They provide stencils and examples to guide you if you feel stuck, but there's also plenty of room to have fun with it. Their venue feels like a secret art lair... unassuming from the outside and packed with incredible art and theatre props on the inside. There's so much to take in before and after the show! It was intimidating walking in and seeing all the gorgeous works but everyone there was incredibly welcoming and that extended into the Hand Building I class that I took. The instructor, Lila, was engaging, exciting, and incredibly knowledgeable (and she brought in fresh bread one week!). The class was a touch more free-range and self-directed than I expected but in the end I think that was really for the best - it pushed me to dive into my own creativity (what little there is) and in the end I will be walking away with a handful of fun pieces. I absolutely intend to come back for more classes and potentially signing up for a membership. Open Tuesday - Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. the rotating exhibits are done by students, faculty, staff and even alumni of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. I visited when the After-Hours exhibit was on display, and I really enjoyed it. I was warmly greeted the moment I walked in and was left to enjoy the art to my hearts content. The art on display was thought-provoking and included a variety of artistic mediums. I especially enjoyed the hand-crafted goods available for purchase like homemade fishing lures ($50) and pendants with Wisco flare. Prices are on the higher end but keep in mind these are made by artists/hand-crafted. High quality and one of a kind! You can also purchase some of the work on display in case you fall in love with a piece and want to enjoy it forever. Great spot to enjoy a bit of Milwaukee's artistic side and celebrate local talent in an easy way!

My friend and I went to this newer crafting studio located near downtown Waukesha tonight. They…read moreoffer wine, hard ciders, hard seltzer's, soda, and I believe beer (I'm not a beer drinker so I didn't pay attention to that). They also have light snacks and sandwiches. The space is bright and open with many different project options. Generally, it is recommended that you go to their website and pick a project at least 24 hours in advance so they can prepare the materials and stencils (if needed). The projects are very reasonably priced compared to other similar places and they are more than willing to customize projects based on pictures you send them! We arrived and got a bin with our wood boards and other supplies. We started by sanding the boards and putting them together and staining/painting them. The owners are very friendly and helpful through the whole process. They have many stain, paint, and glitter options to really customize your project! We had a blast and found it to be very relaxing! The owners also won't let you help clean up -- a plus when you just want a break haha. I can't wait to go back! I should also note that they do many different projects such as string art, dirty cup paintings (which look awesome), clocks, and even candle holders. They accommodate groups for birthday parties and bachelorette parties as well! Overall, if you are looking to do some crafting I'd say check out Artsy Bliss!

This has been a wonderful experience for our kids (5 & 8). They have taken classes here last year…read moreand now we signed them up for 8 weeks. They had been located west on Main Street previously and are now located near the old 5 Points. Nice facility/studio. The classes are 1.5 hours long. Even though we have taken classes previously the owner Meghan offers the first class free to see how your child takes to the class. It is a mix of students (advanced to beginners). I counted 12 stations in the front room and a few more in the back studio along with larger tables. The work with pastels first and then they can move to drawing or oils. Meghan is very patient, knowledgeable, caring and a wonderful instructor. Our kids just loved the experience and was very excited to come back. Meghan also mentioned if you miss a session you may make it up. You won't lose it or have to use it for the 8 weeks in a row type contract. At the end of the class she holds an art show with all of the aspiring artists art work and talks about each one. If your looking for an activity for your kids check it out. Drop the kids off and head down the street for coffee, gelato or a meal!
