It's a man cave. I like it because I like men and I like being around men and I am married to a man. Seriously, Cigar Castle has a really nice rotating selection of craft beers served up as pints, and a beautiful collection of scotch, bourbon, and other whiskies - it's a full bar. We are semi regulars here because it's pretty close to home and the beer selection is so great. The service can be spotty at times, which is annoying. But I would say that we are well taken care of over 50% of the time, which is why we keep going back. I like the man cave atmosphere (cigar smoke, giant ashtrays, bar servers showing cleavage, group of men sitting on couches smoking cigars) and the quiet jazz music in the background. It's nice when you want more than a dive bar atmosphere - as long as the server notices when you're ready for another beer. read more

Lowest cigar prices I have found in the Bay Area. Nice bar selections, maybe add a few more Rye but overall a good selection. The staff is very helpful and the lounge has enough space to social distance, including the long, and I do mean long bar. I will return. I located my new hideout. read more

So an old Air Force buddy of my dad's told me about this joint a few months ago. We decided to check out the customer appreciation breakfast that they do once a month, and I've gotta tell you, this place is solid! Let's just look past the fact that they whip up free omelets and waffles for their customers once a month. Let's also look past the owner, Atul's, wicked moustache. And what we have is one of the larger open box humidors in town, full of all the favorites, as well as a ton of uncommon smokes. What we also have is one of the largest selections of whiskey and beers on tap (50) that I've ever seen at a cigar bar, hands down. In fact, this could be a whiskey bar first, and a tap house second and cigar bar third. We normally hit up Tampa Humidor, but I think we have a new favorite now. My only reservation though, and the reason I'm going with 4 stars instead of 5, are the prices. They are a bit on the high end. And I'm talking smokes as well as liquor. If they can figure out a way to be a bit more competitive, this will be the #1 cigar destination in town. read more

Straight chill mode!! I am not a smoker, but I have frequented some cigar bars in the Bay area lately. I will say this "Castle" is in a league of it's own. It is not as spacious as some of their competitors, but it gets the job done. Their is a large selection of cigars in their walk-in humidor. I was like a fish out of water in there. However, it can be considered cigar heaven to some. There are a few televisions that are mounted on the wall in front of some oversized leather chairs. Cigar Castle also offers a full liquor bar and beer on tap. They do have happy hour all day with 2-4-1. If you're looking for a relaxed spot and not too crowded head on to the "Castle". Grab you a gar, a good drink, plant yourself at the bar or allow the overstuffed leather chairs to comfort you as you, unwind, de-stress and chillax while catching up on conversation or watching a game. Plenty of great cigar bars in Tampa, and this place blitzed em in about every important area. Size, selection, and comfort at every turn. The cigar selection is huge, yet I could find a great chick cigar. Nice selection of lighters, blah blah blah. The overstuffed leather chairs remind me of Tampa Humidor, but the exhaust system seems to work slightly better here. The liquor selection rivals any whiskey bar, and the craft beers on tap are a nice surprise. Only thing missing? Female representation. I live in Temple Terrace and it is nice to have an establishment like the Cigar Castle close by. If you are in search of a great environment to have a cigar and an adult beverage, this is the place. The owner just recently added more taps to the selections of beers on tap bringing it to 50. The humidor is one of the best in the bay area. It also has a full liquor bar. Unlike many indoor smoking joints, this place doesn't get so untolerably smoky. With its proximity to the Beverage Castle (right next door), the staff will gladly provide you any of the beer selections next door and put it in the cooler for you while you wait for it to chill. Overall, this is a classy place with great selections of drinks and cigars. My only complaint is that the prices on draft beers is a bit high, but if you want to find those hard-to-find beers on tap, this is the place. read more

If you want a cigar and solid selection of beer, wine or liquor in the Temple Terrace, USF area the Cigar Castle is a good choice. A large humidor, 21+ beers on draft and a full liquor bar provide the necessities for a good time conversing with friends and/or watching a game. I walked in just to pick up a cutter and lighter because I didn't want to risk traveling with my nice set. Their professional and friendly service naturally encouraged me to stick around and browse their humidor...WOW what a selection! The beer selection is robust as well! I ended up picking up a smoke, my choice was quickly paired with another complementary cigar free of charge! I have forgotten what is was like for storekeepers to actually 'work' for your business. This place is currently going through a huge remodel and when it is done, it is going to be legit. They are adding in a huge bar and putting in couches - I think the look they are going for is more bar/smoking lounge. As far as retail cigar selection - it doesn't get bigger or better than this. The true gem about the "Cigar Castle" is that they just opened up right next store the "Beer Castle". We went and checked it out, EVERY speciality beer you could think of was there. Plus they also said that if something you wanted wasn't there, they could order it for you. We bought a party keg of 'Paulander Oktoberfest Marzen" for $26.00.
