The space itself is super clean, modern, and open -- the high ceilings make a huge difference and it was easy to bring our vision to life. What really stood out was how easy the whole process felt. Communication was clear, setup was ready when we arrived, and throughout the event everything flowed exactly how we hoped. You can tell they've done this many times and know how to anticipate what's needed without you having to stress. Our guests kept complimenting the space and how comfortable everything felt. It was the perfect mix of elevated but still welcoming. If you're looking for a venue in Milwaukee that's flexible, well-run, and actually makes your life easier as a host, I'd definitely recommend Warehaus.

We booked when the venue wasn't even done being constructed yet, so I have to be honest I was nervous going in since I relied on reviews for booking all of my other vendors, and obviously there were now reviews for South Second yet. I am SO thankful we went with South Second for our wedding reception. Michelle was absolutely incredible to work with. I had tons of ticky tacky questions and she helped me answer all of them, we had a last minute seating change that she accommodated quickly and professionally on the day of. We have gotten so many compliments on how fun and beautiful the venue was. I also can't even count how many people said it was some of the best food they've ever had at a wedding. This place and the staff are absolutely amazing.

Talked to Michelle on the phone and she was anything but easy to work with. My fiance and I both work 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday. She wouldn't allow us to come in after 5pm on the weekdays and she said that she wasn't available to tour the venue on a Saturday. I understand there are weddings but there are plenty of venues that fit us in well before the wedding that same day to accommodate us. We're very happy we didn't go with this venue because I would have worried what the rest of the communication would have been through the planning.

Angry?! I was both. I finally called to ask if the hours had changed. It's not that the hours have changed, per say, but the business has changed. The New business model is event space only and no longer open to the public. Whilst this makes me incredibly sad as that was my hidden spot and the only champagne bar in Milwaukee it's bittersweet because of course a great success for the business in that they have enough event reservations to sustain it alone. Will someone else please open a champagne bar? (with bigger glasses -- now I know I'm asking too much!) Cuvee was one of my places... my hidden places to take people for the first time because I always knew 9 times out of 10 no one knew about it. The access to the building from the street was a complete mystery and an adventure on it's own as people would ask: "Where are you taking me". Silence I would remain... for I didn't want to take away from the journey. Oh and also, I quite simply love, love, love champagne. My only issue with champagne is the tiny, skinny little glass that it comes in. Makes me sad just thinking about the littleness of a champagne glass... *tears up*

When I arrived, 10 min early, the elevator was locked to reach that floor. I called twice and went to voicemail and also emailed to let them know I was waiting. After waiting 15-20 min after our scheduled time we asked another vendor in the building if they had any access to that floor or another phone number for us and we were informed that when a floor is locked that means no one is present in the space. It's been hours and I still haven't heard back... Extremely frustrated with the lack of service and shocked that I was willing to spend so much money on a place with such poor regard for their guests.

Oh, and of course coffee and food too. Well, I found that and MORE here at Wantable Cafe. Not only is it FREE to come here--no monthly subscription unlike some other remote work cafes but they also let you reserve noise cancelling pods. Two pods have couches where a few people can sit and work together and one pod is for a solo person working--or like in my case having to take an exam with dead quietness, no people, pets and be heavily scrutinized. The rest of the cafe has a bunch of tables ranging from 2 people to groups of 6 people, couches, comfy chairs AND lots of plug outlets. So there is plenty of space for you and others if you need it. Now let's get to the good part---the FOOD. The have gourmet pizza slices sold by the ounce, gourmet cannolis (the matcha and chocolate was to die for), breakfast sandwiches, bowls, snacks, basically everything you could want to set up shop. Plus wine and beer! My only wish is that they were open 24/7 because I also work 3rd shift and finding anywhere to study without waking up my wife and disturbing my precious dog is difficult.

It's down a side street off of 1st Street, so it's easy to miss. It's a brick building sitting on the corner, with just enough signage to let you know you're at the right place. Inside is a large area that is both a coffee shop and a coworking/collaboration space to help people connect. There are large tables for groups, small tables for couples, or work pods for privacy. Great idea! They have the usual barista favorites, along with smoothies, breakfast, and lunch items. When I arrived, there were several other people working on their laptops. Met the friendly barista and ordered my usual London Fog Tea Latte (a little lavender, a little vanilla, extra foam). They didn't have scones (so sad), but they did offer some nice bakery items that they source from Stone Creek Coffee. After several minutes, my London Fog was ready, along with the Morning Bun. They did a nice job with the drink, it was the perfect temperature (about 140F), and the pastry was warmed up nicely as well. During my time there, other people started to show up, but the noise level was good. Conversations were quiet and respectful of others. This place does a nice job of balancing the intimacy of a coffee shop with the need for a collaboration space.
