If you're into beads, crystals and handmade jewelry and in the city of Milwaukee you need to visit this store. For those of you who do make and sell jewelry, you can get a discount if you register your EIN with them. My friend got $500 worth of product for $250 with her EIN. Happy shopping!

Offerings range from very reasonably priced seed beads to higher end stuff like Swarovski crystals and sterling silver. Pretty much everything in between is well represented - semi precious beads, strands, accent and focal beads and plenty of tools. I find the staff here is really helpful too - I was looking for a specific chain style and while they didn't stock it, they were able to guide me to plenty of alternates.

She was super helpful and patient with us while we tried to pick what technique we wanted. They also offer all sorts of art and crafts you want to try. Great ace to make your own art and gift them to friends and family or for yourself! We used a Groupon for the base canvas that came with the 10"x20" size. Resin was $25 extra, which I think would be worth it!

We had Vanessa as our instructor and she was great. She explained everything well. She was willing to help if needed. Don't worry if you think you can't paint. They give you step by step instructions on how to paint the picture. Even if yours doesn't look like what is on display, at least you put your own flair on it! We painted the Eiffel Tower and my husband & I certainly tried our best. Our painting didn't exactly look like the example but we certain had fun painting it. Who knew I bit of artistic talent....but don't bet on me to be the next Picasso. We will definitely be doing this again. We may bring more people with us next time!

I have always wanted to paint a picture. Now I have. How about that. So, the instructor/host was very helpful. She was able to get me, a no talent hack, to paint a fantastic Louvre worthy painting. It was so good, in fact, that I went into work the next day and quit my job. I informed HR that my artistic talents were being wasted in a dump like this. Thank you Vanessa for bringing out my inner Van Gogh. I will be going to more Paint Nites to hone my craft.

The owner, Mary, is a hoot. She bought the place from a washer/dryer and refrigerator shop (which explains the Maytag sign on the building). Some of the left over equipment (stove, etc) is used for storage now. She still takes service calls for the Maytag people! There is a lot of decor-type items for sale. Good place to go for a mother's day gift if your mom is interested in decor or gardening. The goblet painting class was fun. It was just my mom and me and another woman. We painted wine glasses. Mary provided complete start up instruction on the paints and lots of tips, but let our creatively rule the design. It was fun. I would suggest this place for a party (wedding shower? adult birthday party?). Mary also has other painting classes, and ring crafts, and mosaic mirror classes.

I have no doubt she's going to do great things in her career. The school has definitely improved since my last visit, and overall I had a positive experience. However, there are still a few areas that could be more customer-friendly. The waiting and check-in area has very limited seating, with few options available besides an employee table while clients are being processed. Amenities are also somewhat limited, with only water and tea available.Parking downtown can be challenging, and the school's pricing is higher than some other schools I've visited in recent weeks. That said, I really appreciate the extended evening hours, which make scheduling appointments very convenient and accessible.Overall, the quality of service was excellent, and Ashley was a standout. I wish her all the best as she begins her professional career!

I stopped in today because I had to cancel my regular hair appointment and needed a quick refresh--a V-cut cleanup and a pedicure before an upcoming vacation. You really can't beat the prices here, and the location is super convenient right off Hwy 100 and the freeway. That said, your experience really depends on the student you're paired with. Some are more confident, engaged, and eager to learn than others--which makes a big difference in the overall service. The same student did both my pedicure and haircut. The pedicure was good overall--the lotions and massage were really nice--but I was a little disappointed they no longer remove dead skin, which is something I personally look for. Color selection is somewhat limited, but still decent. My haircut was pretty simple--just a cleanup with added layers. The instructor did step in to guide the student, and while it wasn't done exactly right at first, the instructor finished it off and it ended up looking good and much healthier. I also got a shampoo with a really nice scalp massage, which was a highlight. I do like supporting the students and the learning environment, but it's important to go in with realistic expectations. It's a great option for affordable services--you just have to remember they're still learning.

First and foremost, this is a beauty school and the prices reflect that. When I make an appointment, I don't make the appointment thinking I'll always get in and out on time because there are times when they run behind and patience is a must when you come here. More often than not though, appointments are on time and I'm greeted by a friendly student who is eager to do a great job! Second, all students check in with their instructors before and after the cut so there could be touch ups by a more seasoned hand if the cut doesn't quite meet the required standards. But, very rarely have a left here with a cut where I wasn't happy. Quite honestly, I've received better haircuts here for $13 than I have at some salons where I've paid more than $40! After a quick review with the instructor, every haircut includes a shampoo and conditioning. Occasionally, there will be a little head massage even. After cut is checked, the student asks what kind of style is preferred before we're sent out into the world with our new 'do. I've received a few services here and all are well worth the price tag and it's a win-win because you're giving students the opportunity to practice their craft before heading out into the real world. Salons offer a different environment but I'll continue to come here because the price and the quality can't be beat!
