This last visit meant more to me than he probably knows. I had just been laid off from my job and had an important interview the next day. I felt overwhelmed and stressed and knew I needed a haircut to feel even a little more confident going into it. Even though Leo was fully booked for days, he offered to see me two and a half hours after his normal closing time. After a long day of work, he still welcomed me with kindness, patience, and warmth and took incredible care of me without ever making me feel rushed or like an inconvenience. When I went to pay at the end of the appointment, Leo stopped me and told me he was taking care of my haircut because of what I was going through. That moment genuinely brought me to tears. Omg I was so happy how my lifeless hair had so much volume and how the front part of my hair framed my face perfectly! Throughout the cut he would stop and just analyze my hair and kept measuring to make sure we didn't go to short and at one point he told me to not be afraid but it's going to look like he's cutting a lot of my hair up top but it won't be much. Thankfully he gave me the warning because I was like omg will I go bald?? LOL When we were done he styled my hair and wow. I feel so light and I look so different! My hair is purple and very long, so my hair appointments take literally the entire day. Everywhere I go though, I get compliments on my hair all the time. Some people would say this salon is expensive, but to me, the quality they offer is worth it. I've been to cheaper salons and have had really bad experiences. Because my hair is high maintenance and costly, they do a great job of giving me some samples of their products. We saw the place many times while shopping at dollar tree in the plaza and thought it might be fast and inexpensive. When we arrived, there was plenty of parking nearby. The place is next to many stores and the front of the stores are pretty transparent with glass windows for walls. There were three staff, all were available and when we walked in they asked if we had an appointment. As he was getting his haircut from one of them, two customers came in, one had a 4pm as well and the other was a walk in and they were both accommodated right away. One had really long hair, they even wash your hair. The other was short just like my bfs hair. My bf asked to cut the top a bit short and at times he would ask a few changes during and the stylist would accommodate . The haircut took roughly 10-15 minutes. Since I wasn't getting a haircut, if you don't want to wait, there are clothing stores, cafes, restaurants and a dollar tree you can go to explore. The haircut was good (in my opinion), it was roughly 25$ which is more than we thought. They had a sheet of prices he showed my bf and that's when we realized we should've asked for pricing before making an appointment rather than assuming. Overall, I thought the place was clean, fast, and accommodating during a Thursday evening (they probably weren't too busy on a weekday which makes sense making an appointment on weekends if they do get busy).

Price was reasonable so I gave it a shot. Location a little bit confusing to find. Basically look for the salon on 10 1st Ave, the ask for Kit, he has his own station at the back of the salon. I'm pretty passive myself, so while I came in for recommendations, I didn't push too hard. He was very accommodating, but not as assertive as I would have liked. Not his fault, just would have wanted more guidance but too passive to ask for it ha. My son and I ended up getting similar haircut, which neither of us minded. His hand/scissor skills seemed very efficient. Lots of quick, small cuts, that moves quickly. He had some concerns cutting my 7 year old sons hair, understandably. After seeing my sons mild demeanor, he was willing to cut and welcomed us back for next time. My cut was initially a bit longer on top than I wanted, he apologized (unnecessarily) and immediately went to trim the top a bit more.
