We arrived on time- not set up for us yet- We looked around super cute space, lots of fun art supplies- would be fun for kids. We were down one in our party. We sat down and their completed example was on an easel- there were 4 of us and only 3 pieces of paper (shaped like an easel) with paint (red, white, blue, and yellow). I asked for one more- and it felt like I was asking for too much and putting them out. We were given 2 brushes each- my larger brush - the bristles were stuck together- I asked for an alternate one- and I was given another. (We were the only ones who signed up/showed up?). Also, we were surprised for a margarita paint and sip, we had no margaritas/ only hard seltzer margarita flavored- I am not supposed to drink anything with bubbles/carbonated. Ok, I drank one anyway.... I was disappointed when we found out- this was a "self-guided" painting experience. We had no idea that no one was going to teach us anything. The picture example was up there and we were told it was best to paint the background first. The margarita glass was drawn on our canvas. I have been to other paint and sips- but with an artist walking us through the steps. This felt more like open art space hours. I was disappointed. I wanted to love this space. It's close to home, seems woman owned, and has great potential. For Me, and my group, I don't feel we had the experience we expected. I wish the staff was more interactive, provided guidance; instead the 3 of them were at a nearby table creating social media and we listened to the same playlist overhead on repeat. It's a great space, I'd call and ask how the paint/sip was run if you are looking for a guided paint class.

They had been located west on Main Street previously and are now located near the old 5 Points. Nice facility/studio. The classes are 1.5 hours long. Even though we have taken classes previously the owner Meghan offers the first class free to see how your child takes to the class. It is a mix of students (advanced to beginners). I counted 12 stations in the front room and a few more in the back studio along with larger tables. The work with pastels first and then they can move to drawing or oils. Meghan is very patient, knowledgeable, caring and a wonderful instructor. Our kids just loved the experience and was very excited to come back. Meghan also mentioned if you miss a session you may make it up. You won't lose it or have to use it for the 8 weeks in a row type contract. At the end of the class she holds an art show with all of the aspiring artists art work and talks about each one. If your looking for an activity for your kids check it out. Drop the kids off and head down the street for coffee, gelato or a meal!

They brought the educational elements to life in a way that was interactive, entertaining, and nothing short of a full-on show! We did the Luminescence experience, and it didn't matter if we were experienced artists or hadn't picked up a paintbrush since 5th grade, we found ways to make the project our own. They provide stencils and examples to guide you if you feel stuck, but there's also plenty of room to have fun with it. Their venue feels like a secret art lair... unassuming from the outside and packed with incredible art and theatre props on the inside. There's so much to take in before and after the show! I could go on, but if you're on the fence, just book it! Julia and Aaron are incredibly talented, welcoming, and passionate, and supporting them means supporting something truly special. You won't regret it. Thank you, Julia and Aaron, for making my mom's birthday so memorable!
