dignity from my very first visit (over 2 years ago) right until tonight. I suspect it's because when I come here I treat everyone with respect and dignity. You have to give respect to get it. That's not news if you were raised properly. 2.if I have to make or take a phone call, I step out of the lounge. No one needs to hear my conversations and I don't want anyone to hear them. That's not a new custom, it's just good sense and good manners. 3. I have literally smoked cigars all over the world. Cutter's etiquette is no different than any other place I've frequented. 4. Snooty is not an adjective that applies here. This place is open to ANYONE that knows how to act as a gentleman or lady- anyone. 5. If you can't understand any of this, then Cutter's is probably not the place for you. Finally, this is a great lounge. The friends I've made here cross the color spectrum and are just good men. Four of them literally saved my life. This a shop filled with good people. My advice, if you're a jerk, go somewhere else. I don't want to smoke with you. read more

These guys are so helpful on my annual pilgrimage for my hubby's Christmas gift of fine cigars. They have the best selection of premium cigars and offer their expertise as cigar aficionados. Thanks again and I'll see you again soon for his 80th birthday celebration in April. read more

I went to this shop on back-to-back days, the first day being my first time in the shop. On my first visit the salesperson was nice, inviting, and even offered me coffee and to fill my personal lighter free of charge. I thought the cigar selection was great and pricing good, so I decided to come back the very next day. On my second visit I entered the shop and noticed a different gentleman (older w/ goatee) behind the counter. He was not very inviting and borderline cold and stand-offish (giving me the kind of look you get when you star at a man's lady a little too long). I told him I was coming into grab some cigars and he said ok (not, " ok, great... let me know if you need any help). As I was walking through the humidor he walked in not offering any assistance and giving me the impression he thought I was there to shoplift or something. Unlike the guy the day before he didn't offer me coffee, but was polite enough to offer to cut my cigar once he saw I was in fact not there to rob the place but actually wanted to buy cigars. Oh well, I'm not ready to completely write this place off, but one more encounter like I had today and I will completely blacklist Cutters Cigars, no matter how good their cigar selection/prices may be. Good customer service (like I got on my first day) should be consistent no matter who's behind the counter. Period! read more

Great location with an ample lounge and great staff. Always feel welcome. They have an awesome walk in humidor and a large beer selection. Came on a weekday afternoon; wasn't overcrowded. Great spot to sit and enjoy a good cigar. They also have a small outside area to sit if you'd like. I have added this spot to my list for when I'm in town. read more

THE GOOD: 1.) Rather large selection, can't think of a cigar line I knew of that I didn't see on their shelves. 2.) Look alive, Nat Sherman fans, selection is HUGE, but............. THE BAD: 1.) If you're not from the area, place may be hard to find; GPS takes you around and around and around; was ready to give up last week, when I thought I'd check the SIDE of a beat-up strip mall, and there it was-signage rather poor, I thought. Whew! Found it! 2.) ............. Prices, despite store's low-rent location in "Hillbilly Country," were remarkably HIGH. I'm pretty sure I paid LESS for Nat Shermans' at their 42nd St. townhouse in Manhattan, believe it or not. They seem to be dying in the humidor, though, as the brand probably never took off in Florida as many boxes were covered in dust. Store may be ripe for a NAT SHERMAN "bogo" sale, though it may not do much good. If store had a mailing list, I'm sure it would help attract buyers from outside the area. THE UGLY: Sorry to let you down but there ISN'T one. Glad i came, guy behind counter was very helpful, happy with my purchase.- Will revisit next time I'm in area, no matter what. Nice place. Have stopped in before. Purchased a new lighter. Most cigar that sell lighters, don't have fluid in them. Once you purchase a lighter they fill it. I asked to have it filled and the salesmen put some fluid in but didn't fill it. It's the small things that matter and it mattered to me. A lot of other options in the area so I guess I'll stop at those places. read more

