The problem is when I contracted them to install a basement egress window. Very different experience here. I have tried to work with them on getting to a good conclusion, but i believe i am stuck with a shoddy looking window form the outside. Looks nice from inside at least. In short; -It took them much longer to finish once started than promised -My window well is crooked -The egress cover doesn't fit properly (looks haphazard) -My irrigation system is still leaking due to carelessness (not from the digging actually) Additional concerns; -Basement wall interior has many chunks missing from it now. (fixed) -Irrigation system cover damaged during backfill (dirt was just laid on ground, not on a tarp or piece of wood as I was told it would be). -Dirty/no post job clean up in basement. I removed the rubble myself, a mess still remains. -Instead of leaving the backfill dirt as promised, they took it all, so the soil around the window is depressed again. (still sinking and i have no backfill dirt) -My fence was not repaired properly from removal and damage done by backhoe. (fixed) -They tried to put the window in the wrong place. (caught in time)

Bob came out today and was friendly and helpful. He took some Time to gather measurements and get an estimate together. I felt confident with the process and estimate. Crew leader Alex was very helpful. My home over 100 years old and the basement was probably hand dug. My wall that needed service was made of stone, brick and mortar. Very pleased with our job.

WOW!!!!! FANTASTIC!!! Jeremy, Tina, the owners of Clean Air Plus, and their crew did an AMAZING job…read moreremoving the toxic and nontoxic mold from our house. They answered our phone calls within an hour and usually answered the phone immediately . They contained the areas in which they were removing mold with heavy plastic that had "zippered" entrances so no mold escaped into other parts of the house. We had to gut both bathrooms, remove ceiling in certain areas, and completely clean mold off beams and walls, etc. in the unfinished part of our home as well. No job was too big or small for them. They even noted where mold was on books. They are very honest and I trusted them to be in our home without me being present!!!!!!! HIRE THEM!!!!!!!!! They are worth their fair price.

What a great experience. Let me first say that I did my research. Our new home is 110 years old and…read morethe hardwood was in awful shape. The upstairs had pine which was painted brown in most room's and light blue in another. Pine is gorgeous even though it's soft wood. I really want to make sure that the company we chose would respect the age and take care of it. I had 3 estimates and Korfhage was competitive. We needed the entire house refinished with adding new red oak in two room's. This included the staircase. Patrick came out a couple of days after I reached out. He provided the estimate in a timely fashion. Stan and his crew were amazing. He educated us on the floors we had and respected the age/ quality. He knew his stuff. Patrick told us it would take possibly 1.5 weeks and it did. They knew we were on a time crunch because we were about to move in, and they accommodated. I would hands down use them again. They cared for our property, were thorough, and minus the dust which you can't avoid, they left the home in better shape than it was when they walked in. Highly recommend.

The sales process was easy to navigate and the selections were substantial. I was in the midst of…read moreremodeling the room and carpet was the last piece of the puzzle. I had already removed the old carpeting and padding. I have a home sound system and the day of the measurement, I asked the gentleman if my plans to run wires are around the perimeter of the room would work for installation. I was told yes, no problem. I spent several hours running the wires and securing the to the subfloor. I took pictures of what I had done and took them to the Korfage location and showed them to the same gentleman that had done the measurements and he again assured me that was not a problem. Day of installation and the installers arrive and tell me those wires were absolutely not going to work. I watched as they pulled all the wires I had carefully laid and ran them down the center of the floor which I had tried to avoid as I feared they will be visible after the carpet padding gets packed down after foot traffic of the course of a few years. Very frustrating. For anyone who has read this far, your takeaway should be a few things. 1. Korfages has a great selections of carpet. 2. The sales process was easy as I took samples home which made the selection quite easy. 3. Their prices are a bit higher than the big box stores but buying carpet from a guy that was mixing paint the day before kinda offsets that issue. 4. Everyone that I dealt with at Korfhages were very nice. 5. My carpet looks fine, the installers were professional. 6. I'm not sure of why the disconnect between what I was told about the wiring by the measuring gentleman and the installers but that was frustrating. I hope I don't have a wire lump across my floor in a year or so. 7. Would I use Korfhages again? I think I would but I would likely ask some additional pointed questions.

Can't recommend Ted and 502 Construction enough!…read more In fact, I have given his info to two people so far and will likely be sharing it even more in the future. I reached out to 502 Construction via Yelp, and Ted, the owner, responded directly to me and came out to look at our issue firsthand before giving us a quote. It meant so much to be able to talk to him about this from the start. The stone facade on a back wall in our garden had fallen off, due to water getting behind the stone and freezing. We also wanted to add a brick topper to that wall, to match the wall on the other side of our back yard, and we wanted a metal railing added to the length to prevent anyone from falling off the side of the wall, which abuts our parking pad. Ted's bid was fair, and when he started the work, he was at our house everyday (excluding a couple of days due to bad weather) until it was complete. He was communicative and receptive throughout. And his work more than met our expectations. He had to individually measure and cut maybe 100 bricks so that the topper would work with the incline of the wall. He went a couple of places to find brick that would match brick we already had at our house, and he cut and welded the railing on site. We still need to paint the railing, but it is night and day better compared to what it was. (I will be sure to add before-and-after photos once it is 100% complete.) Ted is going on our list of contractors to have handy and to recommend to all who will listen.