THEEEE BEST PLACE TO SMOKE A QUALITY STICK!! Great group of people there, friendly and inviting. Huge inventory of cigars, pipes and pipe tobacco, plus all the accessories one could imagine. They have a great beer selection and you can order food for delivery from nearby restaurants. They are expanding the shop so it will have even more room. Try it one time and you will be hooked. My new spot to take my friends and just chill is Cutter's Cigar. There's only a couple of spots in Tampa that I like to actually hang out at, and Cutter automatically became one of them! My first time there I bumped into old friends from the Plant City and Seffner area and met the owner in there amazing walk-in humidor. Clearly, this business is his baby! And that, as a cigar connoisseur, makes me feel at great. The conversation was entertaining and the time spent at cutters became unforgettable. I now frequent Cutters to hang out and I also stop by to pick up stogies on the run.. and even if you're a bit further than Brandon it's totally worth the drive. A great place to catch a game and enjoy a nice smoke. They had a really good beer selection and friendly service

The owners are amazingly helpful and accommodating. My first time was on a Friday and was invited back for a all you can drink/ eat seafood boil the next day ,Great atmosphere. I've been going back every other week every since. I strongly recommend them for some one new to cigars nice selection, some one new to town or just looking for a great atmosphere to hang out and smoke a good quality cigar. read more

I really like this place. Alex is a knowledgeable man, and the events he hosts are usually spot-on (looking at you, Nat Sherman). There's always a good beer selection. On a hit tampa night, they keep the doors closed which causes the smoke to pile up, but when the doors are thrown open it is much better. read more

This shop has a great selection of cigars, but the owner Alex, leaves very little to be desired. I have only been there twice, but the last time that I went there (back around June 2018) Alex seemed pretty standoffish when I went to try and shake his hand. Didn't even get a "Hello" or asked "How can I be of your assistance" today? Sayings like that go a long way when showing people skills which this owner really lacks. He acts all cheery when interacting with other certain customers, but not everyone. Believe me, I am not the only one in town who has noticed that because I know some friends of mine who have visited Cutter's before and said that would be their last because of him. Alex, when you demonstrate that type of behavior, it shows patrons that you rather not be bothered or lack interest in your job. You act like we need you. No you need us. You need us to help your business generate revenue so that you can keep your doors open and when you act like you don't want to be bothered, your customer base starts getting significantly low and before you know it, your out of business. So if you ever want me to visit your establishment again, I'm gonna need you up your people skills and show that you care about customers' needs and be more interactive. Until then, I'll just start spending my money at other cigar shops where the owners obviously take a genuine interest in doing there job. I hope he reads this review too. read more

DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS Cutters Cigar in Brandon. THE SERVICE IS BAD. THE OWNER BELIEVES THAT PEOPLE ARE OUT TO SWINDLE HIM OUT OF CIGARS IF YOU GET A BAD ONE ( OR MAYBE IT WAS JUST ME). AFTER PROVING THAT WE BOUGHT THE BAD, PADRON 1964 ANNIVERSARY $15 CIGAR FROM HIM, HE ESSENTIALLY CALLED ME A LIAR SAYING THAT HE WOULD REPLACE THE OLD SHRIVELED CIGAR,BUT NOT BECAUSE HE BELIEVED THAT IT WAS PURCHASED THERE. He went on to try to tell me why he knew that I was lying. I of course left the cigar there and promised that me nor any of my friends will ever return to this establishment. My husband and I have frequented Cutters since it first opened, telling our friends who are also cigar fans about the place. It's not the best value in town, but it's closer than our usual favorites. My husband decided to purchase cigars on Friday from this establishment because we like to support local businesses when possible, and again, it was closer than my earlier recommendation: Thompson's Cigars in Tampa. My husband and his brother purchased a Padron 1964 Anniversary and a Rocky Patel 92 for a birthday celebration on Saturday. He opened the cigar and it was shriveled up and unraveling. He attempted to smoke the cigar but it continued to unravel. To make a long story short, I went to ask them to replace the old, raggedy cigar and the owner basically called me a liar and all but refused to replace the cigar until he felt that he had to cave in. Ultimately, I didn't take the " I'm going to give it to you but I don't believe you , guilt trip cigar." I left the cigar there where he can shove it ! read more
